CVS is slick with their advertising. Half the things in their ad have two asterisks by them (**), and at the bottom of the page it notes that quantities are limited and no rain checks will be offered. But what I've found, on more than one occasion, with these fantastic deals they offer (DVD players for $20 and so on), is that they don't even receive any to sell. And it's not just this location. For the DVD offer, I called every single CVS store in the Twin Cities area. Not only did none of them have any in stock, the employee that I spoke with at every single store admitted they hadn't even received any to sell! To me that just screams false advertising.

So ... if I shop at CVS, it's not for what's in the ad, because I can't trust their ad. I will go in there if I'm in the neighborhood and need to pick up something quickly without the hassle of going through a bigger store like Target.

But just be aware that their ad isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

PROS:
CONS: False advertising
