I went there this past summer for my brother's 6th birthday party. It was super fun and everyone in the family had a great time. It totally met my expectations. I love going to disneyland, and having an extra theme park there just makes it something more to look forward to. I would totally recommend it to any and all my friends and the rest of my family!
It might not have the powerhouses such as the Space Mountain or Indiana Jones but it does still hold the Disney feel. With rides like Soarin' and the Tower of Terror its prety difficult to get bored here. Also with the remodling of it in the next few years i expect it to be even more enjoyable.
Disney's California Adventure is a much smaller property than Disneyland, but is clean and well maintained. The roller coaster is the star of this side of the resort, but be sure to try out Soaring Over California for a unique experience. Most of the rides here are designed for the older children and adults; however, there is a section for the youngsters. Just like Disneyland, California Adventure offers the free fast pass to cut down on line wait time. The only negative is that you'll probably be ready to leave sooner than you think due to fewer number of rides. That also means fewer people.
California Adventure is like the original beach broadwalk - they have the rides and game you would find on the broadwalk - they have a special section for the little ones - they have some great shows - they have a great Hollywood section - there is a great section that is like being in the mountains - a lot of shops - the best rides are: Soaring Over California and the Haunted Hotel -Love all that is Disney - great time - staff is friendly and helpful.
Though home to the spectacular Tower of Terror hotel and the best roller coaster ever (the mickey mouse ears one) it still can't take Disneyland's classic image. It's got great arcade games and shows for the kids, and has huge coasters for the thrill lovers. I recommend "Soaring over california" for those who don't like roller coasters so much. California Adventure has GREAT atmosphere and is home to many awesome memories. The lines can be really long at night, so try getting the fast passes
PROS: open late, nearby hotels, beautiful theatre, nice weather and staff
CONS: long lines, crowded, expensive!
I love this roller coaster. California Adventure has the longest and best roller coaster I have ever been on. The lines aren't as long as at California Adventure as they are at Disneyland and the price is almost the same.
PROS: Better Prices and better lines...
CONS: Kinda small.
Adjacent to the original Disneyland Park, this new 55 acres named Disney's California Adventure was inspired by the fun, diversity and the pioneering spirit of the Golden State. Don't buy a single theme park ticket. Get a "park-hopper" which allows you to visit Disneyland and CA Adventure with unlimited in-and-out priviledges. Pretty fun.
Disneyland is still my favorite, but I like DCA also. There are more shows at this park, and there is an area in the back that for some reasons always makes me feel like I'm attending a small town's Carnival (not in a bad way! I just think the rides are not as cool as Disneyland's).
Condor Flat, I think that's what the ride is called, is the best ride here at DCA. It basically makes you feel like you are flying over California. It ends with watching fireworks at Disneyland of course.
It's definetly a nice place to visit, but if you have to choose between Disneyland and DCA, I would rather spend the day at Disneyland. There are more things to do.
This amusement park, located right next to Disneyland, has more attractions that might be interesting for adults (still family friendly of course). The rides are a bit more wild, and the experience is a little less "cutesy" than Disneyland. For tourists, you should probably plan one day in each of the parks and buy some combo ticket if possible.
California Adventure Park is a new establishment of Disneyland. It features Hollywood Pictures Backlot, A Bugs Life, Paradise Pier, Condor Flats, and Sunshine Plaza. In Hollywood Pictures Backlot, experience the thrill of the Twilight Zone. In A Bugs Life, find out what it feels like to be a bug. In Paradise Pier, get ready to scream on the California Screaming Rollercoaster. In Condor Flats, soar over California and view all the wonderful sites around this incredible state. In Sunshine Plaza, ride the Orange Swing and experience what it feels like to fly high in the sky. California Adventure Park is an amusement park where you can tons of fun like riding in elevator or even drop 100 feet from the air. This amusement park attracts many children and adults.
If you have one day, go to Disneyland. If you have two days or more to spend in Anaheim, then CA Adventure is worth a day. I think Disneyland is the better park (more to do there), but CA Adventure has some good rides. Don't miss the water ride (be prepared to get wet), Soarin' Over California, and California Screamin'. The Ferris Wheel is also a lot of fun. If you have really young kids, you'll find more for them to do at Disneyland than at CA Adventure.
California Adventure is not Disneyland (I know what you're thinking...'duh'). But seriously, this park is no different than any other amusement park. Disneyland is Disneyland. It has made a name for itself. This park hasn't. Admission is way too overpriced, the food is disgusting, and even though this park isn't quite as crowded as Disneyland, it can still get pretty crowded. The rides here are pretty great, I must admit.
Disney's California Adventure is a place for fun for all age group persons. It's very exciting to go there and take the ride, the ticket prices are ok and the food is good, I really love the food provided there. I enjoy visiting them 4-5 times per year. I recommand the Disney's California Adventure to everyone who are going to visit the SoCal in near future and want to make their vacations enjoyable and exciting. Their parking facilities are also world class and you will never find any trouble there.
that's right. disney did it again. the shows are just fantastic. esp the aladdin show. you should be able to finish the whole park in like a day. it's not that big. but all the rides are nice. i loved soaring thru california(?) the best. got tired of disney? try disney california adventure.
This park is a terrific addition to the Disney Theme Parks. It has a wonderful kid section with the theme revolving around "a Bugs Life". The rides are adorable, and the 3 D show is fantastic. The lines are shorter than Disneland, but the price isnt any cheaper. If you get a Park Hopper ticket, you will definitely be glad you checked this park out.
