Dont Ever Use this Company - Buyer Please Beware- Untrustworthy Thieves Operate this Company
I have never felt so swindled in all of my adult life. I called the company and spoke with James Popp, who immediately dispatched his crew to install my air conditioning unit. I was charged $1100 for the installation of my new unit in April. I turned on the AC in June (during the 90 degree temps) only to find that my thermostat was reading 80+ degrees. I checked the circuit breaker, the registers, and I even went online to see if I could find a plausible reason for the low air flow . When all else failed I called James Popp, he told me that he would send someone out right away to see what the problem was. The technician arrived, saw that the air filter should have been changed, and told me the filter was my problem. He charged me $140 for his time because he said I called the emergency number(which I did not) When I explained this to him he said that the owner told him to charge me because he told me to check the filter, this statement was a LIE! I had just left Home Depot and would have easily picked up an air filter while in the store. Furthermore, if they just installed my unit why wasn't this service provided or at least the recommendation for the purchase of a new air filter made? After spending $1149 I was still without air conditioning service as my thermostat read 80+ degrees. On the hottest day, my dog was subsequently taken to the animal hospital, after I arrived home from work, because she was suffering from heat exhaustion. I have since, called another service provider who told me that freon was never added to my unit and that caps were never placed on the charging valves. My home was never going to cool off. I was manipulated and robbed!!!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AS THEY WILL LIE TO YOU AND CHARGE YOU FOR SERVICES THEY NEVER PROVIDED. THE OWNER JAMES POPP IS DISHONEST AND HIS TECHNICIAN, ROGER IS EITHER UNQUALIFIED OR JUST AS MANIPULATIVE AS THE PEOPLE HE WORKS FOR!!!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NEVER LET THESE PEOPLE INTO YOUR HOME.
Cons: WILL CHARGE FOR SERVICES NOT PROVIDED AND WILL TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE!!!

this is the best company i ever used ! ihave been in the building buiness for 15 years. and have used many hvac companys AJR has some of the best prices and best workers i have ever seen. i have now used them on 9 jobs in the past 3 years and have got great work out of the , and best of all , all my custumores love them and have told there friends to use them. if you need help on heating and a/c work done call James Popp at 443-600-9888 you will never use anyone eles again.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY, THEY FALSLY CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD AND RUN UP THE COST
"BEWARE"When my heat furnace went bad I called this company who promply sent someone out, EXCEPT, the tech fooled around for about 50 minutes and then said that he found the problem and had replacd the part but his part was DOA. He say's that he has another part in his truck and goes out therer to retreive it, and that one was DOA also. So he says that he has another one in the office but he could not comeback out until tomorrow and that it would be another $110.00 min. For some reason I did not trust him so I told him why should I pay for DOA parts and told him not to come back out. I then called BG&E and had them come out, their tech was herer 5 minutes and my heat was back on then the tec hshowed me what was wrong adn I tolf him that the other tech from AJR took almost an hour and never had my heat working then he showed me how my furnace gives you a error message code that tells you EXACTLY what is wrong with it when you cross refference the code to a chart on the inside of the furnace door. And he said that the part that the AJR tech was NOT NEW. Here is the worst part, I GAVE THE AJR TECH A CREDIT CARD TO PAY FOR HIS HOUR OF TROUBLESHOOTING AND WHEN I CHECKED MY CARD AJR HAD CHARGED ME FOR THE PART AND THEY WAITED UNTIL RIGHT BEFORE THEY CLOSED FOR THE WEEKEND TO DO IT. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY

This is not the first time I've engaged AJR to take care of my heat pump and air conditioning needs. Each time I called them and had them come to my home to service my old heat pump ( which they replaced this year) I felt I was in confident and very capable hands. I highly recommend AJR to my friends and neighbors whenever there is a need for the services AJR supplies.
