Gabriel Brothers

I have been a shopper of Gabes stores long before they put one in this economically depressed area that is called Altoona. You can find good deals if you have the time to devote. I must say their customer service is lousy, receipts are always wrong, you ask someone that works there a question & their response is "I have no idea" & they refuse to get an answer for you. Are there employees even high school graduates? Kindergarten students could work there! You might save $ but you spend an hour searching for that bargain & spend an hour to check out, how is that beneficial? Buyer beware because they also disguise junk merchandise which should be thrown in the trash. But I guess this is what I can expect from Altoona, PA so I will drive 100+ miles to go to Gabes in a neighboring state.

Gabriel Brothers carries a wide selection of name brand clothing, shoes, housewares and more. The serious, dedicated shopper can find awesome bargains at Gabriel's but it oftentimes takes a lot of patience as many of their clothes are flawed or otherwise irregular. Their inventory changes rather quickly with new styles arriving constantly. I've found many really fantastic deals there on name brand clothing for the entire family but it's very hit or miss. While I personally enjoy shopping at Gabe's and I've found terrific deals there, I chose to only rate it a three star store mainly because I know hunting through clothes to find an unflawed shirt or pair of pants is not everyone's cup of tea. For the bargain hunter who doesn't mind investing some time in searching through the racks of clothes though, Gabriel's can be an excellent place to find great deals on brand name clothing, shoes, etc.
