I've been going to Roger's since he was on 34th street. Great prices, nice people, friendly atmosphere. If the don't have what you want, they're happy to order it for you.
Also, how many comic book store owners speak French

I went to Roger's Time Machine at the end of last April and I found it was a great place.
We were 3 french friends with a list of many old titles to find and he helped us so much finding them, speaking french with us.
We loved our visit there and we'll advice this place to all our friends coming to NY and we hope to come back one day.
And I don't agree also with the first comment. I'm a girl and I was welcome and Roger has been very nice with me and my friends.
If you're looking for backissues, don't hesitate, go there ! :)

The title says it all. This shop was recommemded to my by locals as THE shop to visit looking for interesting Golden Age comics, and I wasn't disappointed.
BTW, pay no heed to the first review below. Roger is very nice and my girlfriend was MORE than welcome and happy to be there. My girlfriend is French and Roger even spoke some of the language...very impressed!
I'll return to the shop every time i visit NYC.

They seem to have many older editions available here, that you wouldn't find at any other comic book stores. The place is rather small, so you'll pretty much be done in about 10-15 minutes. Most of the good stuff is catalogued away, so definitely ask the guy there to see if they have it in stock. They also sell some collectible cards as well if you're looking for that sort of thing.

Roger's isn't worth going if you're looking for anything new, but it's a great place for older or vintage books. If you're looking for something very hard to find, he usually either has it or can find a way to get it, and he'll offer you great deals and prices.

This is a quintissential small comic book shop, crammed into the second floor space of a building. The shop isn't that large, and reeks a bit of too many hours spent over vintage Fantastic Four comics, and they don't have a whole lot in the way of Graphic Novels, tending more toward the cartons full of old individual issues of comics. Roger is a bit creepy as well, so I wouldn't drag a girlfriend along.
