My routine mammography on 5 of January 2012 went like all the previous mammographys I have had over the past 25+ years. But this time the radiologist found something he thought was suspicious. My doctor and I did not think it was anything to worry about since ALL my previous mammograms were within normal limits. I was told to schedule a follow-up mammogram and two weeks after my doctor sent back the form it was scheduled. I was called and told that I had to pay a $45.00 co-pay. I said I did not have it and I was told that when I went in for my appointment a payment plan could be worked out.. Instead when I arrived early I was told to come back in an hour and speak to the manager; I went to have lunch and when I returned I was told that the manager was still in a conference but that she said I had to pay all or at least half of the fee. I told the person at the desk that I did not have the money and explained what was told to me over the phone. She kept repeating over and over, pay all of half of it or reschedule or cancel the appointment. I finally said CANCEL and I would like to speak to the manager. I was then told that she was still in the conference but would be free in an hour and a half IF I wanted to wait for her. I said no I was going home and I wanted her to call me. I was told she would call by the end of the day. Two weeks later she still had NOT called and I called the clinic to ask to speak to her, was told she was not available but would call me I said that if I was not called by the end of that day I would post this complaint on the website. She NEVER called me.

I've been going to the breast center since 2007. This time a very suspicious lump was in one breast. The doctor and mammogram and sonogram techs were very thorough. My doctor was Dr. Melanie O'Toole and she was obviously concerned with what she saw. She told me that if I could stay she would do the core needle biopsy I needed right then! I stayed and she did and the diagnosis came back within 5 days. The blessing of this was the minimal time in waiting and the doctor's and tech's willingness to stay late just to take care of me. I recommend this place highly

From the moment I walked in, and i was late without knowing the staff was awesome. The receptionist told me I was late but in such a nice was and told me if I didn't mind waiting a few minutes i could be squeezed in. Normally I get the your lat attitude. The lady who signed me in was also so nice even the one who walked me back. They make you feel at ease. The office is nice clean and comfty. The technician was awesome she made me feel at ease because i was scared and had gone alone. she understood my fear because my mom had passed from breast cancer and talked me through the whole way. this place from beginning to end was the best.

Enjoyed my experience due to your excellent staff. The front office staff greeted me with a smile and helpful attitude. The tech explained the procedure before we started the exam, she was gentle, and helped me to feel at ease.

Can I give 10 stars? The staff at Memorial Hermann's Southwest Breast Care Center is fantastic. They go above and beyond the call of duty, with their caring personalities, and their thorough testing and analysis. I have been to this center several times now, and I have met some of the most amazing radiologists and other various workers. Whether they're helping you to change and prepare for testing, or actually performing the tests, the people are so incredibly sincere and helpful. The ladies who work in the office area are so wonderful, as well. They understand that people visiting the office are often nervous, and they are patient and kind. I have nothing but good words for those who work there, as they have helped me through some nerve-wracking times, and have influenced me positively.
