I recently lost my car keys while shopping with my kids. Thankfully I had a spare set to get home. The spare key had not been made properly and had to be turned just right in order for the van to start. It also would not lock or unlock the doors. I looked in my local phone book and picked Victor George Chrysler due to the convenient location to my house. It was a very cold day, and I had to park pretty far away from the parts department. There was no entrance from the showroom floor to the parts department, just a dingy little room off to the side of the building. As the kids and I ran it, it was not much warmer inside the parts building. We stood and waited for a good 4-5 minutes before someone finally appeared at the counter. I told the gentlemen I wanted new keys made. It is my understanding when making new keys from a VIN number you must show registration, drivers license and insurance. The gentlemen only asked me for my VIN number. I felt a little uncomfortable with that and told him so. He then asked for my registration-a little to late in my book. As we stood there and waited my children complained they were cold, as it was. The people that walked back and forth behind the counter never asked us if we needed help. The appearance of the employees was also less than stellar. It gave me an impression of a very run down business that no one cares about. When my keys were made I inquired about getting a new remote for my alarm system. The parts man told me they would be 100 dollars. I really didn't feel like spending the money, so I asked if my key would set my alarm. He told me it would not. When I got home I used my key and low and behold my alarm does work from the key. They employees were unkept, the little parts room was very dirty, and they were not knowledgeable.
