If you have a big dog that is a pain to load in the car, or a pet that doesn't travel well, or lack transportation, or don't want to haul the kids with you to the vet, or any of a myriad of reasons to put off vet visits, this may be your answer.

The founder of Vet on Wheels, Dr. Freed, got tired of the 7am-7pm grind of animal hospitals and instead loaded his equipment into the back of his pickup truck and took his services to his customers. When we last used him, he was servicing customers in eastern and central Baltimore County and most of Baltimore City. (Unfortunately, we moved out of his service area, so we can't use him anymore.)

Prices are competitive with "brick and mortar" vets, and you can't beat the convenience of a home visit. Don't wait til the last minute to call, however! Vet on Wheels is a one-man operation, and you may not be able to get a visit in your area right away. He does have to consider travel time and fuel use when scheduling his appointments.

Forget PetMeds... call Vet on Wheels and get the meds AND the exam brought "right to your door"!
