You might say that Vinny's traces it's roots back to Italian traditions, but new traditions are created here everyday. Vinny's is a slightly more casual counterpart to sister restaurant Van Gogh's in Roswell. We serve innovative menu with Italian influences that constantly receives high ratings by Zagat's and the community. Every dish begins with only the freshest ingredients, like imported reggiano parmesan cheese, organic greens, truffles, and fresh meat and seafood. Our pizza is made fresh in our own brick oven and is perfectly complemented with our eclectic selection of beers on tap or one of our fine Italian wines or California reserves. Vinny's has delicious, innovative food that will surely satisfy your inner cravings.
My favorite dish at Vinny's is the gnocchi, but I've never had a bad meal there. I've been for both dinner and lunch, and the quality never wavers. They have a great selection of wines, and the decor is beautiful. Highly recommended!

A very good place for lunch. I have not been there for dinner unfortunately. The decor is very nice and service has been good every time I have been there.

Everything about Vinnys makes me feel special. The staff there is wonderful and the food is world class. The service is excellent. Even if there is a wait it is well worth it.

We've been eating here for years when it was the only restaurant on Windward Parkway!... and the food is always consistent and extremely good. The mussels are superb! The Tuscan decor and atmosphere are lovely and the wait staff always courteous and helpful with menu items. Always a good experience!

Delicious Crab Cakes

The crab cake appetizer is by far the best crab cake I've ever had anywhere. So, so good. And the apple slaw is an unusual and delicious accompaniment. The salmon entree was average tasting, but the bloodline was not cut out. The risotto served with the salmon had an unusual taste--not necessarily a bad taste, but not good either. I'm not sure what it was. I'll try the restaurant again--any place that can make a pile of crab meat taste so divine warrants another try.

I have always enjoyed my meals at Vinnys on Windward. They have not been in business for 11 years for nothing. The atmosphere is great, although a little loud sometimes. The food and service are exceptional! As far as burnt filets go, if you want your filet well done and served with A1 sauce, then Vinnys is not the place for you.

Burnt Filet Mignon

Today I had a horrible experience on my 19th wedding anniversary. My husband and I went to Vinny's on Windward. I ordered filet mignon. I received it BURNT! I immediated infromed the waiter to bring me some A1 sauce to over come the burnt taste. She said, "ok." Why didn't she offer to bring me another Filet? Another waiter came and gave me the A1 sauce and informed me she had told the manager about the situation. However, still no one ever offered me another filet. Finally the manager came after I finished eating the filet with my A1 sauce and my husband had finished his meal. What poor service. The restaurant was not even busy. There were only a few people in the restaurant. Finally, he came over and says, "can I get you something else, oh I guess not you are finished." Of course, it only took him 30 minutes to come check things out. I said, "no thanks." He went on to make excuses of why the filet was burnt. I told him I always order everything well done and I have never left a restaurant with a burnt taste in my mouth. My husband ordered well done and his was not burnt. He continued with the excuses, but I told him not to worry about it. I kind of got tired of debating with him. Everyone makes mistakes and they should have immediately offered to correct the situation. I guess their ratings could be good if you don't have a bad experience. But, if you have a bad experience don't expect good service from Vinny's!!!!!!!

A small vacation

Escape to Italy at Vinny's; brick and soft lights high ceilings and casual charm.Mussels and wine or a five course meal -- we had our Christmas party there

Always a Pleasure

Although a trip to Alpharetta is considered going out of town to this Decaturite, we always stop at Vinny's when going to visit family in Cummings, GA. We have never been disappointed. Food is always good, service attentive. Beautiful place.

Perfect

This place is great, and a welcome place in the suburbs. The ambiance is pleasant, especially the porch for dining. The food is exceptional. You must try the deserts, some created by one of the owners. It reminds me of the lovely intown restaurants that are harder to get to more often.

Great patio that's under appreaciated. My husband and I feel "special" whan we dine at Vinny's. The staff is very friendly and the food is the best in North Fulton. We love to sit at the bar and watch the chefs cook too! Try the tuna salad at lunch, any pizza and the seafood including their crabcakes.

Coming Back!!!

My wife and I were driving around on a Saturday in the Alpharetta area and found this great restaurant. We had no reservation but they promptly accomodated us. The food is amazing. I ordered the rack of lamb and found it to be one of the best entrees I've ever had. She had the seabass and it was decadent. Our server seemed to have knowledge from everything from wine to basic ingredients and actually for once I felt like I was a guest at restaurant and not a number. The wine list seemed have a nice selection from classic americans to rare big italian reds. I could go on and on, just check it out for yourself....we're definitely coming back!!!!
