.

This mall is okay , they dont really have alot of stores at all they just have the lower level of stores and a few on top ...its all the basic stores u can find close to my house so why should i travel so far for a store that i can find closer, Also there are alot of immature kids that go there to hang out and all they like to do is cause trouble , The food court is pretty good , its very big. But overall its okay.

One of the oldest "malls" in America and unfortunately sometimes it shows. Stores have a tendency to come and go. There used to be a Macy's, Stern's, Penney's and Sear's - then Stern's turned into a second Macy's when Federated took them over.

The mall just has a feel of lacking stores overall. For instance, there is one very small bookstore where it can be hard to find anything other than the latest best-sellers. The same is true for the record store - for a few years there wasn't any.

The selection of stores is adequate, but when my teenager really wants to shop, we head elsewhere. If we're looking for something really quick, we'll go here. The last major renovation was 20 years ago and a new food court is finally coming in the winter of 2005.

There have been safety issues over the years too, with roving gangs of teens in the mall. There have been stabbings in the mall. A local joke is if you want your car stolen, just leave it here in the parking lot. I feel safe enough here during the day but wouldn't go here after dark.

PROS: good for last-minute items, new food court coming
CONS: security issues, stores come and go quickly
