Cleveland has to be one of the better small town police departments. Working with the things they are given, and being a small force they are quick and effective. Quit complaining about every little thing. I have had numerous dealings with them and they have always been prompt and very courteous.

I don't know about the rest of the citizens here in Cleveland, but I got pulled over for doing 4 miles over the limit on Fenner St. and recieved a warning to slow down. a hour later I was on Easy St. and the local pd and Sheriff's deputies were speeding up and down that street at least
15 to 20 over the limit, this is a constant occurance, anyone who drives on Easy St knows this, and at night it is dark and I see civilians and police running at least 50 mph down the road. I have lived around Easy St for 3 yrs and as of yet have not seen one officer writing a ticket to anyone, this is unacceptable someone is gonna get hurt or even killed walking at night down that st. and cleveland pd don't seem to give a rat's a.... about it.

Well considering my truck was hit in the parking lot of the peditrians office in November and Cleveland PD still has done nothing. We had the people who hit my truck's make and model of their car and the licence plate number. Not to mention an eye witness to what happened. They had no insurance and they gave my husband false information. I mean come on how hard is it to get the police report done so I can get my truck fixed. I can honestly say I am no where near happy with the people who are supposed to "protect and serve" us. It's sad when everyday you have to worry about being pulled over for a tail light out just beacuse the officers can't get off their butts and get me the police report. I unlike the morons who hit my truck have insurance and can get my truck fixed once I get the police report!

what i got to say is this. last Sunday the 5Th of April, i was at the Cleveland Wal-Mart-mart. somebody at that store or a customer or maybe someone in the parking lot had called the Cleveland police dept and said i was walking around the parking lot looking in everybody,s vehicles and looking for something to steal. which neither is true. who ever called in on me made a false complaint and they need to mind their own business. i was not bothering anybody and i am not happy about the cops being called on me. I'm not blaming the officers they were just responding to a call. i blame who ever called. who ever it was is a liar and they need to stay out of my business. i am not a thief. i have a clean record. i never stole anything in my life. people just need to quit harassing me and leave me be.

Last night my 18 year old brother and his friend were pulled over for drunk driving, running a stop sign, and driving recklessly by a Cleveland officer. The officer let my brother call my mother to pick him up, and let his friend actually drive off in his car after FAILING the field sobriety test. Since the officer didn't bother to check them, she didn't realize they were both carrying a large amount of marijuana. She claimed all of this was because she felt sorry for them. My brother and his friend are pot heads wandering aimlessly through life, and don't care about anyone other than themselves, and this officer has only showed them that it's ok to do wrong.

This isn't the first incompetancy Cleveland's "finest" have committed. When I was in high school, a boy without a license driving a friends car smashed into my car in the parking lot. He then drove off, no where to be found. The officer on campus insisted on finishing his "dinner" before responding to this. He then told me he didn't have time to take my statement, as he was late to his child's "award ceremony." I was left at the high school alone waiting on a wrecker, without anyone taking my statement. The next day, police officer actually defended the boy that hit my car, stating that he was "exactly where he said he would be." Now I had my car smashed by a hit and run driver(without a license), and suddenly I was the bad guy. Luckily, I was able to file a report only when the chief of police stepped in and reprimanded the officer, but they still let the boy off with nothing.

Stay away from these guys.

The Cleveland Police Department while small does a great job serving and protecting the community. They take all complaints seriously, and are prompt when responding to a call. The officers there are nice especially to my children always talking, waving, and smiling to everyone. They even let little kids sit in the squad car if they ask to and show them all their gadgets. Because of them my kids now want to be police officers.
