We find the food here great. We make a point to eat here weekly! My spouse and I have sampled several dishes and find them to be as tasty as many found in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. The ambiance is a little lacking (contemporary music over Asian-themed, an Italian painting on the wall), but that is nothing that detracts from the meal. It's one of the best restaurants in Wichita Falls.

I have lived in Thailand for 4 years back in the late 1960's to early 1970's. This place in not a Thai place. More like lazy Koreans who have no clue. The food was terrible and no one spoke any Thai in the place. Never go here and think you have tasted Thai food! The place is very much akin to La Choy fake Chinese food.

I moved here from Phoenix Arizona where there are allot of Thai restaurants. Growing up as a military brat my dad played golf with allot of Thai friends who always brought Thai food to our cookouts. Therefore I have a decent idea of Thai food and what it is supposed to be like.

I went to Thai Orchard on May 13th 2009. The restaurant only had two other customers so I assumed the wait would not be long. To my dismay the service was slow and the waitress was horrible. I thought ??if the food was good it would be worth the trouble?.

After a long wait the food got to my table fresh from the kitchen. The food was hot and that was good. Upon beginning to eat my meal, I noticed the food did not taste right; the noodles were very soggy and were not rice noodles. The overall dish lacked flavor and spiciness. The dish did not look appealing as the cook did not plate the dish well. The vegetables tasted a bit old and the beef was tough. I also noticed that they did not use Thai peppers they used Jalapenos! This was not authentic Thai food!

Please do not waste your time or money at this place. I hope it shuts down soon!

We ate here on 2/14, and were disappointed to find that what was once a very good Thai spot in Wichita Falls has taken a turn for the worse. I don't know if they've had a change in management, or kitchen help, but things were definitely not up to par. The Tom Kha Gai soup, for example, was lacking the Thai peppers that provide the "heat." I attempted to discuss things with the manager, but there was a language gap, compounded by problems with the register (it was ringing up $229, instead of $29).Like the other reviewer, I have usually gone for the Panang Curry, but for this visit, opted for something different--the Come See Mee. It was basically chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, no crispy noodles, and should have been fine, but just wasn't to my liking at all.I would be interested to know if they have made changes in management and/or cooking staff. I dined here about a year ago, and was extremely pleased. Sadly, things have changed.

We eat at the Thai Orchid about once a week. It is rarely busy and the service is mostly prompt. We have had a few visits where the service was slow, but it was on the rare occasion that most tables where full. I think they were caught off guard! The food, however has always been great. We can normally get a second meal out of the doggy bag we take home. The Panang Curry Chicken (nice and spicy) is my favorite - followed closely by the Sesame Chicken. We have taken "picky" eaters to the Thai Orchid and even they found something on the menu they liked.

This is a small restaurant that is rarely busy. It is a treasure, though! The portions are huge and the food is exceptional.

They offer take-out, lunch specials, catering, and banquet facilities. The employees are very nice and don't make you feel like you are inconveniencing them in any way.

Highly recommended!
