My Pet's Animal Hospital

If you have to leave your pup, My Pet's Animal Hospital's Alcoa Location, is the best boarding experience we have ever had. We recently had to leave our Reggie for NINE (9!) days. The large full-view glass door "rooms" are so much less stressful than the "runs" or "cages" we have seen at some places in the past. You have many options for the level of attention your pup might need. When we picked Reggie up, it was obvious he had lots of loving care. We would not leave him anywhere else in Knoxville!

New to area and needed vaccines for older cat before bringing home a newly adopted cat. Older cat is shy but staff had no problems with her at all. Staff seemed very knowledgable, helpful, patient, kind, caring, and friendly. Building was spotless clean and fresh smelling. Will be taking new cat in for same check over. Highly recommend. check their website for coupons and pics!!

I do all my boarding at this location. They have the best facility, and their cageless doggie rooms make my babies feel right at home. They are great, and great special love and care while I am away.

I understand, having been out of a job for 6 months now, that sometimes (although we may not want it) our pets see the short end of the stick when it comes to the money we have in our budget. Many people start skimping on vital shots and medication.

But you don't have to ... we don't even at only 1/2 the income we were making. Both Tink and Bella, are current on our shots. How? My Pets Animal Hospital ALWAYS has coupons out in the Mint Magazine. You can sign up for coupons to be mailed to you ... and you are receiving "coupon" care when you go in.

My Pets Animal Hospital is top-notch health care for your pets. Dr. Paige remembers my pets by NAME ... and calls personally to make sure they are ok. I don't think you will find that anywhere else.

I always recommend them to all of my pet owner friends, and they are crazy to go anywhere else.

My dogs love the staff at My Pets so much we've accused them of getting the sniffles just to go visit! Every time we're there they know them by name and treat them like they would treat their own pets. Plus, the card they give you is good for $10 off after you spend $100, so we buy food and all there. When we moved here My Pets was closest and the first vet we visited, and we've never gone anywhere else. Our Black Lab / Irish Setter mix began having digestive problems that could have eventually required extensive bloodwork, as it came back persistently a few weeks after each round of antibiotics. Dr. Page hooked us up with an inexpensive probiotic supplement to try first that saved us a LOT of money - Ari has been a happy camper ever since with no more problems. A+ in my book!

Had an excellent experience at My Pet's Animal Hospital in Alcoa. They always have my prescription dog food on hand when I come in to get it. I would recommend this pet hospital to anyone with a pet. They are very caring and always check on your animal once you get them back home if you had any type of treatment for your pet.

This is the BEST vet office we have ever been to. They actually care about the animals. They know who we are when we come in and also when I call. They know all of the kids by name and ALWAYS asks how they are doing. And they LOVE my puppy.

I was very impressed with the attentiveness of the staff and the vet at My Pet's Hospital. The vet took the time to listen to my concerns about my cat and gave her advice to help him. She didn't try to push costly and unnecessary tests. All the staff was very friendly.

Both of our dogs go to My Pets Animal Hospital. We love them. We moved here from Florida 2 years ago and needed a local vet. We decided on My Pets. They are clean, friendly and professional. We have recommended My Pets to all our neighbors and a few have switched to My Pets from their previous vets.

We go to My Pets in Knoxville for vet exams and visits because it is closer to home, but it is worth the drive to Alcoa when we need to board. My dog is happy when I leave her and happy when I pick her up. That has not been the case using other boarding facilities in town. My Pets is excellent and the care and treatment Lola receives there is the best around by far. I highly recommend My Pets for all of your vet needs and boarding needs.

All the employees at My Pets are extra nice & caring. They took extra care with Charlie. He has an abnormal hip joint & they showed a lot of compassion & ease when handling him. Charlie doesn't mind his vet visits since switching to My Pets.

I have been taking my two dogs there for about two years and I could not be more pleased. They are wonderful. They have always taken great care of my dogs. The staff has always been super nice and helpful.

I have always been impressed with the care and compassion that I have received at MyPets. As someone in the medical field, I am more than aware that you cannot please everyone all the time no matter how good you are. I believe that is what has happened to MyPets in the poor reviews that seemed to be written before. This vet/facility is top notch.

I have moved around a lot, so needless to say I have been to many vets. I have never found a place that I love so much. I would (and do) recommend My Pet's to anyone I know. Dr. Sam and his staff are very caring people. They even call you to follow up after appointments! I have never met another vet who does that. They will give it to you straight and not try to sell you on unnecessary procedures. They have always given my animals the best treatment, and saved one of my animals from dying. Their prices are also very competitive. However, to me the important thing is that my vet can give my animals the best possible treatment, and the staff at My Pet's can do that. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

When my dog, new cocker spaniel puppy, broke her leg, they helped me with X-Rays and diagnosis and referred me to an Orthopedic Surgeon for her. They discussed the case with the Surgeon and gave me all the X-Rays to take to her to save me money. Needless to say with Dr. Sam's help she's walking great and being spoiled rotten 2 years later. When my cat had a VERY rare disease that killed him, Dr. Sam allowed us to say goodbye in a caring way and they even helped us with caring for his remains. When my childhood Cocker Spaniel started having heart failure my mother took her to several vets who recommended outlandishly expensive treatments and referred her to UT Vet Hospital. We took her in to see Dr. Sam who gave us a rational and clear picture of the situation. We unfortunately decided to put her down because her quality of life was quickly diminishing to the point that she was very very miserable. When we made that decision we all met up at Dr. Sam's My Pet's Animal Hospital and had a pretty teary moment in one of the rooms. The staff was excellent and really sympathetic and understanding during that time. I would never take a pet anywhere other than My Pet's. They are the best Vet I've ever had the pleasure of going to.

I wouldn't put too much stock in the previous reviews. I have been a client of both the old owners and the new owners, and I think that it is better now. The clinic has been completely remodeled into a modern hospital (something we can be proud of in Blount County) and Dr Sam is a wonderful person. The staff has always been very friendly and compassionate, and are looking out for my dog's best interests. Give them a try first...

my dog had an emergency two weeks ago, took her to AAC, as we were a pt of Dr D's The new vet looked at her went in and out of exam room 3-4 times, consult w/other vet in his office, (he was doing paperwork), then came back w/my dog under his arm,we were there an hr. He considered this emergency surgery,said they would leave her in cage all night, no one there, then do surgery in a.m. I said no thanks, took her home,put her in cage, her eye started to bleed shortly thereafter, I immed'ly took her to ER in Alcoa, another vet Dr. H took excellent and immediate care of her, did surgery, kept her overnight, picked her up a.m, got diagnosis, meds etc, return visit in 2 wks, he did little more minor surgery, more meds, and she is doing fine. The other vets wanted to take her eye out which they recommended. I was not impressed at all with the new owners/vets. I even asked "are you a veterinarian? " I am sorry they seemed to have more fun playing in the computer instead of treating my dog. My hubby was in waiting room and observed the actions of the people working there. We are not impressed and very unhappy with their "care" or lack of for my dog. She is my baby, they just don't know how much a dog means to a person. Dr Dick would never have done this, needless to say we switched to new vet.

The first post used to be true. Dr. Daughtery was top notch, but he has sold out to a yankee who apparently thinks he's going to take all the dumb hillbillies to the cleaners. Besides myself, I have talked to two other people who have said in just the first month of new ownership, they have tried to sell them procedures they didn't need, and you can tell there just isn't a good quality staff anymore. I mean, they gave my dog a prostate exam,,,, well, no details,, let's just say they made it very much worse than it had to be for him. I had to spend alot of extra money to get second and third opinions to make sure they were wrong, and so did the other folks I talked to. Find a new vet. Send this quack back to California or Canada or wherever it is he came from.

Found this little hidden treasure after my dog was swarmed by ticks....Called up to ask about Lyme's Disease described very clearly! Even allowed me to pick up a heavy duty vet. tick collar! Great!
