Mother's Market & Kitchen

I have been a customer's at Mother's for years but I will never go back. I bought something that cost about $4 and gave the cashier $20. She was chatting with a couple of co-workers the whole time and proceeded to give me change as if I had given her $5. When I asked for my correct change she insisted I only gave her $5. She asked me to write my number down so they can call me when they count out her box. RIGHT, I insisted she call a manager who decided they may as well count since the cashier was off in 5 minutes. Lucky me, 10 minutes later, the manager comes out and hands me the correct change with a complacent "sorry" . Well, sorry won't do, I refuse to shop there ever again.

The variety of healthy food available from vegeterian frozen meals to organic yogurts to gluten free pastas makes for an easy shopping experience for a health conscious person. I love the juice bar and vitamin section. The staff are often very knowledgeable and helpful. I also enjoy the free seminar offered by Mother's.

I love shopping at Mother's. They are quite small and don't carry everything you might need on your shopping list but they have a fairly extensive inventory and many unique food items - both groceries and fresh or prepared items in their deli section. Their vegetarian meat selection is excellent - fake chicken, ribs, burgers, fish, shrimp, ground beef, ground sausage - everything I need for cooking for special occasions and parties. They also have a wide array of vegan cheeses, sour cream, mayo and cream cheese as well as tempe and tofu products. There are also many ethnic foods available. As a bonus, they also carry recycled papertowels and toilet paper and biodegradable garbage bags. I usually go into Mother's for a couple items and leave with several bags! Prices are a little high but it is worth it to be able to buy groceries that you would otherwise only find online or have to drive to other cities for.
The restaurant - almost everything I've ever ordered at the restaurant has been really yummy. It is such a pleasure to be able to get fake bacon with my breakfast or chicken dishes at luch and enjoy the meat without having to eat a dead animal. I love being able to order anything off the menu that sounds good and not worry if there is meat in it! Their soups are particularly good. Prices are inexpensive. Service is very good. One of my favorite restaurants in HB.

I love going and buying stuff by the pound. They have a GREAT selection of natural foods. The produce is Wonderful as well. If you are looking for a Hard to Find item you will most likely find it here. They selection is top notch and they have a GREAT deal on vitamens and specialty items such as natural cosmetics and more.

This store is great. I went there once with my friend eventhough its little further from me but they had me going bak there again. They have great organic produce, grocery, juices and other stuff.

Super variety of organic produce and bulk items such as trail mix. A delightful deli with an enormous variety of vegetarian salads and tamales. They also have a small restaurant that serves delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinners. This store also sells cruelty-free beauty products.

In all the years we have been going there, we still find their prices can't be beat on vitamins, plus their selection goes way beyond other store. Then, to top it all off, the people who work there are so friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. We love this store!

Mother's has been serving Huntington Beach for over 25 years. They carry a large variety of organic fruits and vegetables as well as natural cosmetics, and one of the largest selections of discount vitamins and sports suppliments. They have a very friendly and knowledable staff. They also carry natural and healthy groceries at very good prices. Eat healthy, stay healthy.
