4 Stars: Fish and Chips done right (by james s.)

This is a very good place, with very authentic fish and chips. The food is great, but you had better not eat here every night unless you are simply not worried about cholesterol. I like how they have many different types of fish to choose from for your fish and chips. Mmmmm.

5 Stars: We're long-time regulars (by Wendy S.)

The Chip Shop is a staple in our lives for a few reasons:

1. It's my daughter's favorite restaurant in all of Park Slope
2. It's extremely accommodating to families
3. The food is consistently terrific. I love the fish and chips, but the mac n cheese dishes are great, as are the baked beans. And don't even get me started on the fried desserts. We don't order those too much but when we do, it's a treat.

The only thing I can complain about is that the food doesn't travel well for delivery. It is better served piping hot from the kitchen. We have been disappointed with our delivery orders so we only eat in the restaurant.

5 Stars: Just like being in London...except you're not. (by Abby P.)

As an ex-Londoner, I was skeptical about the Chip Shop. Well, put me in my place - it was great. Authentic food, great chips, and the puddings are gorgeous. The decor is cheesy, but the food more than made up for that.

5 Stars: Another Brooklyn Secret - Spotted Dick and Fried Twinkies (by Marlene M.)

If you have not gone to the chip shop, then you must go! They have great fried cod and fries which you place vinegar on and enjoy. After dinner, you must try one of their dessert specialties. They have spotted dick or fried twinkies. If you live in Park Slope, they will deliver you food and drive you in an authentic Mini Cooper which is cool in itself. The people who work at this joint are so cool and you can just talk to them and relax. Ok people, go there, but when I come, make sure you leave me a table open, ok?

PROS: everything about this place is incredible - the people, the workers, etc
CONS: Nothing - it's perfect.
