Reviews for Mitsuwa Marketplace

Ratings_icons Mitsuwa Marketplace is great

You can find everything readily at this market. We always get the ramen when they are on sale. They rarely run out of everything. The vegetables and fruit are always fresh. Fun place to shop, reminds of Japan (Natsukashi. : )

Great selection of Japanese groceries. I like the quality of the fruits and vegetables. A little pricey, but I think it's worth it. For added convenience, there is a food court in the complex.

Ratings_icons Mitsuwa Marketplace has everything Japanese

The place to go for Japanese food, groceries, sake, beer, mochi, as well as a nice selection of dishes, cookers, the all important rice-cooker and more. You will find everything you are looking for somewhere in the Marketplace. Parking can be a little tight, but be patient.

Mitsuwa always has great stuff for me to buy, like the food from the marketplace like fresh bentos, an assortment of onigiris, rice, etc. They also serve good food at the food court area, and I often get the katsudon. Delicious stuff!

I love Mitsuwa! A japanese friend of mine used to buy used mangas from there and I ended up completing my rurouni kenshin manga collection. I also found a whole bunch of j-rock cd's of artists i really like. I so hope they still sell Ramune in their supermarket.

Ratings_icons Great Japanese Market

I love going to Mitsuwa. They have almost anything Japanese food-wise that I would need when I go grocery shopping. I have been shopping at this Mitsuwa since they built it. Also in the plaza they have a great food court and lots of little shops!

the food court is the best. They have authentic Japanese food at cheap prices. Stop by the bakery to get ja pan( bread made japanese style). The only downside; grocery is expensive and most food places only accept cash.

We often go to Mitsuwa to pickup sushi grade fish when we make sushi at home. The fish is always fresh and very tasty. Just had lunch at one of their food stalls - the tempura was delicious and the sashimi was fresh - all at a good price. Would recommend.

I always enjoy visiting this market. The variety is good.

Their clerks are very helpful and knowledgeable, and the selection is not all extra pricey.

There are small "fast-food" booths and tables inside in case you have the opportunity to buy lunch!.

Unlike Marukai, this supermarket is free (no annual membership!) The aisles were clean, it's always very well stocked and the sales are pretty good. They also have extra 10% off for seniors on Monday-Wednesdays. The big food court area has freshly made Japanese food. It's always pretty busy during lunch time.

PROS: No membership

Mitsuwa is the largest Japanese grocery store in Torrance. There is another one in Santa Monica but that one is much smaller and have less selections. This place comes with a huge food court that serves authentic Japanese food for a quick stop as well as a bakery, suvenior shop, a cosmetic department that sells Shiseido, cell phone store, book store, video store, bank, travel agency and an electronics/ceramic shop.

A grocery store which caters to a Japanese expatriate clientele. The products they stock are pricey, but a wide variety of Japanese food stuffs keep regulars coming back. Also at this site are a Japanese bookstore, a small food court, and other businesses.
