I had a laproscopic procedure and the doctor told me I'd be up and back to normal in 3 days. It took nearly a full week before I was able to return to work. When I called the office the nurse told me that what I was experiencing was normal. Why the difference? I was willing to overlook that, but simply couldn't get past what happened next. I made it clear to the office staff that my follow-up had to be sometime during the day so as not to interfere with my being able to pick my child up from school. Despite her rudeness, she scheduled my appointment for 9am. That would have been fine, but.... I received a voicemail informing me that the appointment was no longer available and I would have to come in at 4:45 over a month after my surgery. That also would have been fine, but was cancelled as well (via voicemail) and the staff informed me that my new appointment would be at 1:30 on a Monday. When I called to reschedule they told me I would have to wait 2 MONTHS!!!! Since I was still experiencing pain and needed stitches removed, I agreed. The morning of the appointment I called and asked if the office was fully booked because I had to make it to school that afternoon. They told me that if I arrived on time I would be seen right away. I arrived at 1pm for my 1:30 appointment. I waited as long as possible, but walked out at 2:15 without being seen. The office never even called to find out why I had disappeared. When I filled out the forms to have my records transferred to another doctor, they gave me the run around yet again. The person I spoke to on the phone hung up on me when I asked to speak to the office manager, Wow! Go somewhere else.

I was deeply saddened when we relocated to Austin, TX that I would have to leave behind my OB. I was 6 months pregnant, and had been through so much, I really wanted her to deliver my baby. But, life goes on.

I have found that with one exception, everyone at Chesapeake Women's Care is amazing. They are kind, compassionate, friendly, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. I highly, highly, highly recommend them. They are the kind of people you would want for your best friend.
Love, love, love these docs.
