I had some problems with the starter on my Honda Civic - it's an older car, but since money is too tight to think of replacing it now, I decided to have it fixed.

The guys here did a wonderful job, had the new starter and serpentine belt

My truck was having some problems and it didn't pass the emissions test so I came to Lloyd's like I do whenever I need something fixed. It turns out I needed to replace a couple of O2 sensors and the mechanics here did the work much more

They charged me $600.00 for a $250.00 dollar job! they replaced my alternator and charged me $600.00, the alternator was bad so they replaced it at no charge but swapped out all my belts and charged me $150.00 now every time I start my car or if I am at a stop sign it squeals, I've had the belts tightened but they are cheap belts and are slippery so they continue to squeal. I would not recommend Lloyd's.

I took my car in because it had 4 problems. My dome light was broken, my map lights came on randomly, sometimes when I wasn't in the car so they drained the battery, the car was overheating to the point smoke poured out, and due to the constant discharge/recharge of my battery, it was on its way out.

They replaced the battery and the dome light, no problem (though slightly more expensive than the dealership had quoted).

They replaced the map lights, but now my automatic sunroof (which is controlled on the same panel) will open but not close!

They also told me that they couldn't find the overheating problem and that it was probably just a problem with the car's gauge telling me the car was overheating when it really wasn't. I asked them why, then, the car sometimes smoked and they told me it was nothing to worry about.

A quick search on google later told me that my model of car is well-known for having a bad engine coolant temperature sensor and thus fails to switch on the cooling fan automatically when needed. The symptoms of this are exactly as I described...the car overheats and nothing else is wrong with the cooling systems. It's a 30-second repair and the part costs about $15 and **my model of car is known for this problem** how could these people not figure out what the problem was other than sheer incompetence.

Or the fact that they told me they could go through my entire cooling system part by part and see what was bad, but that labor on that would be about $1000 plus parts and labor on whatever they found wrong.

AVOID this place at all cost! Things come out broken that were fine when they went in and you're still left with some of your original problems.

PROS: The guys who work there are nice
CONS: The service is expensive and incompetent

When I thought I had issues with the air conditioner in my car, I looked in the phone book and decided to try these people out. Bad choice! It turns out that they tried to tell me that thy "jimmy rigged" the hose so it would work but I needed to bring it in again and have them really fix it for an extra charge. I came back in and isntead of the extra charge only being $70 like thye quoted me, it would be $500. I refused to pay and I took my car back. A year later, there jimmy rig job is still owrking and, like I thought, the only problem was that the free-on needed to be filled up. As a side note, a friend of mine and I were talking and we got on the topic of cars....this company came up and she had a very similar experience as I did. She, however, got a second opinion (family friend) and they plainly told her that they were lying the job to fix it was a $100 not a $2000. These are very dishonest people and I would not recommend!
