Slainte (pronounced Slan-Chuh) is a great Irish pub on Bowery between Houston and Bleeker. It has a great selection of beers, and Irish accents can be heard all around. My favorite beer that they have on tap is Hefeweizen--an unfiltered wheat beer-- $5 for a 20 oz. pint. But if you don't like it, you're likely to enjoy one of their other 14 beers on tap. Give this bar a try, you won't regret it.
