Back in the summer, shortly before our official move, we purchased some major appliances from a sales associate named George at the Granite Run Sears store. We were assured that the appliances -- a gas stove, a built-in microwave and a dishwasher -- would be delivered on a Tuesday and installed on the very next day. I even spoke with the dispatcher for the electrical and plumbing contractors by phone, from the floor of the appliance section.

Well, the "installers" turned out to be estimators. They handed us an impossibly high set of estimates and then told the sales staff at Sears that they didn't want to complete the installation work, because they "had a feeling" that we might not pay for it (!) -- which was utter nonsense, considering the fact that we had already authorized the contractors to charge any and all work approved by us to our Sears card.

We were repeatedly lied to by George the sales associate, and his extraordinarily nasty manager, who left us waiting for three full weeks before the appliances were finally removed from our home. It was appliance hell. The national office was extremely unhelpful, as well. We've cut up our Sears card, and we will soon close all of our accounts.

I'm happy to see Sears clinging for life to another sinking ship (K-Mart) because these are two business concerns that deserve one another. Customers last. Sears no more. We finally bought from a local dealer (Delaware Valley Appliance in Springfield) and we couldn't be happier.

This is one of those garages that always over charge and always fix things that arn't broken. These guys, and this auto place, i stopped going to years ago, because they so much as told me they were replacing parts that the car didn't need. Can't prove it. But the cars that get fixed there you can't trust. And the cost is really extreme.

PROS: close to the mall, since you have to wait
CONS: over charge.

Very good store if you are in the need of hardware or the like. Great clothing at great prices. Good electronics, tvs, radios, etc. no DVDs though. The staff is very knowledgable. Best known for its hardware tho.
