Grant's Farm

This weekend the place will be buzzing for Halloween with many fun things to do. What a great place for all ages. Som many things to do and a great place to see many animals and learn the history of St. Louis and The Busch family.

Parking is now $10 a carload. Admission is still free. Still 2 free beers to anyone over 21. Still great tour, entertaining shows, beautiful landscaping, lot's of interesting animals, environmental and animal friendly, educational and fun. Very enjoyable. We had 3 generations in our group yesterday and everyone loved it. Highly recommend it.

This attraction is a great place for old and young. The grounds are well maintained and the animal shows a lot of fun. Sampling the famous Budweiser products in the beer garden is a highlight of any visit.

This is an excellent little park. They have small animals and most are not behind bars and cages so it is easy for small children to see them. They have a small petting area where you can feed and pet baby goats. They have several animal shoes also. They have camels and llamas that you can feed and pet. The eating area was pretty crowded but the food was good. It was expensive to eat. They don't charge an admission fee but you do have to pay to park. I would highly recommend this attraction as a nice day trip for a family.

Grant's Farm is a wonderful place to bring your family on a beautiful day. It is a preserve ran by Anheuser Busch. It consists of land formerly owned by Ulysses Grant. It is a nature preserve with a diverse animal population. Admission is free. You take a tram ride through the park and observe the animals. Since the animal population is so diverse, it is not strange to see bison next to zebras. The tram takes you through the preserve and drops you off in a hospitality area. Here you are able to sample some Anheuser Busch products for free. You can also see different types of animal shows. The park is definitely a fun family experience.

we love taking the tours through grants farm It is very informative and the tram ride is pleasant! There is a lot of history in this park and we love to take out of town company here!

This is a great place for kids to see different animals and some animal shows. Not a lot of walkjng and the tram ride is always so fun. feeding the goats is a bit scary for the faint of heart (or shildren under 5) beccause they are aggresive little animals, but the rest of our visit was enjoyable!

This Anhueser Busch park was once home to the Busch family, but has since been opened up to the public. It includes a tram tour of the wild animal park, clydesdales, a beer garden (of course) with free samples, and plenty of special events around each holiday. It is only open May thru October.

PROS: pay only for parking, great place to spend the day
CONS: not open in the late fall, winter, or early spring

I absolutly loved Grants Farm. Everything about it was fun. Feeding the animals was something the kids and adults enjoyed. The turtles are a big hit, as are the goats. Bring some extra money so that you can feed their baby bottle of milk. Be careful though, the goats get somewhat rough when they want that milk.A tram tour of the grounds, enclosed by a fence built from Civil War rifle barrels, passes Grant's log cabin and thru an animal sanctuary. The tour ends at the entrance to a small but excellent zoo, with free animal shows.
It is worth the money and the time. And I would recommend this to anyone. In fact that is part of the reason we came to St. Louis is to go to Grant's Farm. And I would and probably will go back again.

A summer in St. Louis isn't complete without a trip to Grant's Farm. A part of the famous brewery conglomerate, the animal park is home to the famous Clydesdales and has free roaming cattle, buffalo, deer and other hooved animals.

There is an area where you can walk around in which you can see elephants, bears, ostriches, giant tortoises, kangaroos and other animals. They've got a petting area where you can mingle with the goats and give them a bottle if you're so inclined.

After you tour the animal areas, you can go to the food court area where adults can get to complimentary AB beverages if they want.

The only cost is for parking and it's a great experience for the whole family.

Grants Farm is an absolutely fantastic place to bring the whole family. The tour is a lot of fun and the petting zoo/zoo area is also great. Best of all, though, is that admission is free (parking is only a few dollars). Also, be sure to go to the Clydesdale Stables located on the other side of the parking lot (follow the hooves). Also, in the garden of the Farm there are usually free Busch samples. Overall, a great place to bring the family.

Grants Farm is an excellent place for a family outing. For one thing, it's affordable. You pay to park but admission is free and you don't spend a fortune once you get inside. You may also sample some anheiser busch beer.

Grant's farm is a fun family place to go. The parking is a fee- $10, I think. Admission is free. You ride a tram thru a animal park, where you can see animals roaming around. Once you get to the park you can feed goats and camels. There are a lot of animals that you get to see close up. Grant's farm is run by anheiser busch, in the food court, there is free tasting of their products. Something to keep the men busy. It is a fun family friendly place to go.

This tour is geared more toward children I believe, but there's something for the adults too - 2 free beers when you get to the oasis! The tour itself is neat, you get to share an open space with several animals that are not behind fences. Since it is Anhauser Busch-owned, the AB beer flows freely. Nice gift shops and you can learn a bit of history.

Grants Farm is a very fun and inexpensive place to take the children to. You pay $5 or $6 for parking, and the admission is free. They take you on a train ride through the park to see all sorts of animals that will come right up to the train. The kids love being up that close. Then the drop you off where you can feed the goats out of baby bottles, or see an elephant show, or even grab a free beer in the food area. My children love to go here.

Owned by the Anheuser Busch corporation, a visit to Grants Farm is guaranteed to be fun for all. After a ride through the wildlive reserve where young and old alike can see nature at its finest, you depart the tram to feed goats, watch shows, and then are treated to a complimentary beverage at the Biergarten, if you are over 21.

This is a really fun place for all. During the spring and summer there are tours and lots to do. You can go to the elephant show, see the exotic birds or just take the train ride. In October it is fun as they deck it out for Halloween and have things to do in the evenings. Check it out, lots of fun.

Grants Farm is owned and operated by Anheuser Busch. The farm was once the home of the Busch family and was named for President Grant, who also lived on a portion of the land for a period of time. Admission to Grants Farm is free, although there is a parking fee of $6 per auto and $12 per RV or bus. There are no fees for any of the attractions at Grants Farm!

What is there to see? One of the best was the Deer Park. We boarded an open-sided tram car (hang onto the kids - they are like the parking lot trams at Disney World) and were taken through and area where deer, antelope, zebras, buffalo, and bison roam free.

The Tier Garden is an area where the animal encounter is more hands-on. My kids enjoyed this quite a bit, especially y 9 year-old. She loved giving a bottle to the pygmy goats. My 4 year-old loved being surrounded by pot-bellied pigs.

There were two shows here, Animal Encounters and Elephant Education. These were cute and my younger two enjoyed it. My 13 year-old wasnt as thrilled with the place, so if you just have teenagers, they might not be that enthused about stopping here. We visited the Clydesdale Stables on the property which had more horses for us to see than what we had seen at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour.

For a bit of a historical take, the cabin in which Ulysses Grant built is available for a walk-through. The cabin had been moved a few times before the Busch family had it moved back to its original location and restored to its present condition. Only the first floor is available for walking through but its been given a good restoration with period furniture to give the feeling of what living here was like. Cut-outs of the President and his wife are here, startling us at first, then giving us a laugh.

The grounds and gardens are beautifully landscaped. My four year-old loved looking in the fish ponds and spotting the giant colorful fish in them. There is food available in the area called The Bauernhof.

PROS: free, fun things to do and see, FREE BEER
CONS: tweens and teens might not be enthused about coming here

Grant's Farm is another great FREE attraction in St. Louis. You do have to pay to park but it is well worth the price.

Upon entering the park you take a tram to the actual farm. There are many activities to do on the farm including feeding baby animals, viewing many animals, seeing animal shows and just walking the grounds. Its very beautiful and neat to hear the history of Grant and see his house.

They have a large beer garden where you can eat lunch or a snack and you can even sample Anheuser Busch products as well.

We love to go here at least a couple of times a year. You get to ride around and see all of the animals- the kids love it. And, then you get off and get to feed the camels, and the goats. Around Halloween they have a great "spook fest". You go on a haunted ride and the kids can dress up and bring flashlights. They have music, and face painters, and storytellers. We go every year.

This is a family favorite. Ther is no fee for admission. The grounds are lovely. You will ride in a tram for a wonderful tour of the farm and its wildlife. Kids can bottle-feed the baby goats!

OUR FAMILY HAS BEEN VISITING GRANTS FARM FOR YEARS. IT IS A WONDERFUL PLACE FOR A WEEKEND OUTING, OR TO CELEBRATE A SPECIAL EVENT. NO RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED, AND YOU CAN USUALLY GET ON A TOUR BUS FAIRLY QUICKLY, EVEN IF IT IS A VERY BUSY DAY THERE. THE SHOWS ARE GREAT- THEY HAVE A VARIETY OF SHOW WITH ANIMALS. OUR FAMILY ESPECIALLY ENJOYS FEEDING THE GOATS WHEN WE GO THERE. GOING TO GRANTS FARM IS A FAMILY TRADITION FOR US.

Grant's Farm is a St. Louis treasure. Owned by Anheuser Busch, the farm is tucked away in a South County location and features animal shows, African elephants, Clydesdales, and a hodgepodge of other animals. There is the obligatory petting zoo as well where kids can feed the goats.

For beer drinkers, free samples of AB products are offered daily here.

A highlight is the tram ride in the deer park, where you will see a variety of animals roaming free.

This is a wildlife preservation and there is a train that takes you through the park and then it drops you off to see more animals. There are buffalo, elk, deer, zebras, and camels. The kids favorite is always feeding the goats thier bottles. They also have a snack bar area where you can rest and for the adults you can enjoy a few complementary beers. Then across from the park they also have a stable with the famous Clydesdale's. This is a fun day for the kids.

Grant's farm is a unique experience for the whole family. There are over 1000 different species that you can watch roaming over the grounds. Best of all it's free!! Parking is $6 but it's worth the $6 six times over. The education programs and shows are also very interesting! Highly recommend this for a family outing!

Owned by the Busch family. This is Ulysses S Grant's homestead. Admission is free. There is a fee for parking. Free tour, and free beer tasting. There are lots of animals from all over the world including bald eagles! Lots of shade and tables for picnic lunches. A great free place to spend your day.

This is a great place for families to visit. Free admission into the park. There is a small fee for parking. There is a tram ride you take around the park. Do this so you can see what is available for viewing plus it will take you into parts of the park you dont walk. The walking tour is good too. You can pet camels too! The Clydesdales are on display as well.

Feeding the pigmy goats was fun. You pay for a bottle of milk for the younger ones. For the older sheep and goats you pay for a sack of feed. Everyone has fun doing this.

We visit Grant's Farm several times a year with our big family. It's free - parking is minimal - and it's lots of fun. The kids get to see all kinds of animals living "free", interact with goats and camels and elephants, and see lots of shows. The hospitality center, sposored by Anheuser Busch, is the best part - since you get two free single servings of any AB product!!! The kids eat their pretzels and icees and dad gets a cold beer in the Biergarten to end the afternoon.

Grant's Farm is basically a smaller version of a zoo filled with animals some that are endangered and some that are very exotic. The admission here is free for everyone, but the parking fee is $6. Anheuser-Busch owns the farm so you will find alcohol beverages available here. Grant's Farm is also home to the Clydesdale stables, which are some of the most beautiful animals you will see. Grant's Station and Grant's Cabin are two other things offered at Grant's Farm. I would recommend taking the train ride around the area to see all of the animals.

Inexpensive fun for the whole family. It costs $6 to park but admission is free and this includes the Tram ride through the park. We love it because you can do everything there in half a day which is just enough for small children. The shows are free too. The only thing that you will pay for is to feed the goats and camels and food. Of course since it is an Anheuser Busch sponsored attraction they give out a free sample of beer to everyone over 21 who would like one.

I have enjoyed Grants Farm since I ias little now my daughter loves it too they give you a train ride through the whole park talking about all the animals you see and the area they have a ton of animlas to look at including the clidesdale horses very cool

Even if you're not particulary fond of animals, going to Grant's Farm can be an exciting experience - its not just about feeding sheep lol but I think kids really enjoy all the different exotic animals and bird shows they put on. The workers at Grants Farm were very accomodating and one time opened in Dec. to have a special tour for a special guest.
