I love Dr.Belton she is amazing that is the only reason I will continue to being my child to the apopka office. The office is old and it shows with the stained ceiling and the floors including the floor mats. I hate to look around while in there but once again I love Dr.Belton.

I went to Altamonte Pediatrics and by the end of my first appointment I was in tears (literally) and swearing NEVER to return. I scheduled and appointment in the Altamonte office with a doctor who, according to the website, specializes in behavioral issues. When I got to the appointment it was not the doctor I requested but I decided to go with it anyway. When I introduced myself and started to talk to him about what was going on with my 18 month old, he barely looked at me then sat in a chair with his back to me, (no joke) while he was flipping through the records. OH, and not to mention the doctor looked like he crawled out from unter a rock...his shirt was half tucked in half out, sleeves WAY passed his hands and so wrinkled it looked like he had slept in it for days. When he could finally be bothered with standing up to aknowledge my baby and I, he told me that I needed to wait until the end of the appointment to talk about any concerns. He wanted to do the measuring, well check and shots before he would discuss ANYTHING with me. Meanwhile my child was and had been screaming in the loudest shrill you have ever heard, the ENTIRE time I was in the office (including when he walked in). So my baby is throwing a HUGE fit, hitting me, trying to get out of the room etc. and he is acting like nothing is happening...and the MAIN concern for my visit is to discuss the behavioral issues we are having with him and check for a possible diagnosis of Autism. At that point I was just starting to suspect that maybe something wasn't right with my baby, I had some fear that his behavior matched some of the criteria for Autism but I was by no means well versed on the subject. After the doctor totally dismissed me and wouldn't even look at the paper I brought in listing the a-typical behaviors my son displayed that concerned me, I asked to see the doctor I was actually scheduled to see. The office mananger came in and rudely asked what the problem was, then proceeded to make me feel like I was being difficult (my son is STILL screaming by the way). They sent in the other doctor who was arrogant and no better than the first and Instead of talking to me about any of my concerns (or looking at the paper I brought), he handed me a flyer for an organization that works with behavioral issues and sent me on my way. I left in tears with no answers after anxiously awaiting that appointment, hoping for some small amount of validation and help with figuring out what was going on with my boy. That appointment was 7 months ago and my son has since been diagnosed with Autism.

Totally unsatisfactory. The office staff are cold and compassionless. I never see a Doctor unless I absolutely insist and then wait. They charge a fee for everything, calling your doctor after hour for medical advice for a sick child under two simply rubs me the wrong way. I love Dr. Belton, she is friendly and knowledgeable and she knows my children, we have been patients for more than five years. Problem is who ever gets to see her, every time it is someone different and they are too arrogant to listen to the invaluable information the parent is providing about the child. Not to mention the fact that 9 times out of 10 it is not a Dr. who is seeing your child. The office is clean on the surface but every bathroom smells like urine, every time. I am finished with this practice, if it weren't for Dr. Belton we would never have lasted this long.

This office is horrible My children were both diagnosed by them with RAD (reactive airway disease) They were both prescribed inhalers (albuterol) and the coughing got worse. 2 months of them not giving us anything more than lets do more breathing treatment we had enough. My eldest had a fever and I got mad for not having a diagnosis so I basically ripped into the lady and told her that if he has a fever then his body is fighting off an infection or virus and being that no one else is sick it must be an infection like upper respitory infection. She told me she would not give him the antibiotics and then when I told her we were about to have a problem that is when she decided to give us the prescription. A week later my boys were fine and havent coughed since. 2 months of that crap. We hate it as adults and they were just children. That is blatant malpractice. How is it that a person that has no medical knowledge figured out what it was when a doctor couldnt? Unfortunately the only way I can sue them is if I have 30 to 50 grand unless it is a class action. Actually if anyone has something like this feel free to email me. I will see what I can do to get a class action going against them. My email is StevenKingsEmail at aol dot com. please put in a way to contact you in the email as well as the word medical in the subject line so I wont think it is spam. Hopefully together we can keep these people from practicing medicine.

After having a bad experience with a previous pediatrician, a good friend, mom & nurse; recommended Dr. Belton. My confidence was quite shaken by this point, however, Dr. Belton's patience and attentiveness won me over. It took me a while, but I trust her %100. I am a very involved and a proactive participant, when it comes to my children & their health care. Dr. Belton understands this and treats me as such.
As for Altamonte Peds. are TERRIBLE (with the exception of a few individuals). They make everything difficult and many of the people in that office are extremely rude. Some of the doctors are arrogant & do not listen, but rather, cut you off and dictate to you what will be done. There are also a couple doctors who are friendly, but dismiss your concerns and act as though you are just a paranoid parent. Having to go through the Altamonte office for everything, has been a thorn in my side for many years. If it weren't for the fact that we love and trust Dr. Belton so much, we would have been gone a long time ago!

We have been going to Altamonte Pediatrics for 4 years now. Dr. Belton is the only reason we have been going for this long. The nursing staff and scheduling staff are horrible. I am looking for a new drs office right now.

My OB was quick to recommend not just Altamonte Pediatrics but Dr. Belton, in particular. He said he'd drive a good distance to have his children seen by her. I've felt nothing but real confidence in her. She doesn't rush you and is happy to entertain questions. She is always researching and reading up on the latest. She's patient - even with someone like me who delayed the MMR vaccine for quite some time. I do feel her admin staff (especially payment/scheduling) could use some warming up/bedside manner/people skills but I can take that if I must. It's also nice to have such a large practice behind her for emergencies. So, you get the benefits of a small office in Apopka and the perks of more doctors just up the road in Altamonte.

I got to Dr. Belton at Altamont Pediatrics branch in Apopka. She is very good with my son and I would recommend her. She spends time with us and answers any questions we have and always makes us feel comfortable.
