The cliff dwellings seem terribly overshadowed by the museum's large shop. The dwellings took us minutes to look at and investigate while the shop is 3 floors of stuff and takes much longer.

One word to describe this place is... fascinating. You are actually allowed to tour inside the dwellings where the Indians once lived. The onsite museum is a wonderful learning experience and the music you hear throughout the complex is mesmerizing. They have a gift shop that makes you want to buy, buy, and buy.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure.

... where you *won't* find "Do Not Touch" signs! These are authentic Anasazi cliff dwellings, built more than 700 years ago, preserved under sandstone. You are encouraged to touch and even enter these ancient homes! As an added bonus, in the summer, the Natives will even come and perform some of their dances for the visitors! You can even walk though nature and see the plants that grow naturally labeled thoughout the walk (but watch your little ones carefully! My little sister had the luck of finding the poison ivy!)
