I'm asian and this place had to be the worst Asian food I've ever had. The food was definity not fresh and lacked flavor. Couldn't even finish because the food was so bad. Will never go back. Also a hefty bill for tasteless unfresh food.

My husband and I love Asian food, and are regular diners at the better Chinese/Vietnamese/Burmese restaurants in Philadelphia, where we work. Living in South Jersey, however, we have found it difficult to find really exceptional Asian food. There are several Chinese restaurants in the Voorhees area, but up til now we had never tried the new kid on the block (if you can call 3 years in this location new), Coconut Bay Asian Cuisine.

One of the best features of Coconut Bay is its diverse menu that includes classic Chinese favorites along with Thai and Vietnamese influences, and Japanese specialties including a Sushi bar. But the best reason to visit Coconut Bay is the delicious food!

My husband and I started by sharing two delicious appetizers: Thai Nachos and Steamed Shrimp Dumplings. The nachos were a delicious combination of chicken in a tasty, tangy sauce and lettuce served in crispy wonton skin "chips." The steamed shrimp dumplings are something that my husband LOVES, and orders everywhere we go. Both of us were amazed at how delicious they were at Coconut Bay - they burst in our mouths with a fresh shrimp flavor that was better than we'd ever had before.

We also greatly enjoyed some of the most flavorful wonton soup we've ever had, and a great vegetarian egg roll.

For our main courses we shared the house special lo mein and sizzling beef and scallops with black pepper sauce. Both items were excellent --- we absolutely loved the unique heat from the black pepper sauce.

Coconut Bay is a great restaurant -- it is a BYO with a really beautiful dining room -- nicer than any Asian restaurant that you'd find in Chinatown -- and the food is truly outstanding.

This restaurant is located in a little strip mall. It's decorated beautifully. The menu is so varied! There is Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese food on the menu. Service is pleasant, too.
