All i have to say is the following: I had a few family members go to this place with friends after church and upon receiving their meal and starting to eat there were roaches crawling all over the table. Unless you enjoy having these

I visited this restaurant twice. Food there is ok, but the owner is horrible...doesn't know how to deal with the customer. Their service sucks. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you want a friendly place to eat, just avoid

The food is great, went there once at it's new location HWY 6, delicious! I have been to about 99% of the Indian restaurants in Houston and I enjoy trying them out, also I have eaten over 1000 different places worldwide and love great food and great service, the balance is important for a successful experience.

However, regardless of the food service, honesty, and loyalty is another aspect of business where this place had none of. A wedding took place there and the service was poor, setup was not done correctly, and the set of parents who paid for the wedding were over charged by over $1000 (or somewhere in that ballpark) due to an incorrect count on the restaurant's part. They claimed they had to prepare more food for that number but it was a BUFFETT so the food should have been infinite - apparently not. The restaurant stands on their ground and DOES NOT provide customer support, isn't loyal, or honest...food is great but everything else is the worst in it's class (the owners and managers). (This place is so dishonest, I guarantee if you brought up this situation or a few others they would deny it completely.) Use you judgment when you go, but as I?m sure you agree no business should ever treat a party (or wedding) like that - BEWARE!

Pros: Nice design, and ambience, great food, but othes are better

Cons: service from the restaurant, rude waiter, stood behind me as I wrote in the tip, cheap chairs in the party hall, dirty glasses too, spots all over them

This restaurant is fairly new. It is very clean and spacious. They offer a lunch buffet which is popular amongst the working people, but the location is not very good in my opinion. The prices are the same as other Indian restaurants. The food is very good and fresh every time.

A favorite of ours for lunch for many years. The proprieter is great, if there's something not on the buffet he knows we like (like goat curry) he'll bring a dish out for us. Homey atmosphere, excellent food. Wonderful desserts.

The Maharajah is a gem of a restaurant-- the food here is delicious and the quality is consistent. I'm talking about masala tea to die for, beautiful saag paneer, superb samosas, buttery malai koftas-- everything in fact is top notch; this place is one of Houston's best kept restaurant secrets. If you are a passionate fan of Indian cuisine (as am I) then you must try this place-- you will not be disappointed. If you are a first-timer then this is the place to go to find out what the fuss is all about.
