We did not get tickets for the studio tour because we got here too late int he day. We went into the gift shop (very large) and made some great purchases. Any show n NBC is represented in this sore. My youngest daughter even bought a bag of shiny rocks....

You get to see the sets of somer of your favorite NBC shows. I saw the set of saturday night live and learned about how it is taped. If you are a part of the audience of saturday night live you actually miss parts of the show since there are several parts of the stage that can't be seen from each seat. We also got to see the conan o'brien studio and today show set. Good experience overall.

If you're looking for something specific to NBC, this is a good store to try. They could have a much better selection, though. But go here if you want to find a good souvenir instead of something cheap that won't last the plane trip home. They have lots to choose from, and it's just a cool experience overall.

This store has all sorts of fun items for you or for the sitcom lover in your family. Besides t-shirts, there are books, pencils, postcards, sweatpants, etc, all carrying the favorite sayings from your favorite show. If you take the NBC tour, they will even give you a discount in this gift shop. It looks a bit much and corny when you see all these items, but for gifts, they are always a big hit!

It is actually fun to walk into the NBC store and look around once, but there's really nothing anyone would really want to buy. $13 mugs, $30 t-shirts with a huge picture of Screech from Saved by the Bell, and other similar tools to make the average tourist look like a walking TV advertisement are all there. Skip the store and get tickets to Conan O'Brien.
PROS: You can say you've been there

Though marketed as a veritable tourist attraction, the NBC Studio store is just another chintzy tourist trap in Midtown, albeit with a much prettier face. The store captures your eye at first with its various tv screens neon lights and memorbilia, but once you get past the glitz there isn't much there. just a bunch of cheesy T-shirts you'd never be caught wearing in the city, and sundry useless merchandise.
