Best Indian food in the area. Lunch buffet is the best. Great vegetarian and chicken items! Mango ice cream is a great way to finish.

This is one of my favorite places to go out with my husband for our date nights. Its not expensive but you feel like you are really having a treat. The wait staff is very attentive and strive to make your visit great! I recommend the butter chicken. It is so good you will be coming back for more.

For delicious Indian food, Saffron's cannot be beat. Their lunch special is extraordinary and their dinner specials are divine. The knowledge of their staff is less than outstanding though. My son cannot have nuts and they could not answer questions about what was in their food - bringing me a dessert for him with nuts in it that could have sent us to the ER had the chef not come out and said something.

That said, if you don't have any food restrictions, you won't find better Indian food in Greensboro!

That sums it up. I never had Indian before going here. I have been to the lunch buffet many times now. I am addicted. The food is amazing and the prices are affordable. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff is friendly.

During the day they have a popular lunch buffet, if you aren't used to indian food this is a great time to come and experiment with their different flavors! From my experience with indian food they shy away from being "hot" and focus more on flavors. The sauces are so creamy and yummy!

As a vegetarian myself I really appreciate their Vegetable Thali on their dinner menu (there is a meat version as well) where for around $15 my husband and I can have a meal for two, complete with a simple appetizer, and finishing with a light dessert.

Try the their Lassi, which is similar to a frozen yogurt drink with your choice of flavors, yum!

I have been to Saffron twice sine I moved to Greensboro a couple of months ago. First time I went for dinner, the food was good and tasty but not unique in any way. The service was a little too aggressive but all in all it was a good experience.

Two weeks ago , I went with my co-workers there for their lunch Buffet and I absolutely loved it! Saffron by far has the best Indian Buffet I have ever been to ( and I have been to MANY). The food is delicious, very clean and organized not messy as it gets in other Indian buffets. There was a large variety of dishes and it was all presented really and looked appetizing. The wait staff was quick but not pushy during lunch and it was a very reasonable cost, for three of us we paid 25 dollars and left very full and extremely satisfied.

Pros: Great buffet

Cons: unpredictable staff

The food here is great, they have a large menu with lots of choices. We like vegetable somosas as an appetizer. At dinner, if it's busy service can suffer. I suggest going at off times or at lunch. They have a great buffet at lunch (no buffet at dinner.) Lunch buffet choices change regularly. Interior is brand new and decorated nicely in an Indian theme. If it's too busy, try Taste of Thai a few doors down or Casaldi's Cafe (Italian) around the corner.
