I had an eye exam and purchased a full set of eye glasses from this Pearle Vision store in early Sept 09. I went back to the in July of 10 after I noticed that the designer frames I had purchased , the finished was starting to come off. These frames were very pricey! I wear my glasses all the time except when I sleep! They have lined bifocals and are photo gray and work well in the sun. The owner/ optician started to question me like he didn't believe I was telling him the truth. He stated things like" well, there looks like theres blood on it", which in fact was a discoloration of the frame, He asked me twice! if I wore clip-ons! First of all, I would not be caught wearing clip-ons, second of all the glasses had photo gray!!!! And besides the fact I answered his question the first time he asked it!! He stated he would sell me a new frame for 50 % off then he said he could do 75 %. At which point I ask him how much the frame was , he threw up his hands and said " I don't know ! I would have to look it up!" At which point he moved on to the next customer. I had waited my turn , and felt we were not done, yet he picked up the person that was after me , his glasses and started to work on them.
I picked up my glasses and started to walk out, and he yelled as I was walking out "if I had the for free I would give you them for free!" Now that is rude, unprofessional, and extremely pompous! He has a sign in his office that states he offers " Service after the Sale" I believe he ought to take that sign down I am reporting him to the BBB, Pearle Vision Headquarters, and the Perry Ellis Eye Glass frame Co. . And obviously I would not recommend his business to anyone.
