I made an a appointment to see Dr. Mathew Gordon for a consultation for an implant. When I came into the office I came with my 76 year old mother for support on having an implant done, his office told me the base price was $2,000 with out sedation or numbing. When I saw him in his office, he told me with numbing, it would cost me $2,200 and if sedation is needed $2,580. I made an appointment to have the implant done. I received a phone call from Karty in the office and she confirmed the prices. The day I came in for surgery on July 17, 2014,I brought my 76 year old mother with me. I was a nervous wreck because I was about to go under the knife, the office made me sign some papers in the front. By the time, I got to the back into the examination room, Dr. Mathew Gordon wanted me sedated and a medical assistant brought me more papers to sign. I was so nervous the day of the surgery, I just signed it. I came home to heal after the surgery and weeks later I notice the bill was not the amount that was discussed in the office, on the phone, and with the doctor. I came to talk to them and I brought my 76 year old mother with me and told them that they have over charged me. I was charged $3,445.00 with sedation. I spoke to Dr. Mathew Gordon about this first, he did not want to talk to me, instead what he did was bring in Karty and she started to yell at me and my 76 year old mother in the examination and demanded we had to pay the bill, but I told her this is not what we discussed. After she left, Dr. Mathew Gordon came back in and yelled at me and my 76 year old mother some more and told us we had to pay the bill regard what is discussed. I was in shocked at the treatment that I received in this office and from the doctor. The price was incorrect on the bill and all I wanted to do was to discuss that they have overcharged me. Instead, they yelled at me and my mother like we were dogs. I m disguised with Karty, who yelled at me and a 76 year old woman. I wonder how she would feels if someone cheated her out of her money and then yells at her and her mother. They behaved like people in a fish market. This doctor and his office staff cheated us out of our money. No wonder they moved from San Antonio to Austin. They are running away from their past. Well, what COMES AROUND, GOES AROUND. The price was incorrect and the doctor and his office cheated us. THEIR PAST WILL CATCH UP TO THEM. I FOUND DR. MATHEW C. GORDON BIRTH YEAR ON THE DENTAL EXAMINATION BOARD OF TEXAS. HE WAS BORN IN 1965, THE YEAR OF THE SNAKE. THIS IS THE SERPENT IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN, SATAN. SATAN IS IN THEIR OFFICE. GOD HAS EYES AND SEES ALL AND HE WILL DEAL WITH THE INJUSTICE AND EVIL DONE TO ME AND MY MOTHER. LIKE IT SAYS IN THE BIBLE RISE YOUR HANDS TO THE GREAT LORD AND HE WILL DEAL WITH ALL THE INJUSTICES AND EVIL THAT WAS DONE TO YOU BY SATAN. THANK YOU LORD AND AMEN!

I had an accidental fall and suffered a broken jaw when I landed on a child's toy on the floor. There is no jaw specialist in my town so 4 long days later I was able to get in to see this fellow. The only thing of any value from this doctor was discovering that my jaw was actually broken in two places on the Panoramic X-Ray he ordered.

Dr. Gordon was exceptionally cold and seemed primarily interested in discouraging me from having any sort of remedial work performed. When I inquired about possibly having my jaw wired shut to be sure it healed properly, He told me that he could take me over to the hospital and cut my face open, cut it under the chin and put metal brackets on the bones. He was also sure to inform me that he surely couldn't guarantee any sort of successful result. During my initial visit he never looked inside my mouth or bothered to touch my face to feel the broken bones. He was exceptionally rude and aloof towards me on this visit. I don't really know why, but I did return for a follow up and on my second visit I was having a lot of pain from a canker sore that had formed inside my mouth at the site of the injury on the left side of my face. There was a large lump there and the skin on the other side of my face was drawn in. He told me the lump was normal and would go away in 4 to 6 months. I am 77 years old and he was totally without any compassion. When I asked if he had anything for the canker sore, he said no he didn't have anything like that around there. I was suffering terrible pain from the still broken jaw and asked if he could prescribe anything for the pain and he suggest tylenol or advil. I wisely called and cancelled my 3rd visit. I guess this must have angered him because he called me at home the day after I had cancelled my appointment and began screaming at me, suggested that I was angry because I wanted drugs, and screamed that he was just a Jackass. He did scream that he was sorry about 15 times, but after about 20 minutes of his ranting, I finally just hung up the phone. I have been a nurse for over 40 years and have never seen a doctor behave in anything close to this manner. I went to Houston at my son's recommendation and he and his wife took me to their personal doctor that has done several dental implants for his wife. As soon as their doctor saw me he could tell that my jaw was not lined up properly and was not healing. The lump that Dr. Gordon had told me would go away in 4 to 6 months was actually the bone sticking out and this is what had been causing the canker sore in my mouth. I will have to have reconstructive surgery to get this fixed, but it certainly will not be with Dr. Gordon.

I took my friend to Dr. Gordon for emergency treatment following a sports injury. He worked her into his busy schedule, and I was amazed at the compassion that Dr. Gordon and his amazing staff showed to my friend. She was very nervous, but he was able to calm her with his impeccable bedside manner. Perhaps even more amazing than the professional manner in which Dr. Gordon calmed her fears, was the skillful way in which he treated her injury. She had a very short healing period, and I must say, she looks beautiful! I can't even tell she ever had an injury! My friend and I will be forever grateful for the way he took care of us. If I or any of my friends or family ever need the services of an oral surgeon, we will go to Dr. Gordon. THANK YOU DR. GORDON!!!

Dr. Gordon extracted a tooth from the back, bottom right of my mouth last Friday. It was a hard one, conveniently located in the heart of a nerve there. His office fit me in their very busy schedule last minute. I am self-pay and they were very accommodating to my needs. His exam room was filled with great TX themed nostalgia that showed his great taste and made me feel right at home. He was gentle, thorough, and It was like nothing even happened the next day. A few days later, unfortunately, I had an infection develop. His office saw me immediately and took great care of me. It happened to occur in the weekend and Dr. Gordon even selflessly went above and beyond the call of duty and came in on a Sunday to provide me with follow-up care. I couldn't have asked for a more dedicated, considerate Doctor. From the staff at the front desk to the dental assistants, everyone was polite, professional and happy to be there working. I was more than pleased with your service.Thank you LoneStar OMS

I went to Dr. Gordon several years ago for lipo on my chin and loved the results. Have gone back to him on several occasions for other procedures. I've even wanted procedures done that he said I didn't need (ex., botox), so he said no because it was a waste of money! He is also very patient because I'm a wimp when it comes to needles. I've recommended him to several of my friends and they have all been very satisfied and would go to him again.

I was referred to Dr. Gordon about a year ago, and it was the worst experience of my life. The doctor's office was fine, but the oral surgery was a different story. I had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted, and only 2 were supposed to be removed at that time. Immediately after coming out of anesthesia I was in pain, crying. The person that was there to pick me up even heard me from the waiting area crying. At this time he was shoving a needle in mouth, and man handling my face trying to numb it. I had sutures across my palate as though he had made a mistake and cut me. After the surgery, I went home and that night the pain was unbearable, and continued to be so for about 2 weeks. Every time I called him he did not seem concerned at all, he was pumping me with pain meds that were ineffective,I even went to the emergency room because the pain was so bad, which he was so totally against. I thought it was dry socket, but he examined me and said that it wasn't, so where was this pain coming from. I will never go back to him again, and I wouldn't send my worst enemy to him! That was by far the worst experience I had in my life, no compassion at all. To this day I have scarring on my palate where the sutures were and where he evidently cut out a chunk of it, I don't know how he's in practice. I'd rather slam my hand in a door 10 times before I let him perform surgery on me again!!

Having put off the routine rite of passage of wisdom teeth removal, I was referred to Dr. Gordon by a close friend who had seen him. He was very reassuring and helpful during my consultation visit and within a week I went in for my surgery. He was marvelous! I don't remember anything from the surgery and to top it all off it was done in only 30 minutes (all four wisdom teeth plus two second molars= 6 teeth pulled). He even called later that day to see how I was doing, and from his personal phone! I would recommend Dr. Gordon to absolutely anyone looking for a champion surgeon! His team was congenial and supportive from start to finish. Thanks Dr. Mat&company!

I went in last week for a routine extraction of wisdom teeth, I endured two minor complications post surgery, with the help of Dr. Gordon and his staff I was well on my way towards speedy recovery. The surgery itself was a dream! I don't remember anything except wanting to have kept my removed teeth. Dr. Gordon is a mercurial man of medicine, he will be with you every step of the way for any procedure no matter it's popularity or difficulty. You will never feel as though you are squandering time with him. His manner is fine and attune to meticulous detail. He is an expert in the art of healing!

I was referred to Dr. Gordon by my insurance company. I decided to look him up on the internet and found one review. The review was good, so I made an appointment to see him. I went in on a Tuesday for a consultation and was scheduled for surgery the next day. I was getting my wisdom teeth removed (all four). I was put under, but woke up during the surgery, where I was in extreme pain. I was crying and screaming due to the harsh way Dr. Gordon handled me. He actually had the nerve to tell me while pulling the last tooth out, "do you have to scream, you're going to scare the other patients? but I couldn't help it- I was in a lot of pain. I can honestly say Dr. Gordon lacks bed side manner. The nurse kept telling me, ??you were asleep? but the thing is, I wasn??t! When my eyes opened and filled up with tears, I was completely awake and in pain. It took 6 hours for me to finally get rest, but I was in severe pain for at least 3 days after- unable to sleep well, unable to eat. The pain continued for two weeks after surgery- I still can??t open my mouth completely. Now, I understand some teeth are harder to get out, but there??s no excuse for BAD bed side manner. I felt like I went to a butcher, worst experience of my life!!

My daughter was born with fatty tissue on the end of her tongue. Our Pediatrician and our Ear, Nose andThroat Dr, both recommended we meet with Dr. Gordon to discuss our options. When Madeleine was 5 1/2 months old he looked at her tongue, assessed it was nothing to worry about just fatty tissue deposits. He said we could have it removed or leave it. We opted to have it removed sooner than later. The procedure was over in 15 minutes, done in his office, he was professional and patient with our new parent nerves, and great with Madeleine. She was fine in a couple of days and didn't cry when we went in for out follow-up, he was that good to her!
