I don't normally complain about things. In fact, sitting in the salon, I felt compelled to keep my mouth shut, even though the stylist who cut me and my sister's hair made obvious blunders. My sister literally cried for hours after we had gotten home and she got a good look in the mirror at her haircut. I can't remember the stylist's name but she was the only one working there on a Sunday afternoon, was maybe in her 40s or 50s, heavy-set, and had a short, boyish hair cut.

First of all, she didn't even offer to wash our hair. She asked my sister what she wanted and my sister expressed that she was nervous about having bangs cut. My sister explained that she wanted her bangs cut straight across the middle, then layered on the sides, framing her face. She was adamant about having them hit her eyebrows, nothing shorter.

The stylist nodded and seemed to understand. She then proceeded to spend ten minutes complaining about how damaged my sister's hair was and how ugly it looked when she first walked in. She even described it as "mullet-like." Then she just started snipping at various strands, without really measuring things out or taking time to make sure she wasn't going too short. The bangs looked okay at that point. But then she grabbed a razor and told us she wanted to make my sister's bangs "fringy." She just started sawing away at various strands. My sister panicked and told her to stop. When she turned to look at me, a whole chunk of the left side of her bangs was gone, causing the remaining strands to tuft up.

To make matters worse, the stylist insisted she wasn't done and that my sister had a communication problem.

My sister reminded her that she had not wanted her bangs higher than her eyebrows, to which the stylist became condescending and said, "bangs mean you can actually see out. You said you wanted bangs, not side-swept."

At that point, we asked her to stop and just trim the long layers at the end of my sister's hair.

She retorted with "well, if I trim all her layers, she'll have no hair left, since all of this breakage is different layers." She then just snipped a little at the bottom and charged us 23 dollars for the cut.

My sister's bangs literally look like a child cut them with his or her eyes closed. No one can believe that a certified stylist was responsible for that cut.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR HAIR CUT BY THIS LADY. I WISH I COULD REMEMBER HER NAME.

She cut my hair also. I thought it looked okay curly, but when I straightened it, there were a million different lengths, none of them a consistent layer. One part of my hair just poofs up because it is so much shorter than the rest.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS WOMAN? HOW COULD SHE HAVE EVEN GOTTEN HER LICENSE??

PROS:
CONS: Awful service. Stylist does NOT listen to you.
