All the good stores/attractions are gone

10 years ago, I wouldn't hesitate to give this place a glowing review.
But times change.
This place used to be great because it had a Virgin Megastore, an FAQ Schwarz with a Star Wars animatronic-themed attraction, an awesome 3D motion ride, and a Planet Hollywood restaurant.
Of these awesome things, only Planet Hollywood remains. And even they never update their props on display or have outdoor easy access to the restaurant.
What's left here? Practically nothing but clothing stores. The few stores that aren't clothing stores are ones that sell stupid novelty items or ridiculously-overpriced merchandise. Everyday people paid good money for their Vegas vacation - have more stores where they can actually afford stuff!
I can't give the place an outright 1-star rating because of the architecture of the mall. This is what pretty much every other upscale shopping development in Vegas and many other resorts have been copying for over a decade. The animatronic shows and fountains are also interesting, and provide a pleasant diversion from an otherwise-disappointing experience.
Don't bother going to this place unless you happen to end up in the area. There are other, more traditional malls in the valley that appeal to everyday people. Too much of this place is upscale stuff the average joe can't afford, and there are too many clothing stores. Shop elsewhere.

This place was truly an experience quite set apart from your typical mall. It's massive architecture and fountains were stunning. It has the Roman motif as you would expect with the ceiling painted like the sky so you feel you are walking outside in the streets of Rome. We discovered FAO Schwarz with a 47-foot Trojan Horse replica at the entrance. This is the FAO Schwarz where the piano scene from Big was filmed. We mainly went to see the animatronic statues of Roman gods show that plays hourly. On the backside of the show is an aquarium. They have a lot of upscale stores which was too rich for my blood, but it was a really fun free thing to do while in Las Vegas.

These businesses think that because the shops are in a huge casino they can get away with high way robbery - WRONG. Compare these prices to fair market value and you will see it is overly priced. Shops are nice, just do your homework.

This place was amazing. If you did nothing but look at the architecture, it would be worth going. This place seems to go on forever. You have to go see the moving statues!

Shopping even for those who don't love to shop
by Anonymous
These shops are really unique, so even for guys like me who don't love shopping, it's a nice place to walk around and spend an afternoon. So many different types of stores - from art galleries to souvenirs and more. Ceiling is like the sky, and statues are everywhere. Very unique place to shop.

So many shopping choices!
by Anonymous
For the big spender or the skimper, you'll find something in these forum shops. Most are on the higher end, but a few have memorabilia type merchandise if you're looking to spend less while visiting Vegas. Hustling at all hours, these shops are magnificent. There are even statues and a sky-painted ceiling. Half of the fun is experiencing the unique decor of the shopping areas!

This place is for the girls that get a sucker for a day or for families that want to see a HUGE colorful aquarium and ridicilously expensive stuff. Of course places like Guess and Bebe are still pretty good for your own account. They also have a moving statue show.

There are so many shops located here that offer unique gifts. They are open from noon unyil midnight daily and they are centrally located on the strip in Las Vegas inside Caesars. They have many designer stores, nationwide stores and some unique stores. Be sure and visit West of Santa Fe and when you need a break from shopping, be sure to watch the ceilings (yes, they change from night to day every half hour). Pay attention to the statues because they actually move.

This is a must see it is a truly amazing place especially when one considers the structure and everything was so amazing. There is a changing color sky on the top of the roof. In this shopping center, you can also see the Roman God sculpture such as, Hermes, Aphrodite, etc. A must visit for everyone>>>

Wow. What a place. Beautiful stores and resteraunts. However, a fortune might not be enough money in this place. High end shops seem to be the rule. Don't be looking for a walmart or 99 cent store here.

When in Rome

You could forget you aren't in Italy easily when you are strolling through the Forum Shops, which are adjacent to Caesar's Palace Hotel. One end of the mall leads directly into the casino while the other has a separate and direct entrance from Las Vegas Blvd. Roman streets and scenery are simulated and the "sky" appears to be very realistic -- so much so that many of the restaurants allow you to eat "outside" because they have a patio roped off. It actually feels as though you ARE outside. I love to wander through this mall because, while there are several very upscale clothing shops, there are also many stores with artifacts and kitsch that really makes it fun to browse. This is NOT a run of the mill mall which is anchored by a big store. They also have recently added a phase III which is supposed to be outstanding. I haven't seen that, but I hear it is worth it to go just for that.
PROS: Unique and elegant
CONS: very very expensive
