I must admit that I was less than thrilled when I accompanied my husband to this museum but within 5 minutes of walking in the door of the museum, I realized how wrong I was. This museum has great exhibits, chock full of interesting information. I had to be dragged out b/c there was so much more I wanted to see! This really is an asset to the community.

This is a small museum in the prestigious Harvard school. The museum houses variety of exhibits including stuffed animals, animal skeletons, artifacts, photos, pictures, precious stones etc. The admission is free on Sunday morning and one other day a week.

PROS: Great photographs
CONS: Would expect more

Huge museum and lots of fun. They have a giant whale skeleton hanging from a ceiling and skeletons of huge prehistoric creatures. If you get bored at museums of paintings, this place is the place to go. They also have a glass flower exhibit which looks absolutely real.

You can also rent out this space. I attended a function here with desserts, cheeses, and wines at various stations around the museum. Very classy and fun. I've also heard of people renting it out for kids' birthday parties.

Dinosaurs, including the world's only mounted 42-foot long Kronosaurus, meteorites from outer space, thousands of minerals, and over 3,000 Blaschka Glass Flowers...don't miss the University's most visited museum, just seven minute walk across the campus from Harvard Square T stop or 10 minutes from Porter Square Commuter Rail station.
