The reception is the worst, anybody know her get to see doctor immediately, but I have to wait at least 2 hours to see the doctor every time. If I called to make an appointment, they will say that just walk in, but when somebody came late but got to see doctor before me, they said they have appointment.
The doctor just gave me a simple eye drops for my eye infection, but it does not work and even make it worse.
I would not recommend this doctor.

My family has been seeing this physician for over 10 years and believe that some of the other reviews are too harsh. Indeed, my initial reaction with the office staff was similar, however, my experience with the doctor has been consistently good. I have showed up several times when he opens (without an appt) due to my worsening overnight medical conditions, and found the doctor and staff to be accommodating. This doctor has frequently been available for follow up questions by telephone directly or through his staff. None of the reviews questioned his competence, nor should they. He is extremely up to date on most general medical issues and refers patients to qualified specialists when appropriate.

Our insurance assigned us to this doctor automatically under our HMO, and trying to get a basic checkup for my son was horrible. The receptionist/nurse was rude and disorganized, and she left our insurance card sitting out in the open on the front counter for almost 45 minutes while she helped many other patients who could easily read our information, sitting right next to the sign-in sheet. The doctor claimed that we needed special authorization from our insurance for normal immunizations required by state law and our son's school (pertussis and chicken pox). I suspect that this is a ploy to get payment for an additional, unnecessary office visit from our insurance. My simple (and repeated) request to have my son's eyes checked on the eye chart hanging in the office were ignored, and I was told to take him elsewhere for that. I will be reporting the situation to our HMO.

Very unprofessional receptionists, who doesn't speak enough English to clearly explain herself.

When I tried to make an appointment, I could not understand her and the conversation ended up in her yelling "YOU WANT TO COME, YOU COME!!!"

Very disappointed.

Dr. Chan, Diplomate, American Board of Family Practice, runs a small practice in Arcadia. Office is located amongst several medical, lab & radiology offices close to Duarte & Baldwin. Very friendly and knowledgeable, Dr. Chan spends time with you to answer all your questions and is often available via phone.

PROS: Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly
CONS: In heart of several medical offices, so parking can be tough
