This review is my experience retaining Ed Joyal and his daughter, Rosemarie. I want to preface this review by saying that I have never complained at a restaurant, much less written a nasty review online. I needed to share our experience and horrible experience with this law firm so hopefully someone else can avoid the nightmare we dealt with.

They are impossible to get a hold of. Impossible. Until they need more money from you.- then they will call and email you every single day until they get the check. Once they get the check? It's radio silence. Rosemarie failed to tell us about a new offer from opposing counsel (that we found out about from the person on the other side of the case). When I called to find out how this was missed and not only did they not give me the most current offer, but actually told me contradicting information..... I did not get a call back for OVER THREE WEEKS. When I did get a call back, it was a snarky e-mail from Ed saying that there was no need to contact me and he was waiting on direction from me on how to move forward in the case. DUH. I HAVE BEEN CALLING FOR THREE WEEKS.

I did not find either of them to be very intelligent- they were unable to EVER answer a question directly and just sort of talk in circles all the time. They are very nice (once you are able tog et a hold of them), but they failed to give us a solid game plan for our case, or offer any insight that made me comfortable they were capable and competent to handle such a case.

We had them as our lawyers for about 6 months during an estate issue and they dropped the ball every step they could. They did not file things they said they would, they did not read opposing counsels orders carefully.... they made every wrong decision that they possibly could. They failed to present offers from opposing counsel to me, and in fact- presented incorrect information to me.

My husband and I have worked with 6 different lawyers for various reasons the past few years and the Joyals are hands down, without a doubt, the absolute worst that I have ever met. They are overpriced, impossible to get a hold of... which would be fine if they were some ace legal team that was hitting it out of the park. But they simply are not. They are not good at what they do. They are nothing more than money hungry vultures who spend their entire day trying to determine how to jack up charges against their clients. They send these ridiculous invoices that are so detailed and thoroughly done- if they had paid half that much attention to our case, it would have been done 3 months sooner!!!!!

All I can say to anyone thinking about hiring the Joyals to represent them is to be very careful. We had such a terrible experience with them and I am a very reasonable person. Our first meeting with our new lawyer after we decided to *cough cough* change counsel was 100% more productive and she had better insight in an hour than the Joyals had in 6 months.
