.

I have been a patient of Dr Levine for years due to anxiety. I only go to see him now every few months for a renewal of a mild medication but years ago, my anxiety was so high, I entered therapy with him.

His style is not sweet and sympathetic, but it sure works. Before therapy, I was so anxious, I couldn't go near an airplane and almost lost my dream job. After, not only could I fly, I flew all over the country and to the UK many times. Amazing.

He treats mostly very disturbed patients inpatient but also treats those with anxiety and depression at his office.

The office is located in a house and is very small. A tiny waiting room and a tiny staff awaits. His office is simple but large.

He listens then suggest medications that he believes will help. I always refuse them and he respects my decisions. He is amazingly knowledgeable about the newest meds on the market and how they perform. He talks TO you not down to you.

He treats my brother as well for anxiety and he never talks about him to me or me to him. Very professional.

He isn't one to go to if you want someone to give you an easy way out. You work, and work hard. But he gets results.

Although I no longer am actively in therapy with him, I do get a dose of his recommendations and deep thoughts every few months when I drop by for my 15-30 minute visits.

He heads a psych unit in Syracuse and is used to dealing with seriously mentally ill patients but he also switches tacts with we mildly (or moderately) anxious or depressed patients in his office.

He isn't cuddly, but he is right on and knows his stuff.

He'll get you back in your feet again!
