I really enjoy my dental visits at the monarch dental on Fannin. The staff is always friendly and take the time to explain everything to you. They even try to help you as a patient find the best option for you. Which is very important.\n

The staff at Monarch Dental was very helpful and friendly. I FELT SPECIAL AND WELL CARED FOR. THEY REALLY REDUCED MY PATIENT ANXIETY. DR. SPRINGS WAS INFORMATIVE AND EDUCATIONAL ABOUT THE PROCESS AND THE BEFORE AND AFTER WELL CARE. I WOULD RECOMMEND MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY FOR ANY OF THEIR DENTAL CARE NEEDS.

I have been going to this location for over a year and I have always been treated with dignity and respect. I will continue to recommend this office to my family and friends because I know they will treated fairly.\n

Great office! I love going there every time. Although I am not a huge fan of the dentist they make me feel very comfortable. I love my dental hygienist Henry she is the best!

Everyone in the office was wonderful. Loved the fact that they worked around my schedule. I moved to Kansas and they saw me on the one day I was able to be in town and first thing. The day I flew back the second time was the day I actually got my teeth and they fit like a glove. Haven\'t had any problems with either of them. I will and have recommended you to all of my friends and family and next time I get to Houston I will be stopping in to say hello. I loved all the girls in the office and showed them all the pictures of my new house every time I went in. They always asked\n

My husband went to Monarch Dental on Fannin in December. He called to request a consultation with a periodontist. When he arrived, he was seen by a General Dentist. Duh. Waste of time. Nonetheless, he was told he indeed should see a Periodontist, but couldn't get in with one until Feb.
The other problem is that despite xrays the dentist didn't mention my hubby required a Root canal and that he had infection in his bone!
We went elsewhere for the root canal.
He went Friday. Dr. Katma who told him he required Osseous Surgery 4+ @ $893 X4, plus GTR Resorbable $684, Bone Replace $364. Total $6K. He didn't mention that my hubby needed another root canal & 2 wisdom teeth extracted.

This place is a rip off. I went in for a regular cleaning and they told me I needed to come in for 2 sessions of deep cleaning and charged me over $350 each visit after which they asked me to come in every months for some other cleaning for which they charged me about $170 each visit.

I took my wife there and they examined her and mentioned she was fine and didn't need any major treatment. I call to set up an appointment for cleaving and now, not having seen her since her initial visit about 6 months back, they say she needs deep cleaning similar to what I had done.

Everytime you go there, they make you wait at least 2 hours even if you arrive on time for your appointment. Stay away from this place.

I arrived for my 1:30 appointment at 1:20 to fill out new patient paperwork. The forms were completed and turned into the receptionist by 1:35. However, by 2 PM, I still hadn't been called in! When I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be, she responded that she was glad that I had approached her because she needed a general medical release form from my treating medical physician; and that I couldn't be called back until that form arrived. However, I wasn't aware of this and no one had made any attempt to contact the physician! So I called and had the form faxed over. I was called in at 2:10 PM. Once seated in the examination cubicle (there aren't walls separating patients, only dividers so there's not much patient privacy), the assistant clipped the bib on me and told me that the doctor would be in shortly. About five minutes later, a man walked in quietly and I only noticed him behind me because I heard the snap of the gloves coming on! He proceeded to recline my seat (without any warning) and said ""Let's take a look. Nothing's bothering you, right?"" to which I responded, ""Are you the doctor?"" because he NEVER even introduced himself. And at that time, he didn't apologize for not introducing himself-- he merely nodded and then told me to ""open up."" He poked around for less than 2 minutes, said that I needed a release form from my doctor (which I informed him had been sent over) and that I would need Xrays. He then left. A few minutes later, another woman came in and began to take off my bib, saying that she would help me make another appointment! I asked her why I couldn't get the cleaning done today-- no hygienist on staff today! No one told me that when I made the appointment! How do they expect working people to keep taking days off?!\r\nI informed the woman that I was not interested in coming back to the office; cited the long wait time and the terrible bedside manner of the dentist. \r\nAnd by the way, I'm a physician myself!

Pros: Close to medical center, quick appointment

Cons: Bedside manner, attention to detail

IMy husband went to this office a month ago. They checked his teeth and they said my husband need three times deep cleaning and charged a hugh amount of money. I won't say I will recomend their office because of their pricy service.
