.

the nicest place to be at and have an event there,
it is first class all the way
owner, staff, food, parking etc
does not get any nicer than texas safari hall

if you are having an event
and you dont have it here, then its not a first class deal
in my opinion

way to go

We can only give a wonderful review on Safari Texas Ranch... We had a realy beautiful wedding, and I must say, the venue had everything to do with it... We were in the Magnolia Ballroom.... Everything was wonderful... Erika was very helpful and wonderful to work with as well as Carol.

The only disappointment was that we weren't allowed to use long candles although we were told beforehand that we were allowed to on our contract. We were not allowed to use the smokemachine that we purchased specially for the event, so I would recommend that you find out about that detail beforehand.

On the other hand, we had a miniature horse and we never told them before hand and they allowed us to use it, so they were very kind. They also allowed us to decorate over and above and the greatest thing is that they allowed us ample time to set up... That was worth more than anything... so kind of them... They even allowed us enought time to remove everything... If you have a huge event and need ample time to set up... this is the place... and they are very kind and helpful in every step.
The recommentded dj, was definately a huge dissapointment...
The food was wonderful and the signature drink and everything was great... We have a very high standard of excellence, and for us to be so happy, is great... The photographer said that it was his nicest wedding in 18 years and he has done over 2 000 weddings, so, for us to be so happy about this venue, says a lot about them... I would honestly recommend them to any one... We have been all over Houston to find the perfect venue, and once we found the Magnolia Ballroom, we immediately said... THIS IS IT... and we are truly not sorry that we chose this company and venue... We are wedding planners and would use this venue ANY TIME in the future... We are very happy with them...

With such a stressful yet important occassion, it is very difficult to make absolutely everyone happy especially the big decision makers (the bride and groom). But Safari Texas goes ABOVE and BEYOND to keep ALL of their clients happy! My husband and I had our wedding reception there, and Ashley (our wedding coordinator) far exceeded our expectations! Due to commitments outside of our control with my husband being in the military, we had to change our wedding date 2 months prior to the event. Ashley and her boss were more than accomodating. Along with instructions on party favors and decor, Ashley was fantastic with everything we asked her to do. The facility makes everything part of the decison making process very easy. With several ballrooms to choose from I am sure you will find something you will like. They offered a wide variety of menu choices, decorations, and other options which made the overall decisions much easier. Flexible and personable, we would recommend them to any of our friends and family. We are thrilled that our wedding reception was at Safari Texas, and we would book them again in a heartbeat!

We contracted with Safari Texas Ranch for our son's wedding and reception. It could not have been nicer! The kids were married at sunset outside on one of the decks and gazebos. It was simply perfect! The reception followed in the Palm Pavilion. It was beautiful. The service and the food was perfect. The staff, food, and venue exceeded our expectations. With three more children, I can asure you, we will be a frequent customer.

1. They had not set up my tables properly outside for my smokers
2. Bird poop was not sprayed off of my gazebo like I asked them to do
3. There was a wedding party outside partying while my ceremony was going on
4. My AC in the bridal room was OFF!!! I had to turn it in and wait sweating for an hour...while I was suppose to be getting ready and taking pictures...and the groomsmen didnt even have a room to get ready in they had a kitchen that had no AC! My groomsmen stunk!
5. I had 3 different wedding coordinators that obviously did not communicated what I wanted to each other!
6. My chairs were set up tooooo close to the alter so my bridesmaids had to go out there and move the chairs back a couple rows
7. They did not set up the unity candle and when they did it was in the wrong area!
8. I got none of my decorations I had lended them back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at Safari Texas in June of 2007 and everything went perfect! The staff was attentive and professional. My coordinator, Alli, was amazing. The food was delicious and I got many compliments on it. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

We held a wedding reception here in January 2004. Even though the site was beautiful and the planning staff was wonderful, towards the end of the evening, we were very disappointed to learn that the the bartender had displayed an unsightly tip jar. This embarrassing for us, especially since we had paid for the alcohol and had paid a nice tip to the staff prior to the event. After the reception, I asked my friends about the tip jar, and most told us that they thought they needed to tip the bartender in order to get a drink. We felt that the tip jar cheapened the feel of our reception! We complained to the management staff, and they apologized and said that it shouldn't have happened.
When our second daughter got married in November 2007, we decided to give the facility another chance. This time, we stressed to the management beforehand that we DID NOT want to see a tip jar, and they assured us that the previous bartender had been fired, and no tip jar would be present. A week after our reception, we heard from several guests that a tip jar was seen at different times thoughout the evening. Apparently, when my husband or I were at the bar, the bartender hid the jar, but as soon as we left, she placed it back on the bar.
Additionally, we paid a"per person" price for food and alcohol. The alcohol was supposedly unlimited. Even though many of our guests left early, and several do not drink alcohol, the facility supposedly ran out of beer around 11:00pm for a reception which was supposed to end at 12:00.
On top of everything else, at the end of the evening, when it was time to give the bride & groom their send off, we discovered that the waitstaff had thrown away all of our bubbles that we had painstakingly tied up in tulle and ribbon. Their explanation is that the waitstaff thought it was trash? How can a wedding reception facitilty not recognize that bubbles that are tied up in tulle and ribbon are not trash? When we realized that the bubbles had been thrown away, we ended up in the kitchen searching through the trash, and not a single staff person helped us with this search. So, here is the mother of the bride in formal attire and the father of the bride in his tux, searching through trash to find the bubbles that their staff had thrown away. Their waitstaff also managed to "lose" several of the favors for our reception, which were koozies.
We gave them a second chance, and unfortunately they did not live up to our expectations. What a disappointment on so many levels.

Safari Texas Ranch is an exotic game ranch. They have eight totally different facilities, each with a different theme. From the rustic Safari Lodge with animal prints and wood-hewn log walls to the elegant Texas Ballroom with a double staircase just screaming "Perfect Wedding Photo Opportunity," this facility has excellent event planning staff and great catering facilities. Prices are reasonable. Many weddings take place here as there are several cute gazebos and a quaint chapel on the grounds. The place is also perfect for corporate picnics and other special events.

PROS: Unique and Full of Ideas for your Event
