This place has a plethora of comics. It is 2 floors of pure comic heaven. This is the place to come first when you want to find almost anything and everything that is in the market now, or even for back issues when your in NYC. Just so many selections. They also have collectible toys, you'll find mangs, magazines also. The staff is very helpful in helping you find what you need, and it is always crowded in the store.

Two levels of comics and comics related toys are available here at Midtown Comics. I think they carry just about everything new that comes out from the comics industry. They also have an excellent selection of older comics. The service is excellent and they are open seven days a week. The upper level carries lots of toys, lunch boxes and statues.
PROS: They do everything well
CONS: None

Despite the large sign on the corner this store is easy to miss. Walk down the block to you see the Comics sign and go up the stairs. Once inside you will see a plethora of comics from all genres. Don't get the owner started talking about comics or you may never leave the shop.

Midtown is the best place to go for comics in Manhattan, and they have a great location. Their friendly staff will help you find anything you need in their wide selection, and they offer good prices and discounts as well.

This is sort of the Sam's Club of Comic books stores in New York city. As they proudly claim, they carry every trade paperback, graphic novel, and manga in print. As a result it has a heavy, warehousey feel to the place, and is less homey than say Roger's Time Machine and less spectacle than Forbidden PLanet. They also don't have much in the way of vintage comics or backstock. But hey, everything is discounted and the selection is phenomenal.
