***WARNING*** VISIT WITH CAUTION ***

The experience I had interacting with the lady from this rescue was without a doubt the worse, border-line traumatizing i've had with anyone in my life. Dramatic much? I wish, since I'm limited to 5,000 characters ill restrain myself to only themain points of this horrendous event.

The morning of, I called and asked if I could come in to see a cat i'd seen, she said yes, verbatim, "i'll be in between 3-5P.M." I said great! and at 2:57P.M I sent a text letting her know I was on my way and would arrive by 3:30. When I arrived she was no where to be found, I texted her and called her NOTHING. A few minutes went by, and suddenly a van pulls in and I pep up ready to let all the hassle pass me by in order to meet the cat.

When she gets out she walks straight to the door, completely disregarding my existence. Fine. No big deal, maybe she's out of it... I smile and give a welcoming "Hello!" She looks up with the key in the locked door, and spits "YOU NEED TO LEAVE". I froze, and before anything could come out she goes off on what seemed an eternal tangent of how she was, "ONE PERSON AWAY FROM LOSING IT, I AM SO PISSED." she omitted all her problems on me. As any person would, I told her she shouldn't be taking out her problems on ME, A STRANGER, A 19 YEAR OLD girl. On the verge of tears I turned around and walked to my car, with her ongoing screams as I left. PLEASE DO NOT come here unless your prepared to be harassed in exchange for the chance of seeing one of her cats.

My recent interaction with the rescue was positive. They took excellent care of orphan kittens that had to be bottle fed. They rescued them from a place that euthanizes. My interaction with the rescue was good - it's all in how you look at it. I didn't know them and was helping find a surrogate mama cat for the babies through facebook and e-mails. I haven't adopted a pet from this rescue but I really don't think rescue workers should be spending all their energy trying to make everyone feel warm and fuzzy. (They are just like you or me working hard and don't have PR people.) I would not be offended if a rescue asked me all kinds of personal questions before letting me adopt one of their animals.

I can appreciate that sometimes when people are passionate about what they are doing, and have seen alot of ugly - they may come off as abrasive. I have recently adopted a lovely rescue dog, and initially found the individual I dealt with - rough - in a word. Here's the deal, they LIVE rescue and are evangelistic about the four legged lives they venture out to save each day; all day. I think maybe it effects them to see what we are capable of as upright walking animals. I'd encourage you to trust, be patient, don't judge or take it personally - their interest and goal is true. The animals wouldn't be in a shelter or suffering if it weren't for the two legged ones putting them there.

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS "RESCUE!" DO NOT DONATE TO THIS "RESCUE." My daughter, a senior graduate student and the most responsible pet master one could imagine, made contact with this organization. She was treated like a criminal simply for inquiring about a puppy. The woman with whom she spoke was stunningly rude, insulting and refused to answer any questions. We are pet owners from Iowa and she said she would NOT place a dog out of state--"you out-of-state people always fall through." This woman would not even speak to her--without knowing/asking a thing about her or our family. She clearly has no desire to place the poor animals that are unfortunate enough to find her shelter.

I can't believe these people call themselves a rescue group.
They are the most unprofessional people I've ever come across in the animal rescue field. These people are mad with power.
