Fremont Medical Centers - Childrens Clinic

My kids have been going to children's clinic for over two decades. Before Fremont aquired the practice, they were much more patient friendly. Today, their administrative/corporate bureaucracy has resulted in extended appt. scheduling, extended waiting times, and a front office staff (with their Ofc. Mgr too) too pre-occupied discussing their weekends than helping a patient. The "receptionists" are condesceningly terse. The docs are good and the older chaps--Dorway, Klatt--still possessing a sincere desire to help kids AND listen to parents who know their kids best. If you can tolerate front staff's arrogance, and you are your child's ADVOCATE, insisting on the older seasoned docs, you should have a pleasant experience but you'll get w work-out doing so!

I've been taking my son and daughter since they were born to Dr. Eugene Schnitzler. My son is 13 yrs. old now. The clinic has a well and sick room. He is the only one that calls and leaves messages just to make sure that the kids are alright. He even called over the weekend one time, and he had seen my kids 2 days prior to that. I highly recommend him, as a mother and also as a practicing RN

I have taken two of my kids to this clinic. We have always received curtious service from the entire staff. They are really busy but if you take a kind approach with them they respond very well to your quetions. I really like thier weekend hours as it can be difficult to always get there on weekdays. Dr. Baker has been attentive to our kids and to our questions.

Dr. Santos is the greatest. He's caring and very easy to talk too. You can call him up if you have a question which was great for me being a first time mom. What really one me over is when my husband and i would take our first son for vacc. Dr Santos would not only talk to me about what to expect but he would include my Husband as well. He finishes every visit with a handshake as well.

PROS: Well and sick rooms
CONS: Up front staff not always nice

I have taken all 3 of my girls to Dr. Tacvorian over a two year period. I really liked her at first but she was a little hard to understand. I really didn't feel like the kids were getting quality care. She just didn't seem to care enough. I wish I would of switched my girls to a different doctor sooner.

I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS CLINIC LAST TIME I TOOK MY SON THERE IT TOOK THEM 8 HOURS TO CALL ME AND WHEN I ASKED THEM WHY ALL THEY COULD SAY WAS THAT THEY WHERE SORRY THAT THEY HAD MISPLACED MY FILE....

I brought my two daughters here and I wasn't that impressed. It looked really dingy and dirty. My daughter was there to get shots and my daughter was freaking out and the nurse yelled at me for not holding her right. I never went back. My baby was just born when I went there and it took them 4 visits before they realized that she was allergic to the formula. I kept asking her doctor if it was the formula and he kept saying no.

Dr. Glasser is a very good doctor. She is very knowlegeable and professional, while maintaing compassion. She communicates instructions and prognosis very cleary.
She has a very good, informative website as well.

I've been taking both of my children to Fremont Children's Clinic for over 8 years. Dr. Dorway is our Dr. and is very knowledgeable and gentle with my kids. The nursing staff is also kind and gentle. The front office seems hectic at times and the people who check you in and out aren't as friendly as the Drs. and nurses. They do have a "sick" room and a "well" room which is nice when you're just there for a well-check so you're not exposed to others' illnesses.

The staff, the doctors and the physicians assistants are wonderful. This place has done nothing, but take care of my children and Dr. Klatt has been nothing, but down to earth, holistic and logical when it comes to my childrens child care.

At Fremont Childrens Clinic the doctors care about the health of your kids. The office has a well room as well as a sick room. They offer same day appointment as well as walk-ins from 7-8 am. They are also open on week ends. The doctors are wonderfull and they take time to listen to you and your kids.

We love our pediatrician! The clinic staff is very nice to childrens and parents. Appointments always available. Best thing is the urgent care hours - every day, including weekends! Who can beat that!

If your child is healthy and just in need of a vaccination, there is no reason not to go to this clinic. They accept lots of different insurance types, and the waiting rooms are well stocked with things to keep the kids busy while you wait. However, if your child is sick, go someplace else. My son had a throat infection. After treatments that didn't work including some painful shots and nasty medicine, the doctor decided to rush us off for Luekemia testing. After days of panicking, we had the pleasure of realizing that it was just a sore throat that simply went away. Our son is fine, but we really didn't need the stress. That's a big mistake to make.
