I went to Belle Meade Dermatology to have my ear loop piercing restitched. The hole to my ear piercing was ripped enough to send a small earring loop thru it. I was always to scared to wear diamonds, cause I felt I might loose them. Although my ear piercing wasn't completely ripped I wanted the hole fixed, so I decided to let Dr. Chris Purdue restitch my ear. This was a simple procedure slit the ear and restich the hole. I mentioned to Dr. Purdue that my right ear was stitched so tight that it was pointed, he said don't worry it will loosing up in a couple of weeks. I returned two weeks had the stitches removed and my ears repierced which was done by one of the nurses. My piercing was little off, and a year later my earring fell out!!! The same ear that was stitched so tight it was pointed never shapened normal split in half!!! I went to visit Dr. Purdue to let him see his poor work after one year later. Instead of him being apologetic he was so rude, he said I can't help you, you have to see a plastic surgeon for this and then charged me a $130 office visit!!!! I would hate to see his work if it was something major!!! I dont recommend Belle Meade dermatology to no one!!! Do your homework!! As you can see there are more thane one complaint about this dermatologist!!!

I was misdiagnosed and overtreated for the simple mole I had and was left with scars after I was reassured twice there would be no scarring. It would have been less noticeable to leave it alone but then they wouldn't be able to send me the $600 bill.\n\nFor a common rash condition, I was given unnecessary cortisone injections which are known to have no effect on the common condition I have. Not to mention, they are toxic.\n\nA follow up with a different dermatologist brought honesty in telling me there is no treatment. \n\nBelle Meade went ahead and did unnecessary cortisone injections, labs and treatments leaving me with scars and a large and unexpected bill.\n\nThe person treating me was barely 20 years old, obviously inexperienced, and I would not recommend this clinic.

I really don't understand a couple of reviews about this dermatologist.\r\nWe had nothing but a great experience with Dr. Chris Pardue. Everyone was very courteous and respectful to us.\r\nWe always got in and out even before appointment times.\r\nSounds like they are talking about The Gold Skin care clinic, that is what happened to us at that clinic.\r\nI WOULD RECOMMEND DR PARDUE TO ANYONE. As for the other Drs in the clinic don't know about them so perhaps they should give the Drs name that treated them so badly.

I'm 50+ and had two small 'sun spots' or 'age spots' on my face. I wanted them checked out by a dermatologist since I have a family history of melanoma. Then I was going to ask if something like Retin-a would help fade them. \r\n\r\nDr Chris Pardue looked at my face and without saying another word, directed his assistant to freeze them off. She proceeded to freeze the spots and FIVE other places on my face before I even had time to respond. Seriously, after the sixth one, I said ""Stop! wait a minute! how is this going to look tomorrow when I go back to work?"" To which Dr Pardue said, ""Oh, they'll be scabbed and oozing for several days and then disappear."" \r\n1)he never asked me if it was a convenient time for me to have scabs all over my face!!!!\r\n2) he belittled me for questioning him\r\n3) he left without ever giving me any aftercare instructions!!! (could I wash my face? could I use makeup to cover the scabs???---I finally just asked the receptionist at the desk as I left, almost in tears.)\r\n\r\nThe following day, the scabs were dime-sized, oozing and didn't heal for 2 weeks. Even now months later, I still have large, light -brown patches where each removal was---and the sun spots are STILL THERE! I've been extremely cautious about using sunscreen so the spots don't get worse. I wouldn't dream of returning to his office. He was terribly, terribly arrogant and unprofessional.I just hope this review may help someone else avoid his office. I know when I booked the appt, I was thinking, ""well-Belle Meade Dermatology----it's GOT to be a decent place!"" WRONG.\r\n\r\nLastly, I'd assumed when I mentioned my family history of melanoma that he would do a 'body check' to see if I had any suspicious places---but nope----just zapped the heck out of my face, charged me a couple hundred bucks, and left. He should be ashamed of himself.

Pros: none I saw

Cons: rude MD; no follow up instructions; scarring

I attempted to see the doctor after making another appointment through his nurse. When my son and I arrived, after sitting out in an empty waiting room for 40 minutes we were told that we could not see the doctor unless we paid for the visit previously. I explained that the previous visit was what we wanted to see him about and I would pay after speaking with the doctor. The office staff refused to let me speak with the doctor or continue with the appointment. After driving 20 miles there and 20 miles back, taking my son out of high school early for the appointment we were rather put out about the whole thing.\r\n\r\nI did contact the TN Department of Commerce and Insurance regarding the situation. Belle Mead Dermatology refused to negotiate with us through them.\r\n\r\nAs of this time I have received threatening phone calls and a couple of letters for someone claiming to be the attorney for the dermatology office.\r\n\r\nAnother add-on to this mess. As of April of 2010 my son is being harassed in college by these people for $139.00 which they are threatening court action for. Wow, this organization must be really feeling the economy to do this type of business. I guess the doctor wants to take his significant other out for dinner with the money.\r\n\r\nWhat worries me the most about the situation is the fear that they will endanger his life. They know which dorm he is in and the room number. I am contacting the college to advise them of the problem. My son is taking 18 credits and going into finals, he does not need to be afraid.\r\n\r\nWe have contacted the BBB, an attorney, and The Tennessean to see if they want to do an article about the situation. Is should be interesting.

Cons: Trying to use scare tactics for work not rendered.

Have been seeing Debra & Kelly at Belle Meade Aesthetic Center for 5 years. They never make me wait, the results are great, they're honest about the results, and their prices are in line. They're no-frills compared to other spas, but I like that they're associated with doctors. I trust them with my face.

I was originally a patient of Dr. Chris Pardue, but I went to see Patrick and found that he was much more suitable to take care of my problems.I have now been a patient of Patrick's for about 2 years and have had several visits and I found that he was quite professional and very confident with his patients and I felt comfortable with him. I am an elderly woman and he was very respectful, even helping me with my coat one winter day. He is a very outstanding young man. I liked that I was able to get in to see him and get out quickly as it is not easy for me to get around. The last time I went to Belle Meade Dermatology, Patrick was out of the office and I had to see another young woman. I did not feel that she had that special personal touch that Patrick does with his patients. I highly recommend him to anyone needing to see a Dermatologist and I have sent him several referrals. Patrick Stansbury is extremely good at what he does and he is a sweet man. A lot of physicians talk down to elderly people but he never did that to me and has been nothing but kind and helpful.

I was a patient of Mr. Stansbury's as well. I had seen several doctors for my cystic acne and my incredibly dry skin with no luck. Mr. Stansbury is the only person who has been able to get my skin clear (and it has STAYED clear after treatment) and to get my dry skin under control. He was a complete professional and I have nothing but great things to say about him. He has also treated my cousin, mother and grandmother and we are all incredibly fond of him! He has always made himself available if we ever had questions or concerns instead of pawning us off to a nurse like a lot of practitioners do. He is exceptionally gifted in his field and a spectacular person.

I have only been to see Dr. Day a couple of times. He came strongly recommeded by a friend. I would recommend him. His nurses were not very sociable and friendly, but the office staff was and I liked him. He was friendly and kind.
