Like the other reviewers, I too got deceived by this company. Theyre shady, unprofessional, and their business and sales practices are unacceptable. The Austin location closed down almost 3 years ago, and they still owe me for treatments I didn't receive as part of a package I purchased. I purchased the package, and less than 3 months later the center closed down. The owner, Dr. Steven Finder sent me ONE letter notifying the center had closed down and they would issue refunds. I HAVEN'T HEARD from him since then. When I've tried to contact them, I either have to leave a message with someone other than management, or leave a voicemail. No one has ever called me back to let me know when I will receive my refund. It has been almost 3 YEARS!!! I've only gotten vague email responses from the account manager, Kim Leal that they will refund the money, but she can't give me a date. They seem to think they can drag this on until they choose. They're using our money to keep their other centers from closing including this one. They are using our money for themselves! I would never support a business like this again.

DON'T BUY ANY hair removal or salon packages from them! If the center closes, you will not get your money back! There are so many good and better deals out there from more reputable companies, and with much better customer service and satisfaction policies. Just look for deals and instead support local businesses. BEWARE -- DON'T SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!!

I would like Dr. Finder to respond to this review and the other reviewers who have felt duped by him and his company. And FINALLY tell us when he will give us our money back.

I'm glad there are some of you that are pleased with their service, that's the way a business should operate, but this business has failed to satisfy many customers. Whether it be unreturned refunds or unsuccessful treatments, these broken promises should be reported. Please help bring justice. I am very unhappy with the service (that I never got) I paid at front for laser hair removal back in June 2010 in Austin.Then, the clinic closed and they promised a refund. I have been making phone calls since then, leaving messages to the account department and nobody never calls me back. When I talk to somebody from the staff they are very rude and just transfer me to the account depatment where seriuosly I think nobody is there EVER!.
These is very unprofessional and I dont recommend these place to anybody!

Everyone at Smooth Solutions is very helpful and happy to see you.
I have not met one unpleasant person that works at this location. They always greet you by your first name and ask how you are doing!

I recommend this location to anyone willing to try it, all the employees try their best to make the laser hair removal as quick and as painless as they can!

I just wanted to say that this has been the best descision that i have made doing laser hair removal. I was a little worried before I went because of all the reviews. When I arrive there to my appointment The staff @ Smooth Solution off 410 and Ever are so friendly and they answered all my questions that I had about the treatment. This was my first session and I have seen the difference.I have only shaved once since my treatment and its been 3 weeks now. and my next visit is in April. This was worth every penny. The price was affordable !! Thank you Smooth Solution :)

The HP branch closed in the late summer/early fall. I was given the opportunity to transfer to another location in North Dallas (neither are actually close or convenient, especially with the abundance of other clinics in the area) with a 20% increase in funds or to cancel. I chose to cancel.

I was told I had to wait 12 weeks for a refund. I thought this seemed a bit ridiculous given technology and the express time they debited my account in the first place, but said okay, and went about the business of waiting for my check. I work two jobs, and went to the Dallas branch for a reason. In addition, I'm a teacher, and went there because of a deal.
Again, working two jobs and being a teacher this (approximately $400) is a lot of money for me (but it's something I wanted to do and I saved for it). I also needed to find a new place to continue treatments ASAP, else have to start over (thus costing me MORE money and in this case money I specifically set aside and no longer had).
A few months later I'm being told (after calling so often I felt like a debt collector) that the people in account management were under the assumption that everyone would get refunds (I'm not sure why they wouldn't check their facts when promising a refund of close to $400 for services never rendered OR why upper management/owners wouldn't be specific about their information). In reality, the refunds were put under review and sent letters (not phone calls, unreal) on January 19th. I've been calling them non stop beginning prior to the 19th, and didn't even receive the letter!
Sadly, I actually enjoyed my experience there, and recommended it to other people, however, at this point I have NO desire to continue to to business with this company and want my money back. The only time I've been given the run around like this is when dealing with cell phone companies, and that's saying something.

I am Dr. Steven Finder and would like to respond to some of these negative comments. When you are one of the largest laser hair removal provider you draw a lot of attention.

First, we are not perfect. We have done over 300,000 treatments in San Antonio and among those tens of thousands of clients are some that are unhappy. We try to do the best we can but we will never be able to make everyone happy. Nonetheless, I would like to respond to the mistakes and statements made in the negative comments as they appear on the page.

To Morfoula: If by ??laiers? you mean liars, I take offense to that. If someone lied to you, I want to know about it because that is not acceptable. But we do not lie to our clients. Nor do we advertise something we do not provide.

I can not speak about your treatments in Greece. I know that we start carefully with someone because we do not know how their skin will react but that is why we have lower prices after the initial series of treatments and are very generous with free treatments for people who have not responded. You can make no conclusion about the quality of our results after only one treatment

About being shaved. The laser energy is attracted to the melanin in the hair. Any hair above the skin steals energy away from the energy that reaches the hair root and kills it. The more energy stolen the less effective the treatment. Any provider that does not shave you is not giving you the best treatment.

You must not have returned to the center when your hair did not fall out or you would have found out that we have a very generous missed hair policy. We would have evaluated your results and retreated you. These are things that many of our competitors do not do.

Regarding Ideal Image and any other competitor. They have clients who complain about us. We have clients that complain about them. It is par for the course.

To SC. I want to apologize. We make mistakes and our staff sometimes say things that they should not. Any business that employs people has that problem but we do not condone it. Why did you not speak to our manager so that she could correct the situation?

To Rachel M. Since I do not know who you or your daughter are, I can not speak to any specifics. We have never fired someone over a simple mistake. We have never fired a great employee. We have fired someone for making the same mistake over and over. We have fired people for violating safety protocols especially if they put a client at risk. Even then we are very careful and give the person the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes someone gets fired for a simple mistake but it was the final straw in a serious of ongoing problems and mistakes. Your daughter may not have told you the full story. Contact me and I will find out the full story for you.

laiers and unprofessional!I visited the stone oak place and I was not at all pleased!at first they were friendly trying to do as much discount as they could,l paid in front of course and after I was treated there was a misunderstanding about the areas that we ''agreed'' to treat and they had to give money back,it took them more than an hour to do so!
About the treatment:I've been treated before with laser in Greece and I wanted a clinic here to continue my treatment.The hair that I have are treated better because I did it many times,but in smooth solutions they grew up within not even 20 days and imagine that in Greece they wanted 2 months to grow.
They also shaved me despite the fact I didn't want to(face area) and for that reason hair that weren't treated(because she couldn't see where it was due to shaving)grew up wild.The bikini area was not at all changed.the hair was supposed to fall within some days from the treatment and guess what,they never did.
The sell things that cannot accomplish and they advertise something they don't provide!I then went to Ideal image and they told me that other customers were unsatisfied as well.I wish I knew earlier!

I went there for a free consultation and was pleasantly surprised with the attitude and staff of the Stone Oak location. I am MTF transsexual and the staff and manager were nothing but courteous and respectful. I went in to have my jawline worked on (As I have had some treatments before in a another state and did not need a full face session) and they took the time to ensure I selected the best treatment option that maximized my results and was the most affordable. Even though the treatment wasn't on special I selected it was still a great price, and I was able to get a discount for prepaying, AND the manager said that if the areas that I prepay-ed ever went on special I would receive a refund on the difference in price! I went in for my first treatment yesterday and was again amazed at the professionalism of the staff and have doing this a few times in the past Know it was done correctly! Great job to you! And I will recommend this location to all my TS and CD friends who want to have hair removal! Thank you!

I have sensitive skin & thick hair which has been problematic my whole life. I had my underarms, lower legs, and full bikini areas treated 2-3 years ago. The prices back then were much higher, and I still thought it was WELL worth it. The process is kind of painful, but in smaller areas (underarms), it's very tolerable. The bikini area was most painful for me, but the staff let me bring in my iPod which is a great distraction. I didn't notice any difference when the hair regrew after the first 2 sessions, but by the fourth session I was hairfree for 2 months, and regrowth was minimal. I never even had my 6th leg treatment, as it has not been necessary. The staff was always very professional & I never had any trouble scheduling appointments at a convenient time or with long wait periods. All in all, no complaints.

There has been almost no hair regrowth during this time. I just had a touch up session on my underarms, and was really happy with how cheap the visit was, and how soon I got a weekend appointment. My results are unbelievable, and have remained permanent. I highly recommend the Evers location Smooth Solutions to anyone wanting relavilty inexpensive permanent hair removal. :)

An untrained technician burned me. A year later I still have dark spots on my skin. The owner of the place told me that they intentionally use higher level laser setting to that they are "more effective" than other hair removal salons. Obviously, safety is not a priority. I have fair skin and they used much to high laser setting, hence, the burns.

I have been going to Smooth Solutions for about 2 years now. I have never once had any issues with them. I have had my bikini area and underarms done there. Prices are great - especially if you are able to get in on an "advertised special". You will have to pre-pay for "X" number of treatments at one time, but the prices are wonderful during those specials. Their staff is excellent, nurses are highly trained and go above and beyond to help when needed. Laser techs are wonderful and very caring as well.

PROS: Hair removal - need I say more?? LOL
