The Argosy Book Store is 3 floors of great books. Tens of thousands of out of print books line the shelves. The staff are all literary bugs and can help you find almost anything. They also have a really nice print/map department and for not a lot of money you can acquire a nice old objet d'art to frame and use to decorate your home.

The Argosy Book Store is 4 stories of great books and prints all cobbled together in an old building across from Central Park. They have tens of thousands of out of print books and are not as stuffy as some book sellers but not a wild mess like The Strand either. They manage to tread a fine line between the two points which makes shopping fun. They also have some autographs and some very nice prints. An excellent place to shop and since they've been selling books for over 75 years you know they are doing something right.

The Argosy Book Store is a multi storied monument to the printed word. They have a tremendous inventory of first editions, autographs, prints and other out of print books. You can easily spend a few hours here just browsing and slowly building a pile of books that you'll want to take with you. Great service, great books.

This is a really good book store. It's been around for years. They have a bargain bin outside where you can find reallly good deals if you search long enough. The staff is very friendly. They have a lot of old books with that are hard to find or out of print. Definitely recommend stopping by.

Argosy Book Store has the stepped into a time machine feel. Lots of great old prints line the walls and they have shelf after shelf of rare and out of print books many of which are first editions.

This a is a well stocked used bookstore on the drowsy Eastside that distinguishes itself with its very old and beautiful arcitecture and interior. It feels a bit like that old library from Indiana Jones. Very peaceful and quiet, it's a good place to relax and it's also one of the only good bookstores on the East side to my knowledge. They also have a healthy foreign language section that most bookstoers don't bother with.
