Frisco Horse Park has been an asset to the community for the 21 years I've lived down the road from them. Over the years I, my child, friends and guests have enjoyed many happy hours there. I even volunteered time and found that to also be an peaceful way of spending the morning hours. After being away from riding the past few years and dealing with some health issues, my doctor and physical therapist suggested hippotherapy & referred me to a farm in Denton. I immediately looked for the Frisco Horse Farm online both to make sure it hadn't yet been turned into another set of McMansion track homes and to see if this therapy could be done closer to home. I'm very surprised at some of the comments here as over the past two decades I've found the farm to be a welcoming and comfortable place for both humans and animals.

I was so excited for my daughter finally turning the right age to start lessons. I volunteered before i had her and now its her turn to see the beauty. I understand that they might have had a few run-ins... but she absolutely loved her lessons. The instructor she had got her out of her shell and really connected with her. when she found out that the instructor was leaving for college she was torn.

We also came out for the summer horse camp, she would tell me about all the great things she learned about that day. I know the counselors really loved helping their student learn about the SAFTEY not just riding. They work really hard with the 40 or so kids to make sure everyone is having fun and staying safe. I would bring some of my daughters friends here next summer.

I also understand that they will be moving to another facility and get a fresh start! This is wonderful! Its right down the road and has the same things to do.

I came out to FHP bc i was having some issues and needed a break from life I learned to love and know each of the staff out there. They truley have an understanding of horses and all staff can name all 25 trail horses by looking at them! I also met the owner MR. Wayne Kirk recently and sat down with him and his wonderful fiance Vanessa Fry. We sat and talked for about three hours on how and why the place is there. You all are free to put your opinion and post whatever you may like but FHP focuses on the family atmosphere. My wonderful wife Charisa take our boys out there and they simply have a blast. Frisco Horse Park has changed fom previous management from a crazy bible woman to people who have pure love and show it everyday.

We attended a birthday party and I have to say it was very chaotic--there was no supervision and the staff sat most of the time on the porch or in the office talking with one another-but it is just kids running the place-the horses looked overworked and in my opinion poorly cared for-- I have been an rider and a horse owner for years and I was shocked that the establishment allows the parents to guide their children on the ponies instead of the staff. I was fine with that because of my comfort level with horses but I just think that is asking for trouble. They had a jump house at this party and the jump house had huge holes in the netting. My son was sliding down the slide and fell threw the hole-- falling over 6 feet to the ground-it is irresponsible for the owner to blow these up and have them out period!! I would not take your child to this place--it is dirty run down and un-safe even it you do keep the closest watch on your child.

My daughter recently had a disasterous riding experience at the park. Her trail leader talked on the phone the whole time and did not assist my young daughter when she was in trouble. My child left in tears and trembling which is strange since she is an intermediate rider. I wrote the park to discuss the matter and ask for some form of rembursement but they have chosen not to even acknowledge the incident

Mr. Bill A and Wayne Kirk,I don't understand why you said any of those other names. You both know none of those other people you named in your review have ever posted anything on this site, except me, and I had my review deleted already a week ago. Why are you so worried about a 'young girl' who's opinion is no longer listed? I realized the error in my judgment long before Mr. Bill posted this message. That is why my review is gone off of both places I had posted it. Now, if you would, please ask your staff to stop e-mailing & harassing me pertaining to the care of my horse who is of no concern to you or your staff anymore. I'm sorry for whatever difficulty this review business has caused you, if any. I have already apologized to your barn manager and her daughter, so leave me alone. I don't understand what else you want.

Frisco Horse Park is just a right off to get money from the goverment. Frisco Horse Park gets thousands of dolloars every year for their so callled "Wild Horses"! They are not wild just not properly trained because they dont have well trained staff to train them! My son volunteers at SPCA on the weekends and you do not know how much SPCA whats to shut FHP down. They do not think FHP is a good filicty. So dont let these other people tell you so. I know it's a charity and they get donated horses but half the horses that were donated were there for years and they have not improved just gotten worse!! And 75% of the horses there are bred and born there from the studs and the donated horses are in better condition. I used to volunteer and have my son birthday there every year Bless the old owners heart but she should of donated her animals somewhere where they wouldnt get sick and die off! The FHP is supposed to be for disable but FHP scare the diable off because there lack of care for them and there staff isnt even trained to handle or take care of them. I voluteered there for 2 months and i realized yeah its nice that they have horses in the colony but they need to have horses that are cared for not just a right off to gain more money. And i dont agree some people about Stephanie and Vanessa!!!

My daughter has been taking riding lessons at the horse park for years and has also attended their great summer camps for the last 3 years. She has not only learned to be a wonderful horse person, but also learned wonderful skills in other areas due to her involvement and volunteer time out there. I have seen the horse park continuously evolve over the years and am so pleased with all the upgrades and changes I have seen. As far as the instructors and guides, I have never had a complaint from my daughter and my dealings have been mostly with the office personnel. Gina was a good influence and manager at the horse park. She was a wonderful addition as Vanessa is now. Since Vanessa's arrival I have seen people who were not the cream of the crop asked to leave and new people were implemented. I feel alot of the negative things I read are coming from those people she has asked to leave or has not allowed to return. Oddly, the people that have left want to come back. I hope Vanessa, Kelly and Stephanie and the other current staff at the horse park stick to their guns and uphold the new rules and requirements. Thanks for being there Frisco Horse Park.

I have been out there repeatedly the last 4 months and have seen amazing changes and have had such a wonderful time with my family! The weekends are packed full of 100's of people all with smiling faces. What a wonderful gift this place is right in the middle of town! I read some of the other reviews and I think they are expecting something out of a movie. Frisco Horse Park is about kids and nature and animals. It is not meant to be a Hollywood riding facility. I love how they have kept their older horses and loved on them. I hope they never give in to some of the superficial people's requests I've heard while being out there. Just like our old grandparents don't look so "pretty" anymore their 29year old horses don't either. That doesn't mean they should get rid of them because we only expect to see the kinds of horses on T.V. What a sad culture! I have seen some spoiled little Plano and Frisco kids and moms complaining because there was dirt on their horse. Now that's funny!! Thank you Frisco Horse Park! My family and friends will continue to support you!!

I found this place on accident, when I went to a pumpkin patch on their property. They had pony rides for the kids, and my boys had a blast on thier small ponies.

We went back for a birthday party recently, where all the kids got to ride on a path on their land. They were very safety conscious, had lots of supervision, and had strict rules about the animals. I loved that they stressed the importance of being kind and taking care of the animals, and how to be safe.

I'm not sure of the prices, but I think it's worth every penny. The animals are healthy and well fed and are very well cared for. The staff is very good and nice, and the park is very family friendly.
