This is superior pizza, period. My favorite in Milwaukee is Zafirros, and this is a lot like a Zafirro's pie. I would rate Maria's crust as superior (just) to Zafirro's and Zafirro's sauce as superior (just) to Maria's. It's difficult to pick a winner between the two and that's saying a lot. Like I said, this is a superior pie!

This IS the best Thin crust around, I have been enjoying their delicious pizza for over 37 years, My family grew up on Maria's. My mother who is in her 70's has been eating it longer then I have. My sisters, brothers, my kids, niece's and nephew's. aunt's and uncle's and the list goes on and on. I see by some posts it isn't for everyone, but they are in the minority. I don't know of anyone who has tried it and doesn't like it. You may have to wait and it can be upsetting but it is well worth that wait, just have to know when to get there. :) And for Rob H. you obvioously have gone to the wrong place, In my opinion you have no taste or idea what good pizza is. I bet you are a fan of Toppers of Papa Johns. Yuck

After reading some reviews and seeing some pics of the pizza a friend and I decided to try this place out. Going in I felt the type of crust may be my least favorite part, as the pics I seen made it look like a super thin cracker type crust. I was pleasantly surprised though that the crust actually came out nice and chewy with the right amount of char blisters. Unfortunately that was the only thing pleasant about this pizza. We ordered a Sausage, Pepperoni, and Mushroom pizza. It looked nice when it arrived but from the first bite you could tell something was terribly wrong. The sausage had sooo much fennel that it tasted entirely of liquorice. Not just a piece here and there, but every piece. The sauces was as bland as I've ever had, you could see it but not taste it. The cheese was much the same. The mushrooms were from a can, probably straight from Pick n' Save, and the pepperoni as well. Pre-sliced Hormel in a zip bag? Possibly, but I think that tastes better. All these combined for an odd greasy flavor that hard to remove from your mouth and even harder to forget. We were sorely disappointed after reading good reviews of this place. Maybe we went on the one day that they had run out of all their normal ingredients and ran down to the corner grocery to get through the day? Possibly, probably not.

Bonnie, along with all the family are by far the best cooks and servers that you will be comfortable with. The taste is truly old school that you remember from yrs back and keep looking for where ever you go. Its always hot right away served and you can smell that wonderful pizza smell that is the best even before you get into the door.Po's; Can't say enough! Con's; I wished they delivered, but then I would have been overweight along time ago, because its so good.

People kept recommending that we try Maria's pizza, but we never did - the place looked so 'average' on Forest Home Ave. We finally did try it about a year ago, and we absolutely loved it. Their number is now on our speed-dial at home; we don't get pizza from anywhere else anymore. Maria's is the best.

Everyone has their favorite pizza place and their favorite type of pizza. This is our favorite.
Marias Pizza is a bit different then other pizzas and I can't put my finger on it. It has a paper thin crust and plenty of toppings, its reasonably priced and its a giant pizza.
One other thing they are consistent, it is always "the best"

PROS: Stop in and see why we love it!
CONS: We don't have it as often as we'd like.

Maria's is by far the best pizza that we have found in the Milwaukee area. The pizza is a very thin crust (It can be rolled up to eat!) and is huge! The prices are also very reasonable.

Sometimes it is a bit busy but it is well worth the wait. They offer dine in and take out but you have to dine in at last once to appreciate the place.

PROS: Great pizza, great prices!
CONS: A little busy at times but worth it.
