I tested the facial treatments with Milay and was pleasantly surprised.
My teenage daughter has also started to use Milay to treat her acne and she is very happy with the results.
I highly recommend the facials. Very professional and excellent results.

I have never been pleased by any hair service I have ever received. I used to just pay and not come back. Teresa did a wonderful job!!! She was attentive, professional, friendly, and talented. I know it's a bit pricey, but I have learned that it is best to go with quality. I have been to too many salons where the people were unprofessional, ruined my hair, and I spent more money trying to fix the problem which only damaged my hair further. Thank you Teresa!!!

The best hair salon I have found in Miami.
It has taken me years to find a good hair stylist in Miami, I finally found her.... Teresa! Not only is she meticulous, she takes her time, and she has a great sense of style. She also actually LISTENS to what you tell her.

Mrs. Phen is the only person my husband will let cut his hair (and he is very picky). I often go with him and she is absolutely delightful. She takes her time and does an excellent job. We both recommend her 100%.

I had been looking for a great hair salon for a while now. I have finally found it! I have to say that Lionel at Ugo di roma has been the only person capable of cutting my hair just the way I like it! He was extremely nice and talented, and i will definetely go back!

I went because I saw the reviews on this website but I have to say it was too expensive for the services I got. I have had a much better haircut and blowdry at other high-end salons that were way less expensive. I don't really recommend this salon because I am all about spending money, but only when it's worth it... the haircut and blowout I got were not worth it at all!

I had been roaming the hair salons of Miami to find a "decent" hair salon and -thanks to CitySearch- I found the jackpot Flavi at Ugo Di Roma! I would not go anywhere else. Every other salon that I went to I would ask for the same thing a dark rich chocolate color with very sutble honey highlights and the more I explained the worse and brassier it got. Then found Ugo Di Roma's very own fabulous FLAVI and I will never go anywhere else again! my hair has a rich warm look that I had been looking for. THANK YOU THANK YOU FLAVI!!!!

My FABULOUS hair guru, Flavi Serrano, just finished doing her extensions and fantastic highlights on me this past saturday. They are amazing, I can't stop touching my hair! I feel like a new woman. The extensiions were easy, painless and it only took 2 hours to put on. It's easy to care for and brush everyday and the color is perfect!
It's a DIVALICIOUS experience!
The experience at Ugo is just fantastic, I am treated like a beauty queen everytime I'm there!!!
LOVE THEM ALL!!!

I just went to Ugo Di Roma for highlights for my hair and got my make up done with Josie the make up artist. Josie was unbelievable! She was a true professional with such artistic skills. She knows how to enhance your looks and has a great demeanor. I would highly recommend her if you want to look stunning for a night on the town and or a wedding or party! I drove an hour away and would do it again for another makeover anytime. I hope this helps anyone that wants a fresh look or to look glamourous for the night.

This past Saturday I got my makeup done by Josie and I loved it! First Josie asked me if there was any specific look I was going for or, colors I wanted to try. When I gave her creative liberty she defined my eyes and brought them out in a way no one had done for me before, I looked great but I didn't look heavily "made up". The colors she chose complemented my natural skin tone beautifully! On it's own my skin has a few imperfections but, Josie made sure my skin looked flawless and again the makeup she applied didn't look or feel heavy. My mind is made up, I will be back the next time I want to feel beautiful.

I was very impressed with the quality of service at Ugo's. I've had many facials in the past and for years I only went to one Esthetician. I really thought she was the best. My husband overlooked this detail when he purchased a spa package gift certificate for me for Valentine's Day. He was so proud of himself for thinking of this gift that I didn't have the heart to tell him how terrified I was of seeing anyone else for my skincare. I thought of applying the facial credit towards another service but for some reason when I met Maria, something told me to give her a try and I'm sooooo glad I did. From the minute I sat in her chair I felt at ease and received the utmost attention to detail. It was a facial like no other! I felt so relaxed I think I even fell asleep for a little while. I felt so good about my treatment that I had her do my eyebrows too and they've never looked better! Overall it was truly an incredible experience and her good energy was a bonus :) The staff was very friendly and accomodating as well.

It is a great salon if you really want to look great, who doesn't. I've known Phen for the past 15 years, and she is the best hairdresser, or I should call her best hair artist I've ever known. She takes her time and works on your hair like an artist works on his/her canvas. She uses her shears as if she is holding a brush and creates a wonderful due which brings out your futures the best way you can not imagine. Thanks always... The salon always keeps it up with the changing times, everybody is very friendly and so many services offered for a full makeover in one stop. It is always exciting to go there with the thought of getting out looking great.

Maria, the Esthetician at Ugo Di Roma is amazing! I was reffered to her by a long-time friend and I have never enjoyed a facial so much! Not only did she have amazing hands and pampered me with every detail, I left there with beautifully glowing skin instead of looking like I just got a facial. She shaped my eyebrows perfectly for my face and they look incredible! I have received 3 seperate compliments since Saturday on how great my eyebrows look. She's the best and I understand she has been in skin care for many years. I've already recommended Maria to all of my girlfriends. I'm really looking forward to my next treatment!

I received an unbelievable massage from Carlos de Armas at the Ugo di Roma spa. I am a deep tissue massage lover and he is one of the best ever. Massage is an art form to him and he is truly a master. Strong hands and his incorporation of stretching techniques make him one of a kind.
One of the very best in Miami by far....

Of all of the salons that I have been to in Miami, Ugo Di Roma is by far the best! I got my highlights done with Andi and I loved it. They were very natural and very blended, just what I asked for. I also got a haircut which also turned out beautifully. My hair was very heavy when I came in and she gave me shape and blended the layers to take out weight. I have been getting so many compliments that I wanted to write a review. I will be back again and again.

Ugo di Roma is by far one of the best salons I've ever gone to, and one of the best kept secrets in Miami. The staff is extremely welcoming and professional. Flavi does my hair, and now that I'm away for a couple of years, I still fly in from Connecticut just to have her do them. Her cuts are exceptional and the highlights are absolutely beautiful. The mani/pedicure women also consistently do a fabulous job, and the pedicure massage chairs are so relaxing. The prices are above average, but not outrageous and definitely worth every penny. Go once and you will be hooked!

I'm not one to write reviews but this one is a very well deserved one. I live in Los Angeles and Early this year, I was in Miami for the weekend and decided to got to Ugo Di Roma Salon for a hair trim. I had been looking to do itt in LA and I had already tried a few salons but I was not happy with the results. Flavie was recommended to me at the front desk. at Ugo Di Roma. She was very friendly and extremely professional. We talked about what I was looking for and because it was my first time visiting the salon I had told her I only wanted a trim, to clean out the ends and she did exactly that. Nothing more nothing less. I was very happy. I went back three months later and I asked for a hair cut. Again we talked about what I was looking for and I let her do the work. I LOVED IT! It was PERFECt!. Exactly what I wanted. So, I week ago, I went again for the third time and because she knows me, I just let her be the judge of how much she needs to cut. I have no worries when she's working on my hair. I feel 100% confident that I will be very happy with the final result. Now, I will continue to fly every two to three months from LA to Miami just to get my haircut with Flavie. It is worth it. She's the BEST!!! You will not regret putting your hair in her hands.

I recentley visited this salon while vacationing in Miami, I read all of the reviews on this website and decided on booking an appointment with Flavie. She seemed to be an amazing stylist according to her excellent reviews. After looking foward to my appointment all week I was completley devested when I left and it was not at all the experience I had hoped for. The staff I must say for the most part were nice, but I asked for a razored cut with golden blonde heavy highlights, and when she finished my hair looked like a bad bob cut that had not been styled at all, it looked like I had just woke up out of bed, and my highlights were not blonde at all, just a little lighter than my hair color which is very dark brown plus I only had a few. I was looking foward to this awsome haircut and instead it looked like I had went in for a trim. I walked out of the salon crying because of the amount of money I had paid for a basic haircut and few highlights that did not look at all like I wanted. After going back to my hotel I called back to the salon and they offered for me to come back and let them fix it. When I arrived back Flavie offered to redo my hair or if I rather someone else, I didn't mind which one did it. I just wanted what I had asked for, so she razored my hair and put more highlights in it. In the end I will say that the haircut was somewhat close to the picture but my highlights were still darker than I wanted. I spent from 10:30 to 5:00 in the salon and recieved a free bottle of wax out of courtsey for what I believe could have been prevented if I was listened to from the beginning and in the end was not very satisfied. Also while waiting hearing other customers checking out I heard at least a few complaining because they could not get anyone to dry their hair which is insane to me when customers are paying the amount of money for service. The experience in all was not what I was hoping for!! I will not go back

This place is top notch. Lionel gave me the best haircut of my LIFE. A-m-a-z-i-n-g! I have frequented high end salons, and wow, can this guy cut hair. I got my hair colored too, and Flavie (my colorist) was equally impressive. She was incredibly purposed and skillful in her work...really amazing and absolutely love the color! You will be happy with your hair if you go here.

damn i've been to so many hair salons and they never do what i ask, but once i stepped in ugo and saw my hair stylist Irina, i knew i can trust her, there's great service and you get complimented so well, i love how she cut and dyed my hair she's really nice and funny super complimentive too! its my first time there and the best first time :) GREAT SERVICE! ask for irina and make sure to give her some good tip cause she deserves it! :) i was afraid how the result would come in the end but it came better then i expected! she's very creative and knows good hair GO TO UGO DI ROMA & IT'S WORTH WASTING ALL YOUR MONEY IN YOUR POCKET FOR A GREAT CUT !...ask for irina lol

I had been going to the same salon and stylist (elsewhere) for over 7 years. I felt as though I was cheating on my stylist...but decided to try something/someplace new. After reading the Ugo di Roma reviews here on CitySearch, I decided to give a new place a try. I thought I would play it safe and just have my color done there ...too afraid to let someone new make a cut!

Sylvain was incredible. After the way he worked my color, I "let" him cut..... he used both wet and dry cutting techniques, some of which I had not experienced before. Hot results! I'll be back! :)

You won't find a more competent, friendly, professional person to do your hair anywhere - and I used to work at Pierre Michelle in NYC. No prima donna here! Gay is always positive and a great person to converse with. She tolerates my lateness - when she can - and never has "attitude". I have never been dissapointed in either my cut, color or highlights - all very natural and easy to work with once you get home - very important to me! I get more compliments on my hair now more than ever before.

I moved to the area a short time ago and was badly in need of a haircut. No one seemed to have a glowing recommendation so I did a little homework and came across Flavie at Ugo Di Roma Salon who has received glowing reviews. I spent over a hour in the car traveling for this haircut so by the time I arrived, I had high expectations of how great this haircut should be. Believe me when I say, it was just that. Flavie asked me a lot of questions about how I wear my hair and what products I use and when it was time to cut, she incorporated elements that were important for me to maintain. Thus, the perfect hair cut. A haircut that was so good in fact, my husband scheduled an appointment with her. I am sure his will be just as fabulous.

Irina is the best hair and color stylist. She was able to look at my features and give me advice on the right cut and color for me. She works with me on the right products that will help me create the style I want at home.
I have wavy hair so it's been difficult for me to find a stylist that can work with my hair and have it cut and styled the way i like. She's amazing you won't be disappointed.
She also cuts my children's hair too.. great with kids

After a long time searching, I finally found someone that is creative and meticulous. Sylvain combined both dry and wet cut to give me the BEST haircut I have had in years. I did not ask for a specific cut, only to keep enough length to be able to tie my hair back, and somehow he came up with the perfect hair style for me. I look hip yet still professional for work. It has only been a day since I have gotten my new cut but already the compliments are pouring. His many years of experience working in Paris? top salons definitely shine through in his work. If you want the best highlights ever, go to Irina. Aside from that, she will give you the best haircut ever. Your hair will fall right into place. With the high quality products they use, you will see the difference in your hair right away. Just make sure you take a lot of money, because they will leave a hole in your pocket.

I went to cut my hair yesterday after a long time searching for someone. I was lucky enough to go to Flavie. She combined both dry and wet cut and was very meticulous about making sure the cut was perfect. I explained the processes my hair had already undergone (Jap straightening and hair dyeing) and explained as best I could the cut I wanted. She was very attentive to details. I have to say I am very pleased with the outcome. Everyone that has seen my new cut loves it, the compliments are endless! Thank you Flavie!

I hadn't cut my hair in 2 years and I was ready- i say ready, but not really- to cut at least 10" for locks of love (if you can do it, please do). It was a little scary, but Jimmy was there to calm me and let me know "new year, new you", and he was right. 14" later I had long layers and a whole lot less weight on my head. My best friend, also my worst ctiric, says she's never seen my hair healthier or nicer. I've known her 13 years, so that's a biggie. Go see Jimmy. He'll listen to you, give you his feedback, and you can meet somewhere happily in the middle. Thank you for the new me :)

While visiting Miami last year, I had an appointment scheduled for me for a crucially needed haircut with Jimmy. He gave me a killer haircut. It was so good that 10 months later, my naturally frizzy/curly hair STILL has shape! I live in North Carolina and will be visiting the Miami area in a few weeks, and I've booked my appointment with Jimmy. Not only does the man work miracles with curly hair, he's a great guy too. I loved chatting with him while I was getting my haircut. So, for a great haircut, see Jimmy.

I have been going to Irina for over 6 years. I first went to Irina because my naturally curly hair was very hard to manage and had been mistreated by other hair care professionals. Irina is very knowledgeable about hair types, products and processes. After helping me repair my hair, she introduced me to the Chi Straightening System and I fell in love with my hair again. I don't trust anyone to cut, color or even dry my hair except Irina. I have recommended her to friends and they all have had positive experiences. Irina is the best stylist I've ever had and I refuse to go anywhere else!

I have to admit that I am somewhat of a hair snob. I moved to Florida two years ago from Chicago and flew back to Chicago every 6 weeks to get my hair done because I could not find anyone in Florida (east coast and west coast as I travel all over Florida for my work) to do my hair. I'm a blonde, with a slight curl and thin hair. The trip costs were getting ridiculous, so after the first year I tried several salons. I've been struggling with bad hair days for one year now. Girls... you can imagine what that does to your day. Noone could get my color or cut the way I asked or when I put it in their hands for advice... omg. Not good. I heard of Flavie through this site and decided to take one more try before scheduling my stylist in Chicago over the holiday. Flavie cut and colored my hair yesterday and I have never had as many compliments as I have in one day on my "look". The cut is wonderful and the color is soft and natural (for a blonde... that's what we hope to have). I have to say that even if I moved back to Chicago at any point... I would probably book flights back to Flavie to get my hair done every 6 weeks! She's wonderful. The parking was plentiful, the salon had a peaceful atmosphere and the people were nice and sincere.

Irina screwed up my hair. I was extremely unhappy about it. I returned and she refused to do anything about it. She actually told me off. We spoke to the owner and he fixed me up good. Too bad for her I'll be returning, hopefully she gets fired. She is intellectually challenged and thinks she's doing people favors.

IRINA IS AMAZING!!! Before I came to Irina about 3 years ago now, my hair was unhealthy and damaged from other stylists. From the first day I met Irina, she promised me that she would work with me and get my hair healthy. When I left that first day, I felt very confident that Irina could fix me. Work with Irina and she will come up with a gameplan to get your hair in great shape!! I can say today that she has successfully made my hair better than ever before!! She really knows her stuff!! She always gives me great tips on the latest hair products and techniques. I always joke that the hairdressers up north where I am from need to spend a week with my stylist Irina in miami because she is always way ahead of the game!!! The other day Irina made my hair platinum! The color and shine is unbelievable!! I love it!! Irina always keeps me very happy. My first day in miami, and I'm about to head into my first out of college foot in the door. My hair is a awful, I remember seeing this place on my one and only previous visit. And, thought I would get a miami hair cut. The cut was so much more. As a walk in they were very halpful , and I was given over to Flavie, who is fresh from france and her english is improving daily. But, her hair cuts transcend langauge. As a male she was very aware of my need to have a professional, yet stylish, and masculine hair cut. She pulled it off effortlessly. I had long hair forever, for 20 years. My hair is very frizzy and wavy. The only options you will have for cutting your long hair is either layered or straight, right? Talk about BORING. Well NO not with Flavie !

I found this on citysearch and read the reviews and decided to try. I went and asked for a drastic change.. a SHORT haircut.

I showed flavie a couple of pictures and told her about my hair texture and what she think is right for it. After washing my hair, she skillfully cut it. and then blowdried it, well I thought she was done. As all my previous experiences are either wet cutting or dry cutting. Well she combines both which is amazing. After cutting it wet, she blew dried my hair, which took forever because I have too much hair, she did a great job, let me tell you, my hair is very very frizzy and she managed to make it look beautiful. After that she finished the dry look with cutting strands here and there.

My hair cut took an HOUR and a HALF, it really is worth the price. And flavie is amazing, and sweet too ! This cut was to surprise my boyfriend, and he LOVES it very very much ! I don't think I'll cut anywhere else anymore !

Flavie is the first hairstylist that listened to what i wanted. i have dark hair and want to go lighter and she managed to create gorgeous highlights that are anything but brassy (other highlights of mine tended to become a bit reddish). I got compliments literally as I walked to the car. She meticulously chose where each highlight should be, thus placing beautiful highlights around my face where the sun would naturally lighten my hair. My first visit to Ugo di Roma was wonderful! The entire staff was professional and very helpful, but best of all I was so pleased with the Colorest Flavie. I left the Salon like a new person the color of my hair was an absolute mess. I had alot of brassiness and no depth to my hair. She corrected the color gave me awesome highlights and a great cut. Thank You Flavie my hair looks GREAT!

Ugo Di Roma is the ONLY place in Miami I will go to get my hair done. I've been a customer of the salon for four years and have had amazing hair since my first visit. The stylists are always current on the latest, safest, and best hair treatments and techniques. The hairdressers at Ugo listen to their customers, giving them exactly what they are looking for while simultaneoulsy letting you know what will make you look your best. The staff are all perfectionists who diligently strive to give you a customized/personalized experience that ensures you look amazing. I recommended the salon to my roomate who used to drive five hours to Tampa to get her hair done because she was unable to find a hairdresser in Miami who did a good job. After suggesting she see Flavie, my roomate hasn't gone anywhere but Ugo. She even said her hair's never looked better since seeing Flavie. I also see Flavie. She is the best colorist in the game. Whenever I have an appointment with her I tell her to do what she wants because she always makes my hair look top notch. Since becoming a customer of Flavie's the complements have been endless. If you're looking for quality, Ugo is your place!

Phen is the only one I will trust with my hair. When I moved to Florida from Manhattan I never thought I would find a salon better than the Pierre Michel Salon or Henri Bendel in New York. Was I wrong!!! Phen at the Ugo de Roma salon far exceeds the salons of New York and Dallas, Texas. In fact, when I lived in Dallas, I used to fly to Miami as often as I could so that Phen could do her magic. I now live about an hour north of Miami and the drive is well worth the results. Phen's precision hair cuts and highlights are tailored for each individual client. I'm constantly being stopped by people asking me "who does your hair?".

I am a devoted fan of Gay at Ugo di Roma Salon. For over five years, Gay has been transforming my rather thin, fine, mousy blond hair into something gorgously thick and unrecognizable. I have lived in Miami for over twenty years and have tried so many hairstylists, I have lost count. Several years ago, by chance, I had Gay cut and color my hair. I then followed her to Ugo di Roma from her prvious place of employment and she has been cutting my hair ever since. I am a professional woman, practicing law, and I need a cut that is not fussy, requires little work (for me) and always looks great. Gay provides the perfect haircut with professionalism and courtesy while being "down to earth" and fun to talk to. I highly recommend Gay.

I've been going to Gay at Ugo di Roma for about 7 years. Gay gives a great haircut! It's always very flattering for my hair type and face shape. Over the years I've worn my hair both long and short and Gay always makes it look incredible. I'm in sales so appearance is important. People are always asking me where I get my hair done and complimenting the cut and color. Gay gave me a really great "natural" sun-kissed blonde look. I went to Ugo Di Roma for the first time last week. The reason I picked this particular salon is because city search reviews about Flavie (one of the stylists) were exceptional. I was impressed with the results- Flavie gave my long hair a modern layered razor haircut, while my hair was still dry. She explained that it would enable her to place highlites in all the right places. She then handpainted every single strand carefully, paying great attention as to how my hair naturally parted, framed my face, ect. I never felt rushed and enjoyed Flavie's quiet confidense and artistic approach. After shampooing Flavie touched up my haircut again and finally, after blowdry my haircut was tripple checked!
The result- I got exactly what I wanted! Flavie maintained overall length of my hair, but shaped it in a modern flattering way and gave me natural looking highlites.
Flavie came to Miami from Paris only 7 months ago and is already earning an amazing reputation. She is creative and works hard. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to look and feel modern.

I love Phen, she is the best with highlights and haircut. My hair is diffucult to manage and with the humidity even worse. Before coming to see her my hair was in very poor condition. I tried different hair salons without success. One of my patients recommended her and she even travels 1 hour to see her. The color of the highlights is beautiful and very natural. The haircut is superb and I can manage on my own. She recommended the right products for my hair and to keep my hair in a great condition. The salon is nice and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend Phen and Ugo Di Roma.

I went in a tired-looking, 60-year-old blond with fine, dry, unmanageable hair. (There's a challenge!) I sat in Flavie's chair, turned my back to the mirror and said, "Do what you want." An hour and a half later I turned around, looked in the mirror and saw a ravishing (ok,"ravishing's" a little strong, but the "tired" was gone) redhead looking back. Who would have thought that with a great cut and bold choice of color I'd lose not only 3 inches of hair but 10 years! Flavie's definately a professional with flair.

Plus, I must mention that Liliana's careful facial waxing and relaxing pedicure were wonderful!

And to top it all off?they were nice!

I have been going to Phen @ Ugo's for 14 years. She gets my color and cut right every time. I trust her. She is the best. When I moved to Palm Beach, I tried another so called top salon. It was the worst cut and color of my life. So, I now drive 75 miles and an hour and a half to get the best. I have been driving that distance for 8 years. Phen is the best with my baby fine hair. It is absolutely worth my drive and money. Let's face it, life without bad hair days is great! Thank you Phen.

I went to Ugo Di Roma this past Saturday and was extremely pleased with the results. I was lucky enough to get Jimmy to do my hair. I have extremely thick and curly hair and Jimmy gave me beautiful higlights, an amazing cut, and a blow-out. He was very gentle and the color was extremely natural and sunkist. This is the first time I have ever had highlights and would not hesitate to go back to Jimmy. He was warm, friendly, and great with my hair. The cut he gave me also complimented my hair when it was straight (after he blew it out) and when it was curly (after I washed it again). He even recommended some affordable products for me to try. Trust me, go to Jimmy -- you won't be disappointed.

I am a former beauty editor, having worked for titles in Los Angeles and Toronto . While in South Florida I happened upon Ugo Di Roma as I was looking for a salon that used L'oreal Majorel Color. When I called for an appointment, I was referred to Flavie (whom I later discovered had recently moved to Miami from Paris). It is rare to find a colorist who excels at a natural blonde look. It is unheard of to find a hair technician who excels at BOTH color and cut. Flavie is such an individual.
I have had my hair done in Paris, New York, Toronto, and Los Angeles, by the hair industry's cream of the crop, but I cannot rave enough about Flavie's skill. Her color was thoughtful, she matched my base color perfectly and her balliage highlighting technique gave me natural, minimal-damage highlights. She dried my hair straight so that she could complete the cut on my dry hair for a precise finish. The only other stylist to do this for me was the late John Sahag of New York. It serves to illustrate Flavie's level of professionalism.
I always believe the test of a decent hair cut is when one attempts to dry it on your own at home. I rarely dry my own hair, I usually have it blown out professionally, but with her cut this became an option rather than a "must"! Her consitency and excellence were demonstrated upon more than one visit for cut and color.
From industry professionals to the girl at Starbucks , it is borderline ridiculous how many individuals have complimented her work on my hair.
Now back home in Toronto, I am resolved to fly in to Miami every four weeks to have her touch up my color and trim my hair.
Flavie is a hair star...I was nervous to write this review in case she is snatched away by some Hollywood A-lister...but then again I'd make the trip to L.A. to have her work her magic on my tresses any day!

I began going to Ugo di Roma ten years ago upon the recommendation of anchor women I worked with at a Miami television station. They had perfect hair so I inquired where they got it done. I was told Ugo di Roma in Coconut Grove was the best. They far surpassed my expectations then and continue to do so. If you require any type of correction they know exactly what to do. They are the absolute best stylists, highlighters and colorists in Miami. No matter what condition your hair is in now, you walk out with beautiful, silky, smooth hair. When I moved back to New York City, I went to the so-called best but could never find someone as good as at Ugo di Roma. The first thing I did upon moving back to Miami is make an appointment at Ugo di Roma. Flavie placed gorgeous highlights in my brunette hair, and recently added silky extensions. I have received so many compliments on my hair. It looks radiant, healthy and natural. I highly recommend Ugo di Roma and Flavie who is also wonderful at blowouts. Anyone living in Florida looking for the absolute best in hair care should come here. It is even worth travelling from out of town. They are amazing and the absolute best of the best!!!

I went in for a consultation at first. The very next day I had an appointment. I had do to a correction on a poorly done highlight job (the sorry highlight job was not at this place at a different salon in Kendall). Flavie consulted me, took a look at my hair and said "yes I can fix it". I told her "I just want to be a blonde". She did an amazing job! I've already recommended three others to her who have asked me where I got my highlights done. She did a great job as well at matching the color of my eyebrows to my new fantastic hair. Most people would think that being born with thick curly hair is a dream come true. But for me it was a nightmare. I have spent a lifetime hoping that I would find someone to help tame my unruly, frizzy hair. Coming from NY I have tried many hairstylist from celebrity stylist to stylist fresh out of school but no one has come close to being as good as NINO! Not only does he have a fabulous personality but he has a certain smoothness that calms your nerves. Which came in handy in my case because the last hairstylist dyed my hair orange. So you can only imagine how nervous I was! I felt very speacial and the best part of it all is he knew exactly what hair style and color I needed. I walked in feeling dull and boring and walked out amorous and sutlry! It may have been the wine or both, but I know that NINO will remain my hairstylist "until death do us apart"! I absolutely love my hair and although the prices may break my bank a little I can't imagine going anywhere else! I don't wake up in the morning hating my curls but instead I embrace them. And now I know why people spend so much money to have curls like mine. NINO's magic fingers worked wonders on my hair. Thanks to him I appreciate my hair a whole lot more. I normally don't take time to write reviews but I had to let everyone know how fantastic NINO is, he has changed my life just with a haircut and some hair dye! NINO is the BEST!

It took me a long time to try Ugo di Roma because their prices are higher than what I used to pay. However, Lionel's expertise in cutting my hair is well worth the price.

I recently decided to change my haircolor (I have fine, dark blond hair and went to a rich, chocolate color with highlights). Dom did my color and highlights and I can't say enough good things about his skills as a colorist. We had a long discussion prior to the color and he really took the time necessary to understand exactly the result I wanted and deliver it. He did the most amazing job ever. Nobody would ever guess that my hair is even colored...it just looks naturally beautiful.

I highly recommend this salon for great cut, color, highlight, and customer service.

The experience began well. Good service; fun atmosphere. But, in the end, it is the product that counts, and Nino gave me the worst haircut I have had in years--and I have had some not-so-great cuts. He has a fun, flirtatous, confident attitude, but obviously not great insight into what would look good as a haircut, at least on me. To his benefit, maybe he's just a lot better cutting thick dark hair and not used to the natural, blond, fine, Caucasian hair that I have. Either way, I won't be back. The main thing that bothers me is that he didn't really listen to input from me about my own hair. He had all these "ideas." Who knows your hair and things that work better with it than you? I usually wouldn't even write a post here about it; but I was so unhappy with it (and the $$$), that I am having it re-cut and by my old hairdresser back home where my parents live out-of-state. I still doubt she'll be able to fix it. I'll just have to wait months for it to grow back.

I went to this salon for over a year. At first it was great. The last 3 cuts from Lionel have been one worse than the other. Jimmy stopped looking at my color when I came in for maintenance the last 2 times and just used the same color instead of checking it first. my hair is growing out orange. The facialist comes and tries to get business while your getting a manicure. The receptionist gets her services done while custormers are there and she has twice overcharged me and argued about it. I got my money back but that's not the point. Liliana is very good, with nails but i won;'t be back.

I have curly unruly hair and am very picky about who touches it. Then I found Jimmy. Besides being well-traveled and having the best stories to tell, Jimmy is the man when it comes to highlights and taming curly hair. He always gives hair a natural look and knows how to find just the right color for your skin tone. Plus, he's great at layer haircuts and getting the curl out for that special event.

My wife used to get her haircuts at the Jacques Desanges salon in NYC. They closed the location a few years ago and then she went to other salons such as Frederik Fekkai and Pierre Michel-the guys there did a good job but what she got at Ugo di Roma was really outstanding! The service is great and the coiffeurs(hairdressers for you non-French speaking people) are all exceptional! We will go back and make Miami a beauty destination! Highly recommended-ask for Lionel!

I've nver been to the salon before but i tried it. i went in and the atmosphere was really relaxing. My hairstylist was NINO and he did miracles with my hair he is a really professional hairstylist. i started talking with him and i made a really good impression. he's originally from ITALY and moved to NY, so for all NYers out there you shold check him out. Any way he asked me what i wanted to do with my hair he advised me in what it will look good on me and he started working it turned out to be not just a plain haircut and color but a pieceof art. the prices are very good for the work that he is doing and i was very satisfied in the end. I was thrilled that i had that experience never knowing that i was going to be like that. Now i go on a regular basis and the service that i get beats every salon in MIAMI. So if you go there and you want an exhilarating experience ask for NINO. HE's the BEST IN TOWN...

Get your highlights done by JIMMY!!! Very natural and GREAT color! Jimmy does a great job of finding the perfect highlight to compliment hair color, complexion and hair style. Lionel is fabulous !!!!!! You won't find a more talented hair stylist anywhere, who is also very kind and gentle. I have been making regular trips to Paris just for his fantastic ability to give me the best style for my hair. Now that he is in Miami, it will make my trips shorter. I have always gone away from one of his cuts feeling like a million dollars. Plus the spa uses Carita products and is one of very few places in the United States that offers such unique & wonderful face and body treatments with highly experienced staff. My husband and I have been clients at Ugo Di Roma's for more than twenty years. Marcia has been my stylist and colorist for the majority of that time, she has taken me through a range of styles, from a Sharon Stone short cut to shoulder length, from a redhead to blonde and now highlights. I am never bored or dissatisfied with her creativity. I am often stopped on the street, sometimes in other cities, with the question "who is your hairdresser, I love your color (or your cut)?" This is a place of highly skilled professionals who make it worth the time and money to GET IT DONE RIGHT. For the service,the prices are way too high. Manicure was average,nothing special. Facial was allright but my face was stinging from one of the creams. When I asked for it to be removed she told me that is was very exclusive cream from France. I dont care,it still didnt feel good. This salon is too expensive for the service given.

It looks like celebrities, although I never saw any, are what this $$$$ place wants. The prices are way to high for this hair salon. Its a dated place with some good hairdressers, but not much more. Some clients left looking very good but others looked better when they walked in. I wouldn't feel so bad if they charged normal prices but they are off with these prices$$$$

I have been going to Gay for 2 years now and I have never ever stuck with the same stylist for that long. She gets my hair to do exactly what I want and is always apprised of the latest techniques. My highlights have looked so natural or lasted so long before. Spending time in Gay's chair is a pleasure and fun; she's great to talk to. I don't feel like I am talking to my hairstylist, but to a friend. Gay has great hours, so even with hectic schedule I can normally get into see her with no problems at all. Michelle is a true artist. I have had some awful experiences with my hair, and when I found Michelle, I knew she was the best. She made me feel so at ease, and before starting with my hair she sat with me and talked to me about what I was looking for. There was no pressure; she really cared. Marcia is an extremely competent and skilled professional who is in-tune with the desires of her clients. She clearly explains the coloring process and the required maintenance that will keep it looking new. When she colored my hair, she selected a shade that complimented my skin tone and appearance. I love getting compliments on my color and cut! I recommend her highly!

I think the best hair dresser in the world works here. His name is Massimo. I've never met a hairdresser that I feel contented before I met him. Now I'm a repeat customer for this place and very amused by his skill and his pleasent attitude. I'm Asian, probably my hair type is a bit different that he usually deals with everyday,,but he's the one of the best hairdresser who knows what his doing!

I live in Northwestern Broward County, but Ugo di Roma was recommended to me by a client who's haircut and color I just loved. Not only was the trip worth the gas and time, but, my experience will ake me a repeat customer for life. I was greated by the owner, and treated like family. My cut and color are better than I could have hoped for.

I made an appointment this last Wed for a toe polish change and a manicure. W/in the next day the manicure started to chip, w/in 3 days it needed to be completely removed. As for the manicure - Sun is when it started to chip. As for "celebrities" - manybe some lame reality TV celebritiy goes here - but no real celebrity - this was was dated and rather dirt/grungy. Completely over-rated and total waste of money!

I travel frequently and have had massages in several cities. The last time I was in Miami I had a massage and body scrub at Ugo the Roma with Carlos. He was recommended by a friend and all I can say is that if you need to relax in a pleasant atmosphere and feel the need to feel pampered, Carlos has hands of gold. After a
long day of meetings and decision making I felt 80 yrs old when I left the salon I
felt ready to hit the town and party all night. I will definatly will visit Carlos when Iam back in town.

I have become a regular at Ugo di Roma since i started going there last year. I won't let anyone cut my hair unless it's Massimo, he is unbelievably talented!!! Sometimes I don't even have to say anythign to him, he styles my hair perfect. He can do anything from giving you glamourous runway look to a perfect blowout. Elia does the best manicure and bikini wax, she is very careful. Definitely worth going there, the staff is completely devoted to satisifying your needs.

I have been a client of Gay's for over 4 years now and as long as she's around, I'll be her forever clilent!! She does the best color and highlights of anyone that has EVER done my hair. Once I found Gay, I stuck with her because she's a skilled artist in color. When in her chair, her total focus is on you and making sure that when she is done, your hair is looking at its all time best. Once you go to Gay you will become a permanent client just like I have! No one else will compare. Lastly, I want to say that Gay is reliable---She always starts my appointment at the time I'm scheduled; I always get her undivided attention and she takes day and evening appointments.

I am so happy that I found this salon and I am particularly happy with my colorist Michelle and my stylist Fredrico. Very knowledgable and talented artists. Very personable as well. This is really the best I have felt about my hair and the health of my hair in a very long time and I have been to a lot very "high end" salons. It's just so nice getting compliments on my hair again and also loving the way I look everyday.

As a nice little extra treat, the salon is located in a wonderful shopping area of Coconut Grove. I got there a bit early and did some window shopping. All in all, it was a great experience. Thanks Ugo!

I'm Latina and I have very wavy hair, I have always been nervous about coloring and cutting my hair due to my past experiences. I went to Jimmy (I found him through this website) I was so nervous that I even bought him a book of pictures circled with hair cuts and color that I liked. Jimmy was so sweet he calmed my nerves listened to what I wanted. Jimmy worked his magic and, I came out looking like a MOVIE STAR!!!! MY BOYFRIENDS JAW DROPPED when he saw me. Jimmy gave me beautiful honey colored highlights and a soft layered cut. Since my new look I get nothing but compliments about how great my hair looks ranging from strangers in the supermarket to my co-workers!!! Everyone wants to know with who I got my hair done with ... I just smile and say Jimmy, he's the best..... lol

Michelle Antinarello is the best hair colorist I have ever had. She is friendly, personable and accommodating. She understands how color relates to your skin color and type, age and hairstyle. Michelle is extremely professional and a skilled technician. She is straightforward and honest, but makes you feel comfortable with her recommendations. She includes you in the decision-making. At my first appointment with Michelle, my hair color needed changing and she gave me her recommendations, but also suggested making changes gradually over 2-3 appointments so I would feel more comfortable with the changes and with her techniques. My color has never been better. If you want truly glorious hair color, book an appointment with Michelle! She is an artist and an asset for the salon. Spring

What can I tell you about Ugo Di Roma spa? They are GREAT!!!! The salon is superb, and the receptionist is so pleasant and personable. If you want a great facial, go see Martha. Martha gives the best facials in town. I call her the facial queen. If extracting junk from your pores it what you want, go see Martha. She will leave your pores squeaky clean. Your face will only feel great, but look fresh and youthful. Someone else that I highly recommend is Elia the manicurist. She is also magnificent. In all honesty, she has given me the best manicures and pedicures. I love the way she shapes my nails, and removes all the cuticles from my hands and feet. The salon is beautiful. I find it a little pricey, but definitely worth the expense.

I was starting to hate my hair, but after a fabulous cut, I've changed my mind. I need to change the color and will come backe in a few weeks. My facial was ok, but something made my skin turn all blotchy for about a week afterwards. It was a little red when I left, but the following day it spread to my cheeks and neck. Nothing life threatening, but it wasn't what I expected. The facialist put some aloe on it and said it would calm down, but it took a while. She was very nice and felt bad, but it kind of made me scared to have another facial for a while. At least my hair looks Fab!

I had an overall great experience at the spa, but my favorite part of the entire day was the facial with Martha Sanchez. She is so knowledgeable, gentle, gave an amazing custumized facial, did lots of extractions, yet extreemely pampering. And when she was done to my surprise, no blotchines nor irritation, just pure glow!!! I'm still recieving compliments and it has been 3 weeks... Can't wait to go back!!!

I had an excellent experience with the "Exetnsion specialist," Michele Mantin at the Ugo Di Roma salon, in Coconut Gove. If you want extensions YOU MUST SEE MICHELE! SHE IS THE BEST!!! Very professional and takes her time with each strand of hair. A very pleasant person and fun to be around. I would definitely recomment her to anyone contemplating extensions in Florida.

Martha's facial... professional, meticulous, gentle, but won't leave one dirty pore.
At the same time she has the ability to relax and pamper you until you helplessly fall into a deep slumber, every time! I actually get compliments on my skin now. My friends tell me I look younger and they can't put their finger on it... My previously blotchy, dull skin is now like that of a porcelain doll. Flawless! This is the one time I know my money is being spent well... All my friends and relatives are now her loyal and thankful clients!

I'm Mirna and I've been going to Ugo di Roma for the past three years and my experience has been amazing. Miriam and Sophie's friendly smiles are the first thing you see. Lina, Elia and Liliana give the best manis and pedis in all of coconut grove. Martha can squeeze just about anything out of your face. EVERYONE is absolutely great!
Specially Harry,he is a genious, an artist, and a great professional. He moved here from NY where he owned his own shop. It's like he is an angel that was sent to save my hair. I was at the salon for hair extensions and a color. Michelle was incredibly talented and friendly. The great length hair extensions she did came out fabulous. I would recommend them to anyone that is considering having extensions done. These are by far the best ones to get. Michelle is great at applying them and nice to be with during the long process. My color has never looked better either. I will most certainly be a regular customer of hers.

I have always gotten a fabulous haircut from Alex at Ugo di Roma. He takes so much time and puts so much effort into what he does. My hair grows out so well after the cut, that I don't even have to go back every month for a touch-up. The salon also provides so many luxurious services that its a great experience all around.
