I have never been pleased by any hair service I have ever received. I used to just pay and not come back. Teresa did a wonderful job!!! She was attentive, professional, friendly, and talented. I know it's a bit pricey, but I have learned that it is best to go with quality. I have been to too many salons where the people were unprofessional, ruined my hair, and I spent more money trying to fix the problem which only damaged my hair further. Thank you Teresa!!!

The best hair salon I have found in Miami.
It has taken me years to find a good hair stylist in Miami, I finally found her.... Teresa! Not only is she meticulous, she takes her time, and she has a great sense of style. She also actually LISTENS to what you tell her.

Mrs. Phen is the only person my husband will let cut his hair (and he is very picky). I often go with him and she is absolutely delightful. She takes her time and does an excellent job. We both recommend her 100%.

I had been looking for a great hair salon for a while now. I have finally found it! I have to say that Lionel at Ugo di roma has been the only person capable of cutting my hair just the way I like it! He was extremely nice and talented, and i will definetely go back!

I went because I saw the reviews on this website but I have to say it was too expensive for the services I got. I have had a much better haircut and blowdry at other high-end salons that were way less expensive. I don't really recommend this salon because I am all about spending money, but only when it's worth it... the haircut and blowout I got were not worth it at all!

I had been roaming the hair salons of Miami to find a "decent" hair salon and -thanks to CitySearch- I found the jackpot Flavi at Ugo Di Roma! I would not go anywhere else. Every other salon that I went to I would ask for the same thing a dark rich chocolate color with very sutble honey highlights and the more I explained the worse and brassier it got. Then found Ugo Di Roma's very own fabulous FLAVI and I will never go anywhere else again! my hair has a rich warm look that I had been looking for. THANK YOU THANK YOU FLAVI!!!!

My FABULOUS hair guru, Flavi Serrano, just finished doing her extensions and fantastic highlights on me this past saturday. They are amazing, I can't stop touching my hair! I feel like a new woman. The extensiions were easy, painless and it only took 2 hours to put on. It's easy to care for and brush everyday and the color is perfect!
It's a DIVALICIOUS experience!
The experience at Ugo is just fantastic, I am treated like a beauty queen everytime I'm there!!!

I just went to Ugo Di Roma for highlights for my hair and got my make up done with Josie the make up artist. Josie was unbelievable! She was a true professional with such artistic skills. She knows how to enhance your looks and has a great demeanor. I would highly recommend her if you want to look stunning for a night on the town and or a wedding or party! I drove an hour away and would do it again for another makeover anytime. I hope this helps anyone that wants a fresh look or to look glamourous for the night.

This past Saturday I got my makeup done by Josie and I loved it! First Josie asked me if there was any specific look I was going for or, colors I wanted to try. When I gave her creative liberty she defined my eyes and brought them out in a way no one had done for me before, I looked great but I didn't look heavily "made up". The colors she chose complemented my natural skin tone beautifully! On it's own my skin has a few imperfections but, Josie made sure my skin looked flawless and again the makeup she applied didn't look or feel heavy. My mind is made up, I will be back the next time I want to feel beautiful.

I was very impressed with the quality of service at Ugo's. I've had many facials in the past and for years I only went to one Esthetician. I really thought she was the best. My husband overlooked this detail when he purchased a spa package gift certificate for me for Valentine's Day. He was so proud of himself for thinking of this gift that I didn't have the heart to tell him how terrified I was of seeing anyone else for my skincare. I thought of applying the facial credit towards another service but for some reason when I met Maria, something told me to give her a try and I'm sooooo glad I did. From the minute I sat in her chair I felt at ease and received the utmost attention to detail. It was a facial like no other! I felt so relaxed I think I even fell asleep for a little while. I felt so good about my treatment that I had her do my eyebrows too and they've never looked better! Overall it was truly an incredible experience and her good energy was a bonus :) The staff was very friendly and accomodating as well.

It is a great salon if you really want to look great, who doesn't. I've known Phen for the past 15 years, and she is the best hairdresser, or I should call her best hair artist I've ever known. She takes her time and works on your hair like an artist works on his/her canvas. She uses her shears as if she is holding a brush and creates a wonderful due which brings out your futures the best way you can not imagine. Thanks always... The salon always keeps it up with the changing times, everybody is very friendly and so many services offered for a full makeover in one stop. It is always exciting to go there with the thought of getting out looking great.

Maria, the Esthetician at Ugo Di Roma is amazing! I was reffered to her by a long-time friend and I have never enjoyed a facial so much! Not only did she have amazing hands and pampered me with every detail, I left there with beautifully glowing skin instead of looking like I just got a facial. She shaped my eyebrows perfectly for my face and they look incredible! I have received 3 seperate compliments since Saturday on how great my eyebrows look. She's the best and I understand she has been in skin care for many years. I've already recommended Maria to all of my girlfriends. I'm really looking forward to my next treatment!

I received an unbelievable massage from Carlos de Armas at the Ugo di Roma spa. I am a deep tissue massage lover and he is one of the best ever. Massage is an art form to him and he is truly a master. Strong hands and his incorporation of stretching techniques make him one of a kind.

Of all of the salons that I have been to in Miami, Ugo Di Roma is by far the best! I got my highlights done with Andi and I loved it. They were very natural and very blended, just what I asked for. I also got a haircut which also turned out beautifully. My hair was very heavy when I came in and she gave me shape and blended the layers to take out weight. I have been getting so many compliments that I wanted to write a review. I will be back again and again.

Ugo di Roma is by far one of the best salons I've ever gone to, and one of the best kept secrets in Miami. The staff is extremely welcoming and professional. Flavi does my hair, and now that I'm away for a couple of years, I still fly in from Connecticut just to have her do them. Her cuts are exceptional and the highlights are absolutely beautiful. The mani/pedicure women also consistently do a fabulous job, and the pedicure massage chairs are so relaxing. The prices are above average, but not outrageous and definitely worth every penny. Go once and you will be hooked!

I'm not one to write reviews but this one is a very well deserved one. I live in Los Angeles and Early this year, I was in Miami for the weekend and decided to got to Ugo Di Roma Salon for a hair trim. I had been looking to do itt in LA and I had already tried a few salons but I was not happy with the results. Flavie was recommended to me at the front desk. at Ugo Di Roma. She was very friendly and extremely professional. We talked about what I was looking for and because it was my first time visiting the salon I had told her I only wanted a trim, to clean out the ends and she did exactly that. Nothing more nothing less. I was very happy. I went back three months later and I asked for a hair cut. Again we talked about what I was looking for and I let her do the work. I LOVED IT! It was PERFECt!. Exactly what I wanted. So, I week ago, I went again for the third time and because she knows me, I just let her be the judge of how much she needs to cut. I have no worries when she's working on my hair. I feel 100% confident that I will be very happy with the final result. Now, I will continue to fly every two to three months from LA to Miami just to get my haircut with Flavie. It is worth it. She's the BEST!!! You will not regret putting your hair in her hands.

I recentley visited this salon while vacationing in Miami, I read all of the reviews on this website and decided on booking an appointment with Flavie. She seemed to be an amazing stylist according to her excellent reviews. After looking foward to my appointment all week I was completley devested when I left and it was not at all the experience I had hoped for. The staff I must say for the most part were nice, but I asked for a razored cut with golden blonde heavy highlights, and when she finished my hair looked like a bad bob cut that had not been styled at all, it looked like I had just woke up out of bed, and my highlights were not blonde at all, just a little lighter than my hair color which is very dark brown plus I only had a few. I was looking foward to this awsome haircut and instead it looked like I had went in for a trim. I walked out of the salon crying because of the amount of money I had paid for a basic haircut and few highlights that did not look at all like I wanted. After going back to my hotel I called back to the salon and they offered for me to come back and let them fix it. When I arrived back Flavie offered to redo my hair or if I rather someone else, I didn't mind which one did it. I just wanted what I had asked for, so she razored my hair and put more highlights in it. In the end I will say that the haircut was somewhat close to the picture but my highlights were still darker than I wanted. I spent from 10:30 to 5:00 in the salon and recieved a free bottle of wax out of courtsey for what I believe could have been prevented if I was listened to from the beginning and in the end was not very satisfied. Also while waiting hearing other customers checking out I heard at least a few complaining because they could not get anyone to dry their hair which is insane to me when customers are paying the amount of money for service. The experience in all was not what I was hoping for!! I will not go back

This place is top notch. Lionel gave me the best haircut of my LIFE. A-m-a-z-i-n-g! I have frequented high end salons, and wow, can this guy cut hair. I got my hair colored too, and Flavie (my colorist) was equally impressive. She was incredibly purposed and skillful in her work...really amazing and absolutely love the color! You will be happy with your hair if you go here.

damn i've been to so many hair salons and they never do what i ask, but once i stepped in ugo and saw my hair stylist Irina, i knew i can trust her, there's great service and you get complimented so well, i love how she cut and dyed my hair she's really nice and funny super complimentive too! its my first time there and the best first time :) GREAT SERVICE! ask for irina and make sure to give her some good tip cause she deserves it! :) i was afraid how the result would come in the end but it came better then i expected! she's very creative and knows good hair GO TO UGO DI ROMA & IT'S WORTH WASTING ALL YOUR MONEY IN YOUR POCKET FOR A GREAT CUT !...ask for irina lol

I had been going to the same salon and stylist (elsewhere) for over 7 years. I felt as though I was cheating on my stylist...but decided to try something/someplace new. After reading the Ugo di Roma reviews here on CitySearch, I decided to give a new place a try. I thought I would play it safe and just have my color done there ...too afraid to let someone new make a cut!

Sylvain was incredible. After the way he worked my color, I "let" him cut..... he used both wet and dry cutting techniques, some of which I had not experienced before. Hot results! I'll be back! :)

You won't find a more competent, friendly, professional person to do your hair anywhere - and I used to work at Pierre Michelle in NYC. No prima donna here! Gay is always positive and a great person to converse with. She tolerates my lateness - when she can - and never has "attitude". I have never been dissapointed in either my cut, color or highlights - all very natural and easy to work with once you get home - very important to me! I get more compliments on my hair now more than ever before.

I moved to the area a short time ago and was badly in need of a haircut. No one seemed to have a glowing recommendation so I did a little homework and came across Flavie at Ugo Di Roma Salon who has received glowing reviews. I spent over a hour in the car traveling for this haircut so by the time I arrived, I had high expectations of how great this haircut should be. Believe me when I say, it was just that. Flavie asked me a lot of questions about how I wear my hair and what products I use and when it was time to cut, she incorporated elements that were important for me to maintain. Thus, the perfect hair cut. A haircut that was so good in fact, my husband scheduled an appointment with her. I am sure his will be just as fabulous.

Irina is the best hair and color stylist. She was able to look at my features and give me advice on the right cut and color for me. She works with me on the right products that will help me create the style I want at home.
I have wavy hair so it's been difficult for me to find a stylist that can work with my hair and have it cut and styled the way i like. She's amazing you won't be disappointed.
She also cuts my children's hair too.. great with kids

After a long time searching, I finally found someone that is creative and meticulous. Sylvain combined both dry and wet cut to give me the BEST haircut I have had in years. I did not ask for a specific cut, only to keep enough length to be able to tie my hair back, and somehow he came up with the perfect hair style for me. I look hip yet still professional for work. It has only been a day since I have gotten my new cut but already the compliments are pouring. His many years of experience working in Paris? top salons definitely shine through in his work. If you want the best highlights ever, go to Irina. Aside from that, she will give you the best haircut ever. Your hair will fall right into place. With the high quality products they use, you will see the difference in your hair right away. Just make sure you take a lot of money, because they will leave a hole in your pocket.

I went to cut my hair yesterday after a long time searching for someone. I was lucky enough to go to Flavie. She combined both dry and wet cut and was very meticulous about making sure the cut was perfect. I explained the processes my hair had already undergone (Jap straightening and hair dyeing) and explained as best I could the cut I wanted. She was very attentive to details. I hadn't cut my hair in 2 years and I was ready- i say ready, but not really- to cut at least 10" for locks of love (if you can do it, please do). It was a little scary, but Jimmy was there to calm me and let me know "new year, new you", and he was right. 14" later I had long layers and a whole lot less weight on my head. My best friend, also my worst ctiric, says she's never seen my hair healthier or nicer. I've known her 13 years, so that's a biggie. Go see Jimmy. While visiting Miami last year, I had an appointment scheduled for me for a crucially needed haircut with Jimmy. He gave me a killer haircut. It was so good that 10 months later, my naturally frizzy/curly hair STILL has shape! I have been going to Irina for over 6 years. I first went to Irina because my naturally curly hair was very hard to manage and had been mistreated by other hair care professionals. Irina is very knowledgeable about hair types, products and processes. After helping me repair my hair, she introduced me to the Chi Straightening System and I fell in love with my hair again. I don't trust anyone to cut, color or even dry my hair except Irina. I have recommended her to friends and they all have had positive experiences. I have to admit that I am somewhat of a hair snob. I moved to Florida two years ago from Chicago and flew back to Chicago every 6 weeks to get my hair done because I could not find anyone in Florida (east coast and west coast as I travel all over Florida for my work) to do my hair. I'm a blonde, with a slight curl and thin hair. The trip costs were getting ridiculous, so after the first year I tried several salons. I've been struggling with bad hair days for one year now. Girls... you can imagine what that does to your day. Noone could get my color or cut the way I asked or when I put it in their hands for advice... omg. Not good. I heard of Flavie through this site and decided to take one more try before scheduling my stylist in Chicago over the holiday. Flavie cut and colored my hair yesterday and I have never had as many compliments as I have in one day on my "look". The cut is wonderful and the color is soft and natural (for a blonde... that's what we hope to have). I have to say that even if I moved back to Chicago at any point... I would probably book flights back to Flavie to get my hair done every 6 weeks! She's wonderful. The parking was plentiful, the salon had a peaceful atmosphere and the people were nice and sincere.

Irina screwed up my hair. I was extremely unhappy about it. I returned and she refused to do anything about it. She actually told me off. We spoke to the owner and he fixed me up good. Too bad for her I'll be returning, hopefully she gets fired. She is intellectually challenged and thinks she's doing people favors.

I finally have the perfect hair I?ve always dreamed of thanks to Irina at Ugo Di Roma salon! I?m so pleased with my experience there. The staff was extremely polite and professional. Irina was able to assess my facial features and skin tone superbly giving me an absolutely ravishing cut and color. She was very personable and made sure I felt comfortable. IRINA IS AMAZING!!! Before I came to Irina about 3 years ago now, my hair was unhealthy and damaged from other stylists. From the first day I met Irina, she promised me that she would work with me and get my hair healthy. When I left that first day, I felt very confident that Irina could fix me. Work with Irina and she will come up with a gameplan to get your hair in great shape!! I can say today that she has successfully made my hair better than ever before!! She really knows her stuff!! She always gives me great tips on the latest hair products and techniques. I always joke that the hairdressers up north where I am from need to spend a week with my stylist Irina in miami because she is always way ahead of the game!!! My first day in miami, and I'm about to head into my first out of college foot in the door. My hair is a awful, I remember seeing this place on my one and only previous visit. And, thought I would get a miami hair cut. The cut was so much more. As a walk in they were very halpful , and I was given over to Flavie, who is fresh from france and her english is improving daily. But, her hair cuts transcend langauge. As a male she was very aware of my need to have a professional, yet stylish, and masculine hair cut. She pulled it off effortlessly. I had long hair forever, for 20 years. My hair is very frizzy and wavy. The only options you will have for cutting your long hair is either layered or straight, right? Talk about BORING. Well NO not with Flavie !

I found this on citysearch and read the reviews and decided to try. I went and asked for a drastic change.. a SHORT haircut.

I showed flavie a couple of pictures and told her about my hair texture and what she think is right for it. After washing my hair, she skillfully cut it. and then blowdried it, well I thought she was done. As all my previous experiences are either wet cutting or dry cutting. Well she combines both which is amazing. After cutting it wet, she blew dried my hair, which took forever because I have too much hair, she did a great job, let me tell you, my hair is very very frizzy and she managed to make it look beautiful. After that she finished the dry look with cutting strands here and there.

My hair cut took an HOUR and a HALF, it really is worth the price. And flavie is amazing, and sweet too ! This cut was to surprise my boyfriend, and he LOVES it very very much ! I don't think I'll cut anywhere else anymore !

Flavie is the first hairstylist that listened to what i wanted. i have dark hair and want to go lighter and she managed to create gorgeous highlights that are anything but brassy (other highlights of mine tended to become a bit reddish). I got compliments literally as I walked to the car. She meticulously chose where each highlight should be, thus placing beautiful highlights around my face where the sun would naturally lighten my hair. I am so happy with my experience with Flavie, she is super nice and a wonderful hair stylist! Merci Flavie!

My first visit to Ugo di Roma was wonderful! The entire staff was professional and very helpful, but best of all I was so pleased with the Colorest Flavie. I left the Salon like a new person the color of my hair was an absolute mess. I had alot of brassiness and no depth to my hair. She corrected the color gave me awesome highlights and a great cut. Ugo Di Roma is the ONLY place in Miami I will go to get my hair done. I've been a customer of the salon for four years and have had amazing hair since my first visit. The stylists are always current on the latest, safest, and best hair treatments and techniques. The hairdressers at Ugo listen to their customers, giving them exactly what they are looking for while simultaneoulsy letting you know what will make you look your best. The staff are all perfectionists who diligently strive to give you a customized/personalized experience that ensures you look amazing. I recommended the salon to my roomate who used to drive five hours to Tampa to get her hair done because she was unable to find a hairdresser in Miami who did a good job. After suggesting she see Flavie, my roomate hasn't gone anywhere but Ugo. She even said her hair's never looked better since seeing Flavie. I also see Flavie. She is the best colorist in the game. Whenever I have an appointment with her I tell her to do what she wants because she always makes my hair look top notch. Since becoming a customer of Flavie's the complements have been endless. Phen is the only one I will trust with my hair. When I moved to Florida from Manhattan I never thought I would find a salon better than the Pierre Michel Salon or Henri Bendel in New York. Was I wrong!!! Phen at the Ugo de Roma salon far exceeds the salons of New York and Dallas, Texas. In fact, when I lived in Dallas, I used to fly to Miami as often as I could so that Phen could do her magic. I now live about an hour north of Miami and the drive is well worth the results. Phen's precision hair cuts and highlights are tailored for each individual client. I'm constantly being stopped by people asking me "who does your hair?".

I am a devoted fan of Gay at Ugo di Roma Salon. For over five years, Gay has been transforming my rather thin, fine, mousy blond hair into something gorgously thick and unrecognizable. I have lived in Miami for over twenty years and have tried so many hairstylists, I have lost count. Several years ago, by chance, I had Gay cut and color my hair. I then followed her to Ugo di Roma from her prvious place of employment and she has been cutting my hair ever since. I am a professional woman, practicing law, and I need a cut that is not fussy, requires little work (for me) and always looks great. Gay provides the perfect haircut with professionalism and courtesy while being "down to earth" and fun to talk to. I highly recommend Gay.

I've been going to Gay at Ugo di Roma for about 7 years. Gay gives a great haircut! It's always very flattering for my hair type and face shape. Over the years I've worn my hair both long and short and Gay always makes it look incredible. I'm in sales so appearance is important. People are always asking me where I get my hair done and complimenting the cut and color. Gay gave me a really great "natural" sun-kissed blonde look. I went to Ugo Di Roma for the first time last week. The reason I picked this particular salon is because city search reviews about Flavie (one of the stylists) were exceptional. I was impressed with the results- Flavie gave my long hair a modern layered razor haircut, while my hair was still dry. She explained that it would enable her to place highlites in all the right places. She then handpainted every single strand carefully, paying great attention as to how my hair naturally parted, framed my face, ect. I never felt rushed and enjoyed Flavie's quiet confidense and artistic approach. After shampooing Flavie touched up my haircut again and finally, after blowdry my haircut was tripple checked!
The result- I got exactly what I wanted! Flavie maintained overall length of my hair, but shaped it in a modern flattering way and gave me natural looking highlites.
Flavie came to Miami from Paris only 7 months ago and is already earning an amazing reputation. She is creative and works hard. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to look and feel modern.

I love Phen, she is the best with highlights and haircut. My hair is diffucult to manage and with the humidity even worse. Before coming to see her my hair was in very poor condition. I tried different hair salons without success. One of my patients recommended her and she even travels 1 hour to see her. The color of the highlights is beautiful and very natural. The haircut is superb and I can manage on my own. She recommended the right products for my hair and to keep my hair in a great condition. The salon is nice and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend Phen and Ugo Di Roma.
