No frozen patties here. Great tasting beef that makes great tasting burgers, very large burgers. I have eaten here more that 10 times because of it's proximety to my work and have never had an issue, burgers are always delicious and prepared as I asked. Retro feel is cool too. A bit pricey but I dont think about the $10 once I taste it, the way it should be.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. The burgers are excellent, as is the rest of the food, especially the malts! I go there frequently and my family always wants to eat there when they visit San Antonio. The food is priced quite low (and I'm a poor college student!). Mmm, now I want to go there!!
Pros: Great food and service, cheap!
Cons: none whatsoever
The burger was just okay. I don't like fat misshaped burgers so that turned me off. My burger was this big ball of meat in the middle of the bun. I felt like I was eating miles of bread just to get to the ball of meat in the middle. I went with just myself and my two small children and my bill was close to $40.00. It's upsetting to pay that much $ on a mediocre meal. Won't be going back.
Pros: Cute Decor, Nice Atomosphere
Cons: Overpriced
The entire staff is fun and friendly. The sweet, old man at the bar area told us about the history while we enjoyed our amazing food. The quantities are massive and the food is delicious!
Pros: best cheeseburgers in town; awesome malts; excellent service
Cons: that I can't go daily
Excellent burgers and great service! The onion rings are worth killing for and the fries are good too. Never had a bad meal here!
Pros: Best Onion Rings in town
Cons: Parking can be dicey
This place is okay, but not better than Chesters. I am believing this is higher because the tech savy mom's are on here more than the blue collar types that frequent Chesters. If you with your kids go to cheesy janes. If you want a great burger go to Chesters
Had heard nothing about this burger joint, saw it in a travel book and decided to try it. Thought that the service was top notch and the burger and onion rings were great! Do not have Sonic where I love so cannot compare it to that, but compared to McDonald's, Burger King, etc. thought that this was much better and a very 60's looking restaurant. Noticed that there were a lot of families eating there, very kid friendly.
Onion rings were OK but not as good as Clear Springs, Tator Tots too greasy better at Sonic, Fries hard better @ Whataburger,Hamburgers so so better at Fudrucker's & Chesters, Shakes too much ice!!!
NICE STAFF
Pros: NICE STAFF
Cons: food not very good WAY OVER PRICED!!!
The bathrooms should be cleaned. Its hard to enjoy a mean when the restrooms are so dirty. The food is great but the restrooms make the whole place feel dirty.
I tried it and was very disappointed! The burger was mediocre and overpriced, the shake was good but way overpriced! I've had better burgers at fast food drive throughs.
Pros: Good shake
Cons: Bad food
I do not think this place is that great. They are just overpriced burgers. Fairly comprable to Burger king. Sure the burgers are large but they should taste good too.
Pros: Fast seating when we went
Cons: Overpriced
I have been there several times while visiting San Antino and Cheesy Jane's has the best cheeseburger I have ever had. Big portions of meat with LOTS of cheese and all the fixings you could ever want or imagine. Everytime I am in San Antino I make a point of visiting Cheesy Jane's at some time to eat.
Pros: Nostalgic Atmosphere, Good value, Fast service
Cons: a little noisey
This great eating place serves all types of eaters with the milkshakes, great burgers, tuna melts, and the great southwest chicken sandwhich. The waiter seats you and you dont ever half to flag him down. This full-service restaurant is the best burger place in San Antonio, might i suggest an M&M and oreo milkshake, it is awesome!
Pros: Good Food, Good Atmosphere, Clean Restrooms
Cons: , n/a, n/a
Cheesy Jane's has the feel of a sixties malt shop in a bright colorful refurbished gas station. The real star is the one-pound hamburger - get your picture on the hall of fame if you can finish it!
The food is great - definitely a hamburger, rings, and malt sort of place (but with other items to make everyone happy) - and a good bargain to boot.
Pros: Fabulous burgers!, Great malts & shakes
The overall service and food was great. The Choco Banana shake was AWESOME!!!!
Cheese on the burger not the surroundings like TGIF or some other corporate clone.
Very friendly little place on Broadway squeezed in between Jim's & Earl Ables. Great Food (Big burgers like you'd make 'em) & thick shakes. Great place for kids too. Fun decorations and friendly staff make the good burgers even better.
Pros: Friendly, Fun, Good Food
Cons: Small
With all of the hype that I've heard about this place, my family and I were very disappointed during our lunch visit today. The food was passable, but not nearly as good as I'd been led to believe. The parking was atrocious! The place is way too small. If they're going for an "old fashioned hamburger/malt joint", that maitre'd is way out of place.
Cons: Terrible parking, Restuarant too small
This is where you go if you are hankering for a good burger. The famous "Cheesy Jane" is a half- pound burger topped with everything or nothing (as you like it). It also comes with fries for $6.45. They also have a kids menu and a kids club where the child recieves coupons for free meals throughout the year. Not to mention they send one for mom on Mother's Day. The restuarant is built in former gas station and has a dinner feel inside. The Staff there is SUPER friendly and service is quick. They have other sandwiches there but thier burgers are the BEST I've had. Oh, and the milkshakes.....very good!
Pros: kid friendly, great staff, good prices
Cons: Parking
A relatively little known hamburger joint on Broadway near the Witte Museum lies Cheesy Jane's in a refurbished gas station. This place has the juiciest hamburgers and the best onion rings in town. The ambience is a diner type place which is great for kids. The staff are very friendly and will come out and chat with you at times. TV's are high on the walls but not blaring with the news or sports shows that they play so that people can actually hear themselves talk. They have everything like an old diner would and it is conveniently located near the Witte Museum, the zoo, and other attractions along Broadway and Hildebrand intersection.
Pros: good parking, great value, friendly staff
This place is fantastic! I eat here all the time--it's one of the reasons I like living in Alamo Heights. Great burgers, onion rings and delicious shakes. And Taffee is the best waitress in town! I take all of my out of town guests here and they all love it. Very cool place!!!
