We take our German Shepherd puppy and two cats to Hudson Valley Animal Hospital. Plus, my fiance took his late chocolate lab here for 11 years and always received stellar treatment. The receptionist is very pleasant as are the vet techs (and most importantly, the vets). They seamlessly & graciously fit our pets into their schedule when urgent matters arose. Their billing is very reasonable, especially compared with my previous vet in Queens. Although we like and respect all three vets at this location, I can't rave enough about Dr.Guadino in particular. You can tell he loves animals and enjoys his work. We'll never take our pets elsewhere! :)

I have brought my animals to the HVAH to see Dr. Peter Segall and Dr. Schwartz since 1976. I have been through many experiences with them and I must say that I do not have to think twice of where to go for my pets needs or who to recommend when asked. They have in the last few years gone through some changes and many improvements. I have had the opportunity to interact with many new staff members from the front desk to Dr. Guadino and many of the other professional indivuals who work there. Of course I am a Dr.Segall "groupie" but in his absence the other Drs and staff have always been professional and extremely careful to see that my pet has the best of care.
Actually - compassion comes to mind when I think of my experiences at HVAH. A true understanding of my pets needs first.

Dr. Seigal has been the vet for my pets for about 14 years. He is kind, and always fair. He does this work for the love of animals - wish he could be my doctor. Always returns calls, calls with test results and has given support in some very difficult times. I will probably leave HVAH when Dr. Seigal retires. My experience with the new owners is they lack his heart.

Their two vets were cited for negligence by the New York professional Review Association Discipline Committee. I believe they killed my cat by injecting him with a toxic substance called Metacam. They did not take proper precautions with an older cat. They have taken no responsibility for his death. Enough said..

I have been VERY HAPPY with the care my cat, Babee, has received from Dr. Siegel & Husson Valley Animal Hospital, along with the care and assistance they gave to two additional strays I brought in and later adopted out -- one of which found a home while in the hospital's care. I think they are top-notch and would never take my Babee anywhere else.

I have been taking my cats to HVAH for 15 years and would never go anywhere else! When my female cat was very sick nearly three years ago, Dr. Siegel cried with me when I made the decision to have her put to sleep to ease her pain.
More recently, Dr. Bridget Puzzio has been caring for my male cat and though he always used to be nervous at the vet's office, he absolutely loves and trusts her.
Through the years, whether it's been Dr. Siegel, Dr. Schwartz, or Dr. Puzzio, I have always received excellent care from HVAH for my pets. They love what they do, they love the animals and it shows.
I highly recommend this practice.
