Aside from the fact that I wish they would add some more options to their menu (quite limited), Rathbuns is a wonderful restaurant! Great ambiance, flavorful food, attentive staff. The portions aren't large but just enough if you order a 3

I certainly loved the taste of their food. You could tell it was prepared from fresh ingredients and it was served in a very appetizing way.

I am always adventurous when it comes to tasting different types of food. My sister and I tried this restaurant and I was satisfied with the food they served us. It was very rich in flavor, and the ingredients that they used were fresh. We absolutely liked their service because the attendants were prompt in providing our orders. It was indeed a very rewarding experience.

After several visits, me and my husband have had great food, and service is impecable each time we go. I work in Inman Park, and it's always a breeze even to pop in after work and hang out at the bar and have a few small plates. In fact, just about each time we go, we have appies and small plates because the choices are impossible to pick just one. Ask for Alycia to be your server and you will always leave with hands down some of the best dining you will ever have. Whether it's questions about specials, wine or whatever she will have you covered. And after you go, walk across to Krog Bar for after dinner drinks. Very cool bar indeed! I will keep going back time and time again always.

Kevin Rathbun is one of the all-timers in Atlanta food in my mind and his signature restaurant is one of THE best the city has to offer. I've yet to try a dish there that wasn't masterfully crafted. The space is fantastic. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. And every dish is as well executed as you'll get anywhere.

You aren't going to go wrong with any choice at Rathbun's, but if I had to pick a few personal favorites I would say start with YaYa's eggplant steak fries, but be warned they come as a hefty portion - just right for a group of 4-6. As far as entrees, I love the flat iron steak. I would say stay away from the brisket, but not because it's not good (it is), but because if you wanted brisket you would have been better off going to someplace with plaid tablecloths and a smoker in the parking lot.

For me the side dishes are the most memorable part of a Rathbun's meal, and they are what put my love for this place over the top. The charred corn with gouda is unbelievable. The cauliflower mash is spectacular. And the four cheese orchiette (read: mac-n-cheese) will knock your socks off.

Dessert? I can't help you there. I always order way too many sides to have room for sweets at the end, but I'm sure everything is fantastic!

Possibly the best American-style restaurant in the southeast with one of the best chefs the ATL has to offer, Rathbun's sits unassumingly in a former warehouse near the end of Krog Street in the Old Fourth Ward. Minimalist yet charming decor is nearly forgotten as soon as the menu arrives. Creative, shareable small plates like sweet potato fries with powdered sugar shows Rathbun's playful side while "second mortgage" large plates show off his culinary chops. Do yourself a favor quickly scoop some friends and check out the best Atlanta has to offer.

Great food here. You should go. My son had the Cowboy Rib Eye. It was the best tasting steak I have ever sampled. The piece of meat had an unique flavor all it own- not sure what is was but it was delicious. Everything that came to the table was great.

Everyone who worked there had a smile and were quite friendly. The manager went out of his way to make the evening a good time for all. The tables are bunched up a bit but I guess if they weren't half of the people trying to get a reservation would be out of luck. Parking was easy. Location was off the beaten path.

Had dinner at Rathbun's on Valentine's night. I can say several things, but this sums up everything....AWESOME!
There was a set menu and it was great. We started with an amuse and then went onto the halibut appetizer. We also had a field green salad, and two glasses of champagne. The server was excellent, the entree of a beef medallions was even better. Chef Kevin stopped by our table and we told him how great it was. We also had a terrific white chocolate mousse dessert.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody.

It truly makes me sad to be writing this sort of review because of a Valentine's Day dinner. We were expecting WOW and we got everyhting short of that. Let me start by saying that the food was WONDERFUL. I had Fois Gras that was easily the best I've had in years. An amazingly well prepared steak and two great cocktails. The service is my issue, and nothing else. We had a 10:00pm reservation and arrived at around 9:40. We were sat IMMEDIATELY which was wonderful. We were greeted by a young man that asked us if we'd like to start with bottled water or tap, we asked for tap which was promptly served. As he poured our waters he explained that the nights menu was Fixed Price, which we knew ahead of time upon making our reservation. We were asked to make a selection from each category; appetizer, salad/soup, side, entree, and dessert. Our waitress came by a few minutes later and abruptly asked us if we had any questions or if we were ready to order. We asked if we could order our desserts at the end of the meal and were given a funny face and a snicker. "I don't know, I want to make sure we don't run out" was her response. So we ordered all courses then. I also ordered a Manhattan, and also told her which glass of wine I'd like with dinner. Jump ahead 5 minutes: the closest occupied table gets apps, not there's but OURS. they explain to the SAME server that they are not theirs as they still hold their menus.... she takes them FROM their table and SETS THEM ON OURS! I was absolutely astonished. I could clearly see that the occupants next to us did not touch the food, but for $100/person are YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!? That is SO low class. From there our meal was FAIRLY normal. I received my Manhattan 15 minutes after ordering it, only after asking a different server to check on it for me (he was great). Our food was wonderful, our server through the whole night though seemed extremely disconnected and impersonal. I am sad to say, but I do not think I will be going back.

I brought my out of town boyfriend here for a date on Saturday night (12-06-08). This was our first time visiting Rathbuns and I will never go back. We made a reservation for 9:15 on a saturday night and planned our whole night around it. When we got there the place was extremely crowded, so much so that you couldn't move around in the bar. It was freezing cold every time someone opened the door and our table was 45 minutes late! The hostesses were extremely rude, and kept telling us there were 3 or 4 tables ahead of us. What's the point of a reservation then!? The bartender and waitress were both very nice. They offered us free drinks but we were so hungry we didn't want them! We finally got our food around 10:45 and it was really good. Unfortunately the place was so loud I couldn't hear anything my boyfriend was saying and we were sandwhiched in between 2 other tables. We had to move our table so the lady next to us could get out and leave. It was truly pathetic! Do not go here for a romantic date!!!!!!!!

Went to this restaurant the next night. I dined at the steakhouse the first night in town. Full bar, and packed restaurant along with a full patio area. Started at the bar and had two great specialty drinks with mint that the bartender made for us. MOved into the wine room? and although it was a more quiet area, it was more romantic for my wife and I. We had the trout and scallops for entrees. We also had the appetizer called Ya Ya which is a eggplant fried and powdered in sugar. WE also tried the appetizer of ahi tuna crudo? which was a little spicy, but it was like eating candy.
Save room for the four desserts. Peanut Butter pie, toffee cake, candy bar and the donut!
This place was great and I wish I had stayed a few more nights.

This was the first restaurant that I ever tried in Atlanta back when my fiance was trying to sell me on living in ATL. Since moving here, we have eaten out 100's of times, but Rathbun's remains one of my top spots. Everything on the menu rocks and the vibe is upbeat and fun.

My Mom was in town and I wanted to take her somewhere special, so I chose Rathbun's. From the start of the night things went from bad to worse. It took 15 min to get a drink after the waiter had scoffed at our request to taste 2 wines before buying a bottle. After that we rarely saw him. The menu was a little tacky. The salmon app was good but very small. Our main courses were both over $30 and the presentation left a lot to be desired. I had the elk which was pretty good but the broccoli and potatoes were inedible they were so salty. After politely complaining to the management, who seemed more put out than concerned, our rarely seen waitor dumped a bananna dessert off at our table with no explanation. Over all I was disappointed in the service and the meal. I wont be going back.

I can echo everything that the reviewer below me had to say. The food was fantastic (though not the be all end all meal that I've ever had), but our service was mind numbingly terrible. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks and they sat unfilled for large portions of our dinner. We had to practically wrangle our waitress down to get her to take our order and then felt hurried when ordering for fear that she would leave to "give us a few more minutes" and we'd never see her again. She was uninspired when asked about the food and gave no thought our questions about what wines we should order. With food this legendary in Atlanta, I would expect nothing less of the service. What we got was nothing more that I could get at any restaurant that charges 1/3 as much (of course the food wouldn't be up to par, but that's the point!).

Now I'm just left wondering if the diner below me had the same waitress!

We are both vegetarians, so you wouldn't think we'd have much to eat at places like Rathbun's. Wrong! The chef creates us a special vegetarian plate each time we go, and my plate always differs from my partner's. The desserts are incredible, wine list great, and the cosmopolitans rival anyone's.

We arrive about 10 minutes before our reservation and were told our table wasn't ready yet so we could have a seat at the bar. Ha! It was literally impossible to walk or stand without touching someone, let alone sit and have a drink. Well we are finally seated, 20 minutes after our reservation. A manager or somebody comes by and tells us we'll be getting free eggplant chips for our wait. I was impressed with that and it did soothe my frazzled mood a little. Enter the snooty, early twenty-something waitress. She did not introduce herself, didn't welcome us, didn't discuss specials with us, and generally seemed irritated that we were there. We had several questions about the menu, but she didn't seem to eager to check on us so after a few minutes we flagged down another waiter who looked like a deer in the headlights so we let it go. Finally our darling waitress returns and we place our order. My boyfriend asked a question about the side dish of one of the menu items and her response was "to me, the meal is really about the fish, not the side dish." We thought that was a laughably unprofessional response for a restaurant of that caliber but let it go. So cut to the food: the appetizer (beef tartare) was pretty good, my boyfriend's fish wasn't very impressive, and my duck was absolutely delicious. So it wasn't a horrible experience or anything but certainly didn't live up to our expectations. I liked the atmosphere and the food was good (or mine was anyway), but they have really got to get it together as far as honoring reservations and hiring a professional and competent staff. I can't imagine that anyone who had our waitress would want to return.

this was the best one!! It may be the best restaurant I've ever been to, in fact. Not only was the service impeccable, my medium rare cooked steak was the most wonderful thing I've ever tasted. All the dishes were seasoned well, no salt or pepper shakers necessary. Moreover, we were the only table outside, on a Tuesday. Often times servers neglect those tables but someone constantly had their eye on us, just in case we needed anything. The bone marrow was one of a kind, and amazing - as was the peanut butter banana cream pie. and to top it all off, the valet was complimentary.

Over all, if you want to try something truly special, go to Rathbuns. and save room for dessert!!

yumm!!

Our foursome went there to celebrate a graduation and had a wonderful time. The service was without exception professional, but still friendly and interactive. Our server's suggestions turned out to be outstanding, but of course so was everything else. Two of the small plates were exceptional - the softshell crab and the roasted marrow bones. All four of the entrees were quite good, but I recommend the elk chops. One of the steak dishes had the best side of the four - creamed roasted corn. We were pretty full, but the dessert sampler was shared by us and gave everyone just enough to cap off a perfect meal. The peanut butter banana pie and ginger cream brulee were our favorites.

Pros: Exceptional food and service

Cons: Neighborhood is a little scary

Everything about this place is what I look for in a great restaurant. While the food is fine dining, it is not stuffy at all. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. The waiter we had was extremely helpful, and everything he suggested was great. Definitely dont miss the raw beef with smoked salt, and the cabbage carbonara. But you really cant go wrong here. Dinner for two, 3 small plates, 2 main courses, 2 deserts, with a $44 bottle of wine was $180 with tip (and yes we had leftovers).

It is always the highlight of an Atlanta adventure to get to go to Rathbun's. There is an electricity about this place that makes for an awesome dining experience. Whether you desire a light fare, or are famished and in the mood for a mega meal, Kevin's got your taste buds bubbling! The corn may be a side dish, but I plan my meal around this delicous concoction, creamy and roasted and deliciously delectable every time! And whatever your entree, fresh fish, lamb or beef, be prepared to be gastrinomically glorified! Yummm, yummmmmmm, yummmmm! But don't stop there. My husband craves the banana peanut butter pie, but I taste the foursome platter of deserts and am not disappointed. Not only is the food divine, but the service is decidedly the best in the city. They are pleasant, helpful, and timely.
We ventured out on Valentines, and again, were blown away by the delicious dishes and delightful service. Be sure to check out Kevin Rathbun Steaks as well, if you are in the mood for a macho meal with a nice selection of sauces. Rathbun's rocks!!! Thanks, Kevin and Melissa for such a magnificent endeavor.

This is the first time I've been motivated enough to actually leave a review on this site or any other. My girlfriend and I visited Rathbun's last Saterday night after making reservations four days in advance. The first available time was at 10pm and we arrived 10 mins early. The hostess seemed annoyed at our presence when we first arrived, and despite the four empty tables we saw from the time we arrived, it took almost thirty minutes after our reservation time for us to be reluctantly seated. The small plates were good, but not great. We ordered the calamari and a raw plate of mozerella and sundried tomatoes. The kitchen lost our order and it took over an hour to recieve our meals. I ordered the braised brisket which was so tough and bland i actually sent it back.(Which is the first time I've ever done so) My date ordered the scallops which weren't bad but certainly not something to talk about. The manager came over afterwards and personally apologized and even comped the check which I do admire, but I will not be going back. I hate when a place gets some buzz around town and feels as if they no longer need to focus on service or quality, and that is my perception of Rathbun's.

Ok, special occasion, called a week ahead to get a reservation for sat night, 9:30 PM. Birthday party of 4. We ran 10 mins late and called at 9:20 to say we were within 5-10 mins, they said no problem. Got there at 9:40, they said well, we gave you table away since you were late so now there's going to be a bit of a wait. OK fine, we went to Krog bar (overrated) to have a drink. I checked back 30 mins later, nothing avail. Another 30 mins, nothing. At 10:45 I asked if we were going to be seated. The manager explained that we lost our table since we were 10 MINS LATE. I explained that its ridiculous to "lose" a reservation when we were only a few mins late and should have been seated next. Evidentatly, if you are late you can forget it. We dine out at nice places weekly and Ihave never encountered this nonsense exept for here. Even after explaining the special occasion, I got a blank stare in return. Thanks for the great service Rathbuns-we'll take our $200 a weekend dining business elsewhere!

We returned to Rathbun's for our 8th time over the course of the last several years the restaurant has been open. The bread was stale, the food below mediocre. The scallop special was served fried with jicama slaw. You couldn't taste anything but that it was fried. The oyster special was also fried, same lack of flavor. Delicious fresh crabmeat was served in an ovebearing cream sauce, in a tart. Again, could barely taste the fresh crabmeat. We've never been impressed by Rathbun's, but keep going back, thinking we're missing something due to all of the publicity. Once again, we were disappointed. Go to Wisteria or Repast, trust me...

Pros: can go in wo/ reservations between 6pm and 7pm and sit at the bar for dinner, a nice in town space

Cons: food lacks inspiration, creativity, and taste. Simply mediocre or below.

I certainly enjoyed dining at Rathbun's. The atmosphere is upscale casual and service was outstanding. At that point, I thought my filet was the best in Atlanta but Rathbun Steak has since opened.

Kevin Rathbun, pastry chef Kirk Parks, and co-owner Cliff Bramble continue to assemble an excellent staff that offers hands down one of the best dining experiences in Atlanta. The food and service are consistent and the menu offers enough options to appeal to a wide range of tastes. Kirk Parks' desserts are the best in the city. At this point, the same can't be said for the newer Kevin Rathbun Steak restaurant. There are still some glitches to be worked out there in both food consistency and service.

The food is the best in Atlanta... the service is not. Servers were not professional and not very knowledgeable... ... especially about wine. Wish Kevin would fix that.

We visited Rathbun's on our one year anniversary. Our waitress was formidable, but obviously in a hurry. We ordered our drinks, and the waitress stopped by three times in the course of 1o minutes asking if we were ready to order. We felt like we were immediately being rushed. This feeling continued for the remainder of our meal. We decided on two raw plates, a special of heirloom tomatoes, peaches with manchego and a balsamic drizzle which was fantastic, the other a raw beef which has little beef but a lot of oil and parmesan which was fantastic as well, just not what we expected. We did get a small plate: the scallops, described as "salt and pepper." We expected seared scallops with a salt and pepper crust, but they were fried with breading. They were spicy however, and loving heat, decided they were fine. We ended up ordering two specials: 1) A 24 oz. porterhouse we ordered medium rare that had an over-cooked NY strip and an undercooked filet 2) a wild salmon plate that was not worth pondering. The champagne we started with and the wine we enter into dinner with (an Oregon pinot) were excellent. After dinner, I kept looking around for our server in anticipation of a dessert sampler and dessert wines. Instead, we were surprised by her bringing a complimentary dessert with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate. The dessert was great and we felt appreciative of the gesture, and we were happy that it was well suited to the both of us. However, it felt clear that this was a bit of a cue to hurry and wrap it up. We thanked her afterwards and took our cue to exit. I will say she offered us the full dessert menu after the fact. Given the choice, we would have completed our meal with a few desserts and an after dinner drink. End of the day, we would have spent the extra thirty dollars to go back to Bacchanalia, where we were treated like kings and queens, got good service, did not feel rushed to make way for the next patrons, and left with a full dining experience.

Dined at Rathbun's during our annual visit to Atlanta and as expected, it was just as good as ever. The greek salad was perfect, and the appetizer of ahi crudo was like eating candy.(I wanted more) The entree that I had was the roasted duck with risotto and it was perfect. (Crispy on the outside and tender inside) For the desserts, I had a platter all by myself. A krog bar (candy bar), a blueberry something, the banana pie, and the sorbet ended this great dining experience. Skip the rest, cause this place is the best. I wish I had more time to eat here a second night!

We have boycotted Rathbun's for years since I had a disagreement with Kevin Rathbun's brother, Kent, who owns another eponymous (these guys don't have egos at ALL..lol) restaurant in Dallas (well, he did at the time). After depriving this place of our business, we decided to give it a try with some friendly coaxing. Upon arriving and literally almost being terminated by the valet who backed a Honda almost into me (literally within ONE inch), we made it inside. The place looks just as it does on the website, dark but not particularly romantic. Inman average, I'd say. Our pleasant waitress HIGLY recommended the last thing I would probably have ordered: steak. In particular, the filet and the ribeye (both the highest dollar items on the menu, which makes you suspicious). Two (of the four) of us decided to go with it; one of us ordering the filet and the other, a ribeye. Now please keep in mind that Rathbun;s just opened a steak house, like the highly overrated Prime or the boring but good Bones (Chops is still the best in ATL with McKendricks and Capital Grill a close second). In one word, AVERAGE. Two words: VERY AVERAGE. Not a great superlean cut, not marbled if you like that, just average. The preparation? Served warm, but not sizzling hot. Cooked fine but underseasoned and oversalted (if you understand what I mean). So please, stay away from the steaks (and probably that steakhouse too). Other entrees included duck (also average) and pretty decent lamb. But all in all, we hadn't been missing anything by boycotting this place. It's way average in a town full of more beautiful and less pricey superlatives. And shame on that waitress for leading us astray!!!

five friends and I went there for dinner a few nights ago. Service was attentive, and the food was good. My tuna was tasty, but not superb - however, my friend's lamb chops (special of the night) and scallops were beyond compare. What really sealed the deal, though, were the desserts, which come in small plates (at $3.75) so you can sample a few. I had the chocolate cherry cobbler with almond ice cream. It was by far one the best dessert I have had in Georgia, and my friends agreed

Rathbun's has been on my list of places to eat since I've lived away from Atlanta for many years. Therefore, I was excited to eat there last night, but Rathbun's sadly didn't live up to my expectations. Perhaps living in New York has spoiled me?

There were 3 redflags for me even before the food came: 1) the waitstaff were personable and polite, but not professional in the sense that I'd trust them to know the difference between a good dish and a great dish, plus their level of attentiveness was lacking (e.g., the waitress left without taking someone's order!); 2) the menu itself was poorly designed, cheaply printed, and hard to read -- the daily specials were written on copy paper and, you got it!, simply photocopied: how much would it cost to have a graphic designer give you printed excellence?; and 3) there simply were too many options on the menu, which to me is contradictory to the fine-dining experience of selecting from a few well prepared dishes using only the best and freshest ingredients.

Thankfully, the food was quite good. My appetizer of raw beef melted in my mouth (my mouth is watering just thinking about it!). My trout was simply delicious (the salt seasoning was perfect) and the broccoli that came with it was superb. However, the presentation of both dishes was only ok. It was as if I was seeing the work of a really great culinary student, not the work of a consummate professional. The desserts, however, were perfect: amazing presentation and simply delightful, especially the apricots.

Thankfully, we ate on the patio and didn't have to deal with the loudness and hipness inside Rathbun's. Too many people trying to be cool is enough to turn me off of any restaurant.

Overall, I'd say this is definitely a place where you must eat if you're in Atlanta. However, Rathbun's has a ways to go before it delivers true excellence to Atlanta. It seems to be coasting on past successes at this point. It's tired and that's too bad.

I really wanted to love this place. Rathbun's is just a few blocks from my house, and I just adore Krog Bar, so I'd hoped to make the restaurant a regular haunt. The decor was sterile, the seating was cramped, and the waitstaff was a bit pretentious. When we asked for appetizers, our server asked if we had decided on entrees. When we said we hadn't, she said she'd give us a few minutes to decide, and walked off without placing the appetizer order. I thought this was weird and pretty rude. The food was fine, although I'd expected much better, and the presentation matched the surroundings. Overall, I'd say the experience was satisfactory, but nevertheless disappointing because I'd gone with such high expectations. I've heard this same remark from many friends who have visited recently.

We had about the nicest and most relaxing evenings at Rathbuns that you could ask for. There was not one thing that I could find fault with. The ambience was really neat. Upscale without being pretentious in the least. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and timed the food well enough that there was plenty of time for conversation, not to mention a chance to sit and relax after the meal. The main courses were delicious. All were done imaginatively but with a level of restraint that allowed the flavor of the food to come through nicely. The dessert sampler was wonderful and very pretty and the wine list was very user friendly. I simply can't come up with even a whisper of a reason as to why I wouldn't want to go back. Actually, I can't wait to go back although I would wager that it can't be easy getting into that place on weekends. We went on a Tuesday night. Bottom line, I'm wondering why we didn't go sooner. For sure it's on my list for a return visit and a place to share with good friends.

As a disclaimer, I should mention that I was on a date I'd been looking forward to for 3 weeks. We would have been happy at Chik-Fil-A, but we were much happier at Rathbun's.

We were seated about an hour after our reservation but, did I mention I was on a great date?? We were having drinks at the bar and didn't even notice. The ambience was well balanced and I didn't find the restaurant to be unusually loud. We were seated next to each other in a booth which I would definitely recommend requesting when you make your reservation if you're planning an intimate dinner. Other reviewers have described the staff as pretentious. I disagree, our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and was completely attentive without being intrusive. At the risk of sounding sanctimonious, we were there to spend time with each other, so he fit our needs perfectly. Yes, as others have mentioned, the hostesses were bad Paris Hilton knock-offs, but so completely inconsequential to the evening they hardly warrant mentioning. The food was definitely worth mentioning. We had the famed eggplant, the buffalo steak and the duck with Thai risotto complimented by a wine recommendation from our waiter. The wine and both meals were excellent, the best duck I've had in recent memory.

Great company, great atmosphere, great service, great wine, and great food followed by the best dessert the blue room has to offer. We were looking for a restaurant that would provide the perfect score to an already great movie and that?s exactly what we got so we were pretty happy people!

Great company, great atmosphere, great service, great wine, and great food followed by the best dessert the blue room has to offer. We were looking for a restaurant that would provide the perfect score to an already great movie and that?s exactly what we got so we were pretty happy people!

Pros: Ambience, food, and wine were outstanding.

Cons: Traveling 3000+ miles to get there.

The atmosphere, the staff and most importantly....the food! This place is AMAZING!!! By far, the best meal I've ever had in my life! The scallops with grits are to delicious but the mini desserts are to die for (especially the peanut butter banana pie)! You can not call yourself a true Atlantan unless you've dined here. I recommend it to everyone and have never had a complaint!

This restaurant was my first really great dining experience in Atlanta in a long time. Everything was great - we were seated promptly for a 7:30 reservation on a Wednesday evening. Strangely enough, it wasn't that crowded when we got there, but when we left at 9:30, the restaurant was completely full - I suppose due to the restaurant's target crowd. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgable about the menu - he had great suggestions for both small and large plates.

We ordered the eggplant fries and the Thai rare beef for starters, both of which were good. The eggplant fries have a very interesting flavor because they are basically fried eggplant sticks with confectioner's sugar (think funnel cake) and Tabasco as a dipping sauce. You will also like the Thai rare beef if you like the flavor of cilantro and Thai seasonings.

We ordered the lamb chops, pork chops, sea scallops, and lamb shank for our entrees. Everything was wonderful, but the pork chops in particular stood out. Also, make sure you leave room for dessert because the "Pick 4" for $10 is probably one of the best deals in the city. The Heath bar with coffee ice cream was my favorite, but all of the desserts tasted as good as they looked.

Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere

Cons: The main room can get loud - if you're looking for something quieter, request the wine room

This past year shortly after Rathbun's opened, we went with another couple to have a Birthday Dinner celebration. And it was an experience to remember. Started with drinks at the festive bar, and was seated shortly after. Lobster Taco's blew us away. Kevin made it a point to come by the table to say hello, and well as his lovely wife. Loved the birthday candle on the Banana Split Desert. Service is just first class, and Rathbun's is one of our fave's.

Pros: Lobster Taco's! Great Service! Personable Owner!

I've been to Rathbun's twice and each time was an excellent experience. I'm a vegan, and they cater to my dietary restrictions even if such a dish is not on the menu. The bread is also vegan too! I love the bread there. My fellow meat eater's that accompanied me were also very satisfied. Love this place! However, make reservations if you want seating inside (there's some outside patio seating also).

Pros: Service caters to your personal needs, attentive waiters, excellent food

Cons: Only valet parking, can be a bit pricey (but most of the time it's worth it)

Kevin Rathbun's dream restaurant has textured walls---brick on one side and block on the other---that are low lit for atmosphere, and high ceilings showcase industrial elements. The problem is, the space badly needs sound attenuation. For…
